  1. Protection by an Honorspren, or one elim knows another. Maybe should have done something at the end of the cycle but I wasn't thinking especially straight. Not sure if I would have done anything anyway :P. For some reason I expected more manip than none, but maybe I'm misremembering how much there is available. I'll be gone for the large middle portion of this cycle, because sleep. But I should be around for another 45 minutes or so.
  2. Would be interested in hearing said reasons As long as they comply with the anonymity we're all still pretending we have, at least. That's unfair, I suppose, I wouldn't say I'm confident in who's in what doc one hundred percent. Just like eighty-five percent.
  3. I request elaboration, if at all possible. Glad to see you're getting in the voting spirit though
  4. xD Well we all know I value self preservation more than a lot of other players so maybe that’s just me
  5. Welcome to Day One :D. I’m probably okay with voting Archer as well base purely on vibes, but idk what the VC is.
  6. Oh. Well. You kind of need to be able to do that xD Good news is that the running theory is 1 elim per elim doc so you’re not missing on evil communication if you’re evil :P. But Spren docs are useful. Unless you mean that you just can’t access it at this present moment but can later. If that’s the case, ignore me How this works? We try to find evil people and vote them out, meanwhile the evil people kill us one by one— we’re the uninformed majority, and they’re the informed minority. Usually. In this case they’re split, and so are we, but that’s the general rule. Sorry if that’s not what you were asking about. Archer, I don’t think any elim would purposely sabotage advice for all the thread to see :P.
  7. That’s the thing about reaction tests— If you knew it was one beforehand it wouldn’t be a very effective one. It was kind of a serious suggestion, but mostly not. If Cryptics claim that just outs the Honorspren, so that isn’t really a good idea either. You touched on that I think though. Agree on TUN Not to dissuade your unvoting of me, but there won’t really be anything to go off of D1 Sheeping xino and voting TUN, also kinda self pres. Will reread later
  8. Ah yes, signaling with my teammates, while having no prior way to set up said signal, and therefore it being completely useless. I’m not even sure what you’re referring to there. Unvote. It is, and it’s a bad idea, so you passed the reaction test :P. Kasimir
  9. @Archer @Kasimir @The Unknown Novel @HOID WANTS INSTANT NOODLES How do we feel about a full blown contribution crusade today? :D.
  10. Yeah, that’s what it is. Archer and Kas’s number distro talk is whooshing over my head as well so don’t feel bad :P. I’m just at elims=bad, other spren faction=slightly less bad, kill until we win. So :P. I’d rather not set up any predetermined screeeech code, just as a general rule. Probably the best way is to just let the parties in question figure it out in the Deadeye PM itself.
  11. I keep having to remind myself I'm allowed to quote in this game I got too used to not for my own liking. The distro is an interesting discussion point I think- with 8, the Spren docs are likely 4/4 (I say likely, but there's 4 headings in my doc so :P) but the elims probably are 2/1 or just 1/1. I guess there could be a Spren doc that's completely clear? I'm not sure if that's specified in the rules. 2 elims makes about as much sense as 3 to me. The reason this matters is that there could potentially be an unequal number of village Honorspren to village Cryptics, if there's 3 elims. Though as I'm writing this the 2 elim, 1 in each doc theory makes the most sense because it makes the game as equal as it could be. So I guess that's my running theory.
  12. I’d be lying if I said I knew when the cycle ended Kasimir has a one hundred percent elim rate for BTs, seems like a decent place to start. Never mind that I do as well.
  13. Someone tell me what I need to hear

To be clear: I don’t know what I need to hear, I think I’m doing great, it’s not about anything like that :P Think of it as a sort of thought experiment on my part.

Asking for ambiguous, but honest, advice of whatever comes to your mind.

  14. Reading the rulebook is optional, right? When you’re leaving home for college.
  15. My character will be a spren named Pie— Either just an honorspren with an unassuming name, or a Cryptic trying very hard to remain incognito, without entirely abandoning his love of math.
  16. I didn’t do much, but a lot of others did a bunch of good things, such as avoiding my screw-ups I feel alright about ending on Elan D2, since I knew my vote would be randomly redirected. But that probably isn’t an excuse; my reads were pretty bad for a majority of the game. We caught a lucky break not having to deal with Stick’s FF abilities at all, and I think the relatively disorganized JNV exe was lucky too. Ash was… findable, to say the least. I don’t know what that says about the game design, but I think that it’s not as broken as it looks. I’ll be interested what Fifth says though. My role was a unique challenge, and one I enjoyed playing. Glad I could scan Steel before killing him >> Thanks for running the game and for your writing, @Fifth Scholar, @Kasimir, @Devotary of Spontaneity! I appreciate you giving Jeral the character arc I never did
  17. Welcome! This is a signup thread for running a game, but there should be signups going up soon for some games to play. I see that you already found the BT thread, which is great
  18. If you’re next in line, go for it.
  19. I’ll play! Hope we get enough people this time. Pretty much any cycle length and start time works for me.
  20. Jeral sat at his table, feeling almost numb. It was hard to believe he’d survived. Many hadn’t, and they were people Jeral had known. Whether he’d liked them or not didn’t seem to matter now that they were gone. Death had an interesting way of putting disagreements into perspective. It might have been his mind grasping for a bright side— despite the final Spiked being caught, the recent events had left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth— but Jeral thought he was closer to being able to purchase the golden cane-sword than he had been before this whole mess had started. Economy suffered in times of crisis, it appeared. Just a short time ago, Jeral would’ve been thrilled, but he’d since taken a life. Now he didn’t even want his regular cane-sword. Perhaps… perhaps if he ever managed to buy it, he’d donate the weapon to the monument being built for the Fallen. Somehow, that seemed far more appropriate than keeping it for himself. What a thought. Jeral revised his opinion. Death didn’t just put arguments into perspective, it put everything into perspective. Soon it would be time for Faleast to be taken away. He rose, figuring he should probably be there. For a moment his mind wandered to his dice; the ones he never left home without. He even got as far as to pick them up from off the table and toss them, revealing a perfect roll. As they were designed to do. Then Jeral spun, leaving them where they had landed, and left.
  21. Alv missed I roleblocked Ashbringer successfully though, so I guess that’s double confirmed. Shorter day is fine with me. Design suggestions… I’ll have to think on that.
  22. I mean, if you didn’t xD
  23. …Sorry xD This game has basically been me repeatedly messing up, but just barely not bad enough to ruin anything
