Just lost a massive reads list due to me being doubly stupid :D. First, I misclicked while trying to c/p it over and deleted the whole thing. Second, reloaded the page instead of just CTRL-Zing :| Short version is (tiers not ordered) Ask for reasons if you want them, in thread or in PMs, whatever. I had them all typed out but sorry, not doing that again :P.

We had like the exact same thought process wow Who did Drake say he scanned C1 to you? Just cause I'm curious. Tbh I read Drake's vote as retaliation for Illwei breaking his gambit so soon but maybe he suspects her :P.

This line kind of reads elim to me for some reason xD Something about the tag and the quote together, feels... more desperate than necessary, I guess. Agree with the village Illwei read completely. I assume because Drake had PMd Archer the same... no, ok, mid-sentence I finally understood what you meant by that :P.

I don’t have a conclusive choice yet. I’m still slightly sus of Bip, but in an effort to avoid tunneling I don’t really want to go there without more thought. I’m not opposed to Bort, just opposed to this specific line of reasoning I guess It’s like the same line of thinking I had with you, actually, but no one understood that so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe everyone else will check PMs before the thread :P. That’s normally what I do. Sure, but I think there’s an equal argument to be made that this is a cover for Bort and a frame for Bort.

Why doesn’t it make more sense that the elims saved their N1 vial? Or that they doubled to frame Bort? What kill situation would have made it so that you didn’t vote Bort? imo two kills today is the most obvious indicator of v!Bort unless you really are considering the framing option

I think it’s probably just the double stockpile but Tani’s right in that we can’t actually tell >> Looks like low info all around, I’ll go check to see if Ash said anything of note. Maybe the elims just hate RP.

Did I say that? :P. Clearly my thoughts hadn't fully developed yet :P. I mean, I kind of think the role slip reason was better than the shade gun reason, even though neither were that good. Voting also doesn't happen at night so you're good! Welcome to the game!

...Six Ok. I definitely had forgotten that. I was thinking like one or two xD imo it's drawing direct attention to 'here, I'm voting alone' as opposed to being the second/third in a 4-5 train but this is a small enough detail that comes out to personal opinion and we could debate this until the end of time :P. Heron was also village :). Not willing to see him dead only because of that, no. Again this was said while under the impression that there were no more than two side trains. There's a big difference between side train voting alone and side train voting alongside five others, and this helps me get where you're coming from more. /shrug Old Kas habits dies hard Oh joy

I voted Biplet for gut/tone, about the same as Archer on D1. Which probably added to my dislike of his train. I also didn't really like her reasoning for voting Thaid, and I indirectly responded to that post last cycle. But... my whole point is that staying quiet/under the radar while voting is easiest to do while not starting a new train xD This is probably where the difference is, because I'm definitely speaking more broad here and not limiting it to this game, where I maybe should be. Depends on how many side trains there were. I don't think all the elims voted TUA/Stick, but if Archer was virtually the only one who didn't, then no, I don't think he's elim because of that. To me it makes much more sense that the elims didn't vote or voted TUA/Stick. But if I'm being honest I did forget Bip started a side train. I'm open to Szeth or Fifth being evil, sure. I was mobile only for most of the Day turn so I didn't actually go back to see who was on the trains while making that argument- I already said that I'm arguing these things in the broader sense. I was already on Bip before this became a discussion topic, and I wasn't voting her for being on a side train so that point is meaningless. I didn't exert pressure on TJ because it was late in the cycle and as far as I knew no one else had expressed any suspicion on TJ, whereas I knew Archer at least shared my opinion of Bip. This way my vote could be more useful than not, and I figured it'd be useless to pressure someone who's timezones didn't line up :P. Thought process was Elims want to stay under the radar, voting on a side train alone is not that. I understand that this doesn't fit as well into this game as it has in other games. Isn't NAI decidedly not clearing? :P. You maintain that there's an elim in all of the vote groups- My current suspicions fit that as well. TJ's in the TUA/Stick pile, and Bip's in the side train pile. But also none of my reasons for suspecting them have to do with that, because I view side trains as NAI in the sense that both alignments do it equally as much. I didn't like that the only reason people had for Archer was voting a side train, just like I didn't think people's reasons for voting Thaid were very good.

First, stuff from the Day- @Kasimir- No, but the elims having no investment in who dies was kind of my point. Easy enough to stay quiet or hop on a bandwagon, starting a whole new train seems unnecessary to me. I'm not saying I village read Archer for starting a new train, just that I think it's wrong to elim read him for it. I can spin back the question- do you seriously think none of them were non-voters, or that none of them voted TUA/Stick? I think it's much more likely that the elims are on TUA/Stick rather than the two side trains, and that doesn't come from me looking at who was on what train, that's coming from my view of SE as a whole. Again I'm not village reading Archer for starting a new train, just thinking it's weird he got elim read for it. As far as I'm concerned it's NAI, and more village than not if both leading trains are village. @Fifth Scholar- My joke post was directly in response to your post, though. So if you're saying the "there is 1+ new reply" that made you vote TUA was my joke post idk what to think about that. When have we even talked to each other though xD @Kasimir- See the bottom section of this post- mostly it came down to me having a negative gut reaction to TUA's analysis and considering him even in my mind with JNV. I just unvoted JNV since I couldn't vote both, but I voted TUA later after TJ made a point about JNV that made me read them more village. Now from the current turn: I didn't know like know know, just knew, like, knew :P. You know. I explained at least 2 times why I didn't like the Thaid train, so I defer you to that I guess :P. Took the Nicrosil so that the elims didn't :D. You're welcome

Maybe my question can be answered finally (No worries, Fifth, glad you’re here ) I won’t be on from nowish until rollover. Vote staying where it is, I’ve already said my thoughts on the current trains.

I’n fine with Thaid as an exe in general but I don’t like the reason behind it. Karn and I made it very clear it was a strange time to claim so panicking/editing was a reaction that makes sense. Stick’s mention of forgetting the item is another thing I don’t really get, people forget things all the time :P. What would an elim have to gain with that open contradiction? That being said I think there’s been enough Thaid interactions from him, with him, and about him to glean something from his flip and I’d prefer his exe over Archer or Steel.

I don’t see any reason to kill Archer. Starting side trains isn’t suspicious if the lead trains were village, which I think most of us agree that Stick probably is. I still think that it makes more sense for Thaid’s reaction to come from a villager- it’s not like panicking and editing out is a weird reaction. TJ/Thaid does make sense as e/e though, and I don’t have a huge aversion to the Thaid exe. I still feel the best on Bip or TJ, I’ll stay where I am right now.

On the discussion of how the elims are killing- I don't think there's really a way to tell until it's obvious. Either we'll get a kill tonight, or we won't. In the latter situation we'll keep wondering until like N4 when four people die and we're like, oh :P. So while it's useful to know I don't think it should be the primary force of discussion, I guess. There has been surprisingly little discussion for the page count and I still get neutral/village vibes from everyone which is pretty annoying :P. Steel I'm no longer interested in voting for. Their 'elim slip' was not that at all and Kas' points about the way he's approaching the game are valid. Stick is a non-starter for me at the moment, I agree with Steel in regards to Stick's PM fish gambit thing they did, it'd be a strange thing to do as elim imo It's interesting that Bort was apparently RBd but they'd say that they didn't take an action regardless of their alignment. I don't want to LAFO there either, it'd be more tempting if it wasn't a returning player and if there wasn't so much uncertainty about the kills. I tonally don't feel the best about Biplet so I guess I'll go there, but I probably could be pursuaded to TJ as well.

I like Steel’s defense and I sympathize with using weird wording :P. I believe he also mentioned something about being targeted and that’d be a strange thing to mention the way he did as elim. Unfortunately that puts me back at square one. Current plan is to go do irl stuff for half an hour but then I’ll reread and be back.

Huh, I hadn’t noticed that. Definitely don’t disagree there but I think calling out elim slips is tricky since weird wording can just be weird wording The bolded is essentially what it came down to me, I think I mentioned that concern in PMs once :P. But yeah, it’s why I tagged Fifth instead of voting him or Stick. I didn’t catch why you voted Archer but I understand the post was rushed.
