  1. That was great. both ILuvHats and The Awakened Salad are right, though. The grammar needs work. On the magic system: nice. I want to keep reading to figure out what the other uses for Ichor are, or if there are none, then the applications. The plot moves fairly quickly, but after reading over many books, the best way to fill pages and still keep the plot moving is to show more of the Character's thoughts and emotions. I would suggest italicizing the thoughts to make it more clear. Overall: I want to read more! If you set a system for writing, then the plot can move fairly quickly through the book. Good job!
  2. Ash. Well, Shallan did that with a gemstone. Not quite a fabrial, but basically a half-fabrial (like the half shards)
  3. so on a computer, you might have a copy that allows you to copy and paste. Idk for beyond that
  4. Welcome! I don't play D&D yet, so I don't know. *also, you double posted
  5. Thanks. You did it better than me.
  6. So, is the Hakanic republic focused on naval power like Tomaka? otherwise they seem at a major disadvantage for an island state.
  7. But the thing is that people can move from country to country based on decisions. They don't live in Evil forever and don't live in Good permanently. This can give a sense of "shades of grey" as King of Nowhere pointed out. Brandon trys to keep out of making a character 'locked' in either country. Additionally, I think that there might be multiple countries in between that might say, for example, that the ends do justify the means.
  8. She was experimenting in the CR at that time, right? wasn't that when she learned how to form stuff out of beads?
  9. just want to say, not an approved method of making money. not effective, either.
  10. Good and Evil do not necessarily show what kind of morals the person has. Not saying Hitler had acceptable morals, but as is pointed out, no one is entirely evil or perfectly good. Morality is hard to pin down based on actions alone. When we get the character's thoughts, then we can decide their motives and morals easier.
  11. Well, here are a few WoBs and then I'll share my stance: Well, I don't think that Mistings can be made Lifeless. Yes, I know that that WoB is asking if they can use allomacy, but I think that you can only make lifeless from people from Nalthis into awakened by giving them part of their sould back. I don't think that Breaths are just generic soul: you would have to do a weird hack to do that.
  12. But new thread...
  13. Here he goes again!
  14. Probably. RaFO!
  15. Well, Living Shardplate is much different than dead. Some orders could work through their shardplate (i think something like Lightweavers)

  17. I that that Odium might have been scared of an Ascended Dalinar and Cultivation, especially if Dalinar had been using NB. (yes, this could very well kill Dalinar, but what is worth possibly getting Odium Gone.)
  18. For any Pokemon fans, the Stormfather's type is "Unique"
  19. Here:
  20. I had to rethink this, but I don't think that NB is solid Investiture other than the fact that he is Awakened. He eats up the Investiture and starts the process of making a weird cycle of it back into Investiture. That being said, there had to be metal before he could be Awakened, so he is not fully Investiture.
  21. Oh. I've been working my way through the old shardcast and they only speculate that he consumed it. I'll work harder on that
  22. Wow. brandon tells us something in that WoB, but he also doesn't say that Hoid actually
  23. Just an on topic question: Aren't the other metals god-metal alloys? What bout the *original* 16? Iron is able to be used under the normal metals, right? They aren't alloys of Lerasium, right?
  24. a fair amount of time other places
