  1. *opens link, proceeds to freak out, brain.exe crashes*
  2. Maybe it's less direct lineage and more spiritual lineage? Err, not capital-S Spiritual, mind you, just that Kaladin is very honorable by nature, so maybe the Stormfather is just recognizing and acknowledging that, while using Child of Honor in a more general sense to refer to other people
  3. Hello and Merry Christmas! What's your favourite book?
  4. Dang it! I forgot about other astronomical bodies! Here, as requested: I wish for Freyr's Sword (basically a sword that gives you swordfighting skills)
  5. Granted, needless to say calamitous warring ensues, no need to tack on a Bane on this hot mess! I wish for Baldr's blessing, that is nothing on Earth will hurt me, but including mistletoe! Edit: here's a link explaining Baldr https://mythology.wikia.org/wiki/Baldr
  6. I should point out that neither of the two pictures were drawn by me, for the first, credit goes to our very own FelCandy* & the second is sourced from here: https://mobile.twitter.com/ralfmelevo6/status/1039662720491171840 *Here's a link to more of her art: https://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/74435-fels-sketchbook-spoilers/
  7. I have used your art to successfully convert Moash haters; soon all will be converted! Mwahahahahaha!
  8. Did someone ask for sexy Moash?
  9. Okay, now I like the new version better, much better
  10. Maybe update this topic to predict the Darkside GNs? Things I saw coming (I had not read the prose version) was Khriss' inability to Master and Kenton's one ribbon versatility netting him a win. Truthfully, White Sand 2's Trell was the spit-take moment for me and nothing here topped it, but part 3's still my favourite and I preferred it's handling of the story better than the same in the prose version (though for parts 1 & 2, I preferred the corresponding section of the story in prose)
  11. If you had to kill a Cosmere protagonist, who would you kill?
  12. Radiancy is more than just finding people with the right qualities, it's also about finding people who might need saving, like Teft or Venli, remember that the spren are also sapient beings who are not just mechanically looking for the perfect Radiant (though some of them do have certain systems in place for Bonding). So much also depends on perception, there could be crazy Radiants who interpret the Oaths in a very weird way and the powers would still work. The Ideals of the Lightweavers is really well represented by the names of their Surges: Illumination & Transformation. They illuminate people to their better selves, provide a sort of spiritual sustenance to help transform them to be better versions of themselves. Shallan did help her family in this respect, as noted by her brothers, with her joking and general happiness, same with Tien. And apparently her family was affected by an Unmade. Nope, corrupted Investiture is red but not everything that is red is corrupted Investiture. All magics on Sel are region-locked. Their Shards are locked in the Cognitive Realm so none of the magics work off-world... yet. (There are always hacks) Shai would need to know a lot of the Recreance and of the spren, as well as a lot of Investiture to do anything close to that. Even then, it might not take. What Chromium does is still not really known, do they burn off the Connection? the Investiture? the metals themselves? Besides, it might end up harming the spren more if it does either of the two former options and nothing for the latter
  13. Well, since the magic from Aether is so important, the eponymous Aether of Night would have to be the first thing, as currently it's been cannibalized for Re-Shephir's Midnight Essence
  14. Hello So, least favourite character?
  15. You are a German Shepherd Edit: like the dog, not a German person who's a shepherd
  16. Elendel Basin
  17. Perhaps the source of the mysterious warmth in Dalinar's vision?
  18. Hello @Elric welcome to the Shard! Glad to see you're enjoying the book. How are you liking the story so far?
  19. Started with Mistborn: The Final Empire, recommended alongside Sabriel
  20. "was"? The Final Empire
  21. Good catch on Felt being born in Era 1 Scadrial, I had missed that! Third son of a minor noble, he probably got involved in the inter-Shardworld trade given his focus on intelligence gathering and then became a Worldhopper
  22. A strange tinfoil theory that actually kind of holds but also raises a lot of questions. I should point out though, they're Iiarians with a capital 'i', not an 'L'
  23. Feruchemist: excellent day to day applications! Relatively fewer existential questions than with Forgery! Would you rather give up your sense of sight (even all visual memories will leave you) in exchange for learning magic or keep your sense of sight and live in the mundane world?
