  1. TLR has survived explosions, as well as decapitation, being set on fire, etc before, plus Bindpoints are a Hemalurgic thing. Being Fullborn means they have access to Compounding, so they'd most likely survive.
  2. It's in the novella Edgedancer, it should also be mentioned on Coppermind. I recall him even giving the names of a few types of chairs.
  3. I don't think so. He did mention his splendid collection of chairs afterwards.
  4. How about a Steel Inquisitor (with full view of the spikes) then or perhaps a Mistwraith? Or both! They both look very cool, imo Do post a pic of the tattoo afterwards!
  5. "Granted", The Nightwatcher hands over a pair of metal bracers to you. "Well, try them!", she urges you on. So you do, you start storing your motivation in them. For a second, you were afraid that you'll lose the motivation to keep storing motivation, but it came to you as easy as breathing. So you stored and stored and stored. You decided to stop but couldn't seem to complete the thought. You didn't have the motivation to stop. Somewhere deep inside, a part of you was panicking but couldn't find the motivation to wonder why. The thought bubbled up in your mind to take off and throw the bracers away but you couldn't find the motivation to move a muscle. So you stood there and continued storing motivation. I wish for the ability of precise hemokinesis (telekinetic manipulation of blood) Mwahahahahaha!
  6. Uh... A Fullborn with any kind of preparation is someone who can probably really only be stopped by Investiture hacking or dumb luck or divine intervention. An Elantrian in Elantris or the Heralds should probably be able to fight them but we know so little about their full capabilities that it's difficult to imagine a battle scenario.
  7. Welcome back, brightness
  8. That's a nice username you got there

  9. Can you magic up some pizza for me, please?

  10. Ooh, the Hounds of Tindalos, nice!
  11. Hmm, maybe we'll finally find out Pattern's real name? Learning Rock's real name, Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor, was fun. Pattern said it's a string of numbers but it's not like it could be like the value of π, right?
  12. The process might also be simpler/less Investiture intensive for Cognitive entities. Cultivationspren apparently manifest a lot of souls of inanimate objects as their version of 'gardening', as we are told by both Wyndle and the Honorspren abroad the Honor's Path. It might also simply be due to different Shardworlds, different Shards who've Invested in that Shardworld, different forms of Investiture on the Shardworld or even how Investiture saturated they are, or distance between the manifestation & the original object, or all of the above. Besides, have we actually seen humans manifest a soul in the Cognitive in the same manner? Shallan created replicas of objects in the Physical made of the beads of the Rosharan subastral's (in)version of land, which judging by the fact that Jasnah also used the same method, is probably something granted by the Surge of Transformation.
  13. Okay, that makes much more sense. ~Stormlight spoilers~ But let's not derail the thread You can DM me if you want to talk more about this, @Quantus
  14. Yes it is. It's a snippet from the graphic novel version, covering only the first chapter, iirc
  15. I'd suggest go for the Malatium symbol. It's one of the more beautiful & cool looking ones, has deep plot significance and to me, is also a good symbolism of what the internet likes to call 'sonder'
  16. Oh yeah, we've already seen Regrowth heal brain injuries and WoB that F-Gold can do that too. I don't know about Soulcasting,
  17. @Quantus, I completely forgot to factor in that he had to get reStamped and keep the plate close to him at all times. I assume he also wouldn't be able to or really shouldn't try to leave the Rose Empire given the situation with the Dor & resulting region-locked magics of Sel.
  18. I am going to start this topic with the most auspicious declaration of: Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! This is my FAVOURITE Cosmere work! *clears throat* now on with the actual topic. Wan ShaiLu, the Forger is arrested while attempting to steal a painting in the capital of the Rose Empire, where Hoid, disguised as the Fool, ensures her capture (while stealing the Moon Sceptre himself) so as to force her to fulfill the task that would be thrust upon her as a condition for her release. Which raises the question of why Hoid would consider this important enough to require his attention? Would a change of Emperors be so great a political upheaval? But much more interestingly, when Shai does successfully Forge a new soul for the Emperor, what exactly does the Emperor become? Does Ashravan qualify as a Cognitive Shadow? Or is the new Ashravan truly a new Ashravan? (which is kind of terrifying) When the injury rendered Ashravan in a vegetative state, was it more akin to gluing something broken back up together or perhaps more like patchwork stitching? ~Mistborn spoilers~ That is, was Ashravan still alive in a way in the Cognitive? Was his Identity damaged in some way? Did Shai just resurrect him? ~Warbreaker spoilers~ Did she just create a new Spiritweb or repair the original? Had the original Ashravan passed into the Beyond at this point? This WoB indicates that death in the Cosmere is a rather complicated affair: ~Mistborn & Warbreaker spoilers~ Brandon has made comparisons between these three situations before: What exactly is Ashravan now?
  19. Granted. You do get out of the bed the next day. You step out carefully, of course. One does not trust the monkey's paw that is The Nightwatcher. To your surprise the day went great. You weren't tired at all! In fact you had more energy than ever! Now that you thought about it you had the most restful sleep in a long time that night. Evening approaches, you go back home happy. Have a nice dinner, chat with some friends, do some RP, watch a few episodes of RWBY, feel sleepy. That night your bed swallows you. You did wish to be able to get out of bed for one day I wish for the ability to always have a little cash in my pockets
  20. I reckon everything's already compiled quite well in the Coppermind
  21. Are you sure they weren't just normal hungry? Sazed never mentioned any such effect
  22. Glitches in the Matrix Kandra pretending to be Stick, what has this world come to?
  23. What the hell? There is no correct way to handle this! I live in the tropics! I'll die either way! If the hate part was making them avoid me, I'd have taken it. *sigh* Life as an <insert animal name here> whisperer hobo begins! I wouldn't mind being able to befriend some tigers and snakes. As for the insects, guess I can be a discount Skitter (https://worm.fandom.com/wiki/Taylor_Hebert) Okay, would you rather have nine lives or the ability bring people really stinky bad luck? Be honest
  24. Hey there! Welcome to the Shard! Love that Kaladin art! More!
