  1. Granted! Your Boon: the Ring, your Bane: the Dark Lord Sauron, whose Eye is upon you I wish for the ability to see people's "stats"
  2. It does make sense that Navani & Gavilar's marriage was political, with what we see in OB flashbacks
  3. Okay, so Aluminium Mistings were the ones replaced during that time since this WoB is both newer & far more precise in it's wording, unless Brandon changes his mind again Lerasium Misting isn't really a thing, judging by it granting Allomancy only being a side-effect & it also being able to grant other magics if combined with other godmetals, what Lerasium does is more Cosmere wide then just being limited to specific functions in the Metallic Arts. The only function left to find with this in mind is Feruchemy. Burning grants/enhances Connection to Preservation, it allows one to steal all abilities but what does it store?
  4. getting warmer now..
  5. Might want to spoiler Mistborn talk, @Bearer of Agonies, @Renarin Kholin, it's the Stormlight forum
  6. I don't know, there could have been a version of AonDor before Devotion was killed. Agreed on the Seons being born during Odium killing Devotion: I do take issue with the phrasing "Seons of Elantris", why put it like that?
  7. 5) This place was breached/infiltrated
  8. Well, the 'why' could be because Elantrians are immortal so putting a limit on their population sounds quite reasonable. I wonder if such can be taken as indicative of intelligent design, i.e. that Elantrians were created/designed by Devotion rather than coming into existence after her death. The 'how' could be through two avenues: the city of Elantris and AonDor itself A.1) the limit could be coded into the city itself. There were other Aons hidden in the city. They might just be stylistic though A.2) Elantris wasn't coded with a set limit but the coding itself was limited in how many it could reach This doesn't seem likely however. Elantrians (for lack of a more accurate term) existed before Elantris. The city shouldn't be able to dictate to the Shaod who to initiate into the magic system B ) "Narrowed down" to the Investiture system itself. Which Hoid couldn't hack to make himself an Elantrian. Yeah. So, my theory is that the limit imposed on the number of AonDor users was put there by Devotion herself
  9. Agreed with @Llstml, @The Sovereign and @Quantus. The ability to Return people, as it is called in Nalthis, should not be a Nalthis only or Endowment only Investiture phenomena. It would have less to do with which Shard can do it and more to do with which Shard will find it counter to their Intent. Preservation for example, seems like such a thing fits with his Intent quite well
  10. That's true, the Misting sDNA is randomized but I meant that it's possible for Seers to still be born. It's not like only the people born during the end of the Final Empire could become Seers, once their Spiritweb was altered by Preservation to be able to burn Atium, the potential for other people to be born with the same capability should remain. The 16 metals thing was imposed by Preservation as a clue, there isn't an actual hard limit of only 16 metals being usable for the Metallic Arts, albeit there is a hard limit but it has less to do with the number itself and more to do with the fact that Preservation coded 16 metals to give power. The Cadmium or Bendalloy and Atium switch doesn't mean that there can't be any Seers post-Catacendre but the lack of Atium production means they'll probably never know what they are
  11. List of clues that have currently been disclosed: 1) This place is noted to have an excess of something that is relatively harder to come upon otherwise 2) This place is located a bit away from the action, so to speak, as remarked by in-book characters 3) This place is of a colour that makes it notable 4) A main character has been in this place
  12. No, no! It's not the God King's Palace
  13. Atium was switched with another temporal metal which was difficult to access/process, to keep the total count of metals to 16 Which I take to mean that Atium was only usable by full Mistborn (and Feruchemists) while the presence of Atium Mistings was due to Preservation's fiddling. That being said, I do agree that the sDNA from Atium Mistings (Seers), should still allow their descendants to burn the metal if they somehow gain access to it. Atium is no longer being produced post-Catacendre, neither is Lerasium.
  14. Good guess! But not what I am looking for
  15. Verdict: Kaladin wins
  16. I'm ready for Shai to appear sneaking up behind Hoid with a (Invested) cudgel
  17. You mean Aagal Uch, which is red in colour? But nope, neither of the two are correct, I'm afraid 4) A main character has been in this place
  18. Granted! The Nightwatcher lunges forward and stabs you with a lightsaber. You're very confused to still be alive. The Nightwatcher starts laughing uproariously upon seeing your expression. She puts the tip of her finger on top of the lightsaber and pushes it back in. It was a fake, a gag gift lightsaber. She flips you another one, you intended to catch it by the... but by the time you had caught it, that thought was left broken & unfinished. She had tossed you a real one. That you were about catch by the "pointy end". You gave the Nightwatcher the stink eye but she just smirked and pointed you towards a conjured doorway. You stepped through it back to... that wasn't Earth. Then you were wiped off existence. That was Alderaan. I wish for the ability to manipulate bone. Not mine but other people's
  19. Can we also have Allik for company?
