  1. Odium also appears to be able to manifest with the Highstorm, not just the Everstorm. Perpendicularities form naturally. A Shard's long-term presence on a world would automatically result in the power pooling and a hole through the three realms. Odium's been there long enough to form a Perpendicularity, I'd reckon
  2. It happens, man. Try taking the other one
  3. I don't know any of them aside from Brett. It was cool talking to you! Hope to see you around on the forums!
  4. I espouse the theory that Stone Shamanism comes from Ashyn refugees first settling in Roshar, on the soils of Shinovar, with the stone of the rest of the landmass belonging to the Dawnsingers that harboured them in their time of need. I don't think there's any strong link between Stone Shamanism and Singer / Listener burial practices
  5. Hello there, welcome to the Shard! Favourite Sanderson book?
  6. The man says "bro"
  7. Felt is a Scadrian Worldhopper on Roshar. He was a spy during era 1 on Scadrial and was with Dalinar during his journey to Nightwatcher's Valley. He told him that she didn't like outsiders
  8. It's a theory I've seen around due to Brandon's reluctance regarding Pali in later WoBs, but no confirmation
  9. Sweet 1) This character has made big sacrifices for someone
  10. And of course Nale, who has become a mockery of justice Yeah, we've noticed this parallel. It could mean very bad things with Vedel, who was a surgeon, some people have speculated that the assassin Liss may be Chana Battar is apparently Dova, an ardent within Taravangian's inner circle. Pailiah is supposedly in Kharbranth too, in the Palanaeum but we don't know much more than that
  11. @Callsign Radiant, absolutely agreed with all of that! Right now my biggest peeve is the fact that almost all gay literature by gay authors are coming-of-age stories, wish more fantasy and sci-fi with gay leads were written Do you have any favourite authors that you think are grossly underrated?
  12. So... I went ahead and asked. Half of them just shut their mouths, the other half said that keeping their jaws closed was weird and keeping their jaws relaxed but their lips closed was weirder... I dunno what to do with this information but now you know what I came to know The dog says bow-wow, the cat says meow, the cow does not say moo, no matter what the nursery rhymes say. It sounds more like *raspy inhale* followed immediately by baaaaaa!, some languages write it as humba, it looks weird when written but I agree with this far more than moo; the goat says meh-meh (trilling and dragging out the 'h', they most definitely do not say "ba"), so what does the fox say? well they laugh like a One Piece character, it does not sound pretty. Now, what does the man say?
  13. We don't know, we know that the Honorblades were part of the Oathpact but how the system works might not even be revealed till Taln & Ash's books come out, though one can hope for some tidbits in the next book since Jasnah caught them at the end of OB
  14. Welcome to the Shard! Who's your fav character?
  15. but smart ones do it too! There doesn't seem to be any situational reason for it, it's just their faces at rest, except with their mouths slightly open...
  16. The Shard? No. The Vessel on the other hand...
  17. It might have been because Vin was Preservation's champion
  18. A lot of guys seem to leave their mouths open, why?
  19. That would be a Cognitive aspect, not a spren As for the Everstorm, Syl & Pattern theorize that it might have a spren, Stormfather never confirms but he does call it his opposite.
  20. Syl and Pattern put forward their conjectures
  21. That seemed more like Hesina's philosophy than a proven fact. The Everstorm probably does have a spren though
  22. @Callsign Radiant, yeah I like reading way too much to be able to point towards a single book or author and say that's my favourite! Or even a bunch of them! I liked His Dark Materials too, haven't picked up Book of Dust yet though. I liked Cloud Atlas, Sleeping Gods, Perdido Station, Don't Let Him Know, Anything Could Happen are some books that are still fresh in my mind. Generally I like fantasy and historical fiction, occasionally go into sci-fi A more interesting question, who's a popular author/a popular book that you don't like?

I understand what you mean, but I wouldn't go with "no Shardic influence". As Sazed said, they all contained kernels of truth.
  24. I like your display picture
