I can see by the magic mechanics of the Cosmere why Gavilar still being alive in some manner might seem viable. It certainly is plausible in-world, we've already had Szeth come back from the dead. It's narratively a mixed bag though: it certainly makes the prologues more important, but on the other hand we've already had far too many resurrections already, with Szeth and Jasnah. Thematically, I don't think it's very likely. Gavilar's focus on his legacy and being snuffed out so swiftly without being able to see the things he wanted coming to fruition and being completely overshadowed by recent events just fit so much better.

You can also hide your topics: top of the page should show two bars: orange one "reply to this topic" and below that "moderation actions", click that and you'll see the option to hide. You can report a post to the moderators by clicking the little grey flag icon on their posts. You can choose to follow people or topics that you find interesting. For people, go to their profile, the leftmost blue button that has the facebook add friend icon. For topics, at the bottom of the page, there's a grey bar with the option to follow. You recall correctly. Yeah, Shallan's drawings do seem similar to that, they also have another Spiritual effect: they forge a Connection (which is how she created the mass illusion in Thaylenah and how she saw Yalb surviving the shipwreck)
