  1. Unfortunately not. We (the mods) have permission to share the doc with people who ask for it, but as the message you should've gotten when receiving the file and the introduction in the file itself say, Dragonsteel has not given permission for users to redistribute it themselves, which this would count as. Treamayne's post has some good resources if you want to make a converted copy for yourself, though.
  2. I've moved this to the Wind and Truth spoiler board since it mentions Book Five stuff.
  3. In Rlain's case specifically, it also doesn't really matter anymore (W&T 30): We haven't seen many listener couples, but we've seen several other singer couples outside mateform and they basically just adopt the standards of romance from wherever they grew up, so the listener differences seem more cultural than biological.
  4. In Chapter 112 (don't have the page number, sorry), Jasnah says that Odium will have to keep the peace for one thousand years: But that isn't actually part of the contract in Rhythm of War (also Chapter 112). It's suggested that Odium leave for that long, but ultimately gets turned down in favor of a permanent solution: And the final terms include no time restriction:
  5. A god of the Sea would make sense, it or the Day are pretty much the only things left on the same level as the Stone, the Wind, and the Night to be a fourth god. The Horneater stories are a good point in favor of the Sea, though chapter 43 might instead suggest the Day was once worshiped (curiously also references trees again):
  6. Wholeheartedly agree with all the above. I also wonder if Dalinar knew about this, given he sends Honor's power to Taravangian to learn and at the end of the scene it acknowledges he was right.
  7. Post Wind and Truth typos here!
  8. Post your full book reactions for Wind and Truth here. To talk about content from other books than this one in this forum (since Cosmere spoilers are not automatically allowed), you must use spoiler tags. Please use the Cosmere board if you've read all/most of the Cosmere!
  9. Post your full book reactions for Wind and Truth here. Full Cosmere spoilers are allowed untagged in this board!
  10. I think it's plausible they do, actually. All the Fused powers are very internally-directed compared to the Radiants (they can use Surges externally but rarely do)—the Magnified Ones grow their own carapace, the Deepest Ones meld their own axi with nearby stone, the Heavenly Ones almost never Lash anything else, Raboniel only Soulcasts her own breath or weapons stabbed into her, etc. So the Division Fused would most likely be using it on themselves as well, and fire seems like the most useful thing to do there. Probably their carapace would be specially designed to protect them. Normal singer eyes appear black unless you look closely under the right light. Also, in the reveal scene Shallan adds one key line that isn't included in the original epigraph for some reason which seems preeeeetty singery: That said, I have no explanation for this one, you're right that it makes no sense to refer to the Fused burning on Braize. So I think your theory is plausible, I just don't think the other quotes are about it. That doesn't match with what Brandon's said about Death Rattles imo:
  11. Death Rattles "are not always exclusively about the future, but they are not generally going to be about the past either".
  12. No, Autonomy likes people like Wax who go against her and is known for rewarding people who disobey her instructions as long as they do well.
  13. Moved this to the Cytoverse forum, "Introduce Yourself" is meant for personal introductions.
  14. That's a cool connection, but Brandon's confirmed his old title is the one they gave to Moash: Though to be fair there's a lot of interesting parallels there too. El is a singer who admires humans, Moash is a human who admires singers. El lost his Rhythms, Moash is beginning to identify the Rhythms. El admires the strength of emotion, Moash hates its variability. Even Moash permakilling Jezrien (an immortal fellow human) could be said to be paralleled by El permakilling Lezian (an immortal fellow singer), who has an oddly similar name (I don't think there's any lore significance to their names, it's just funny).
  15. Brandon confirmed the interpretation of that line:
  16. Having read The Way of Kings Prime, I have no idea what he meant lol.
  17. The town is in a lait, so it's protected from the storms. What he remarks on is that wood is normally reserved for the wealthy nowadays but in the vision it's common and the wealthy house uses crem bricks, which is interesting to call out but I don't think says anything about the storm. To the contrary, the town being built in a lait and house using crem suggests the storm was around. Do you remember more specifically what he said/where he said it? It's mentioned to be in Natantan, which is the kingdom the Shattered Plains used to be capital of. So yeah same general region as Alethkar. A loooot of life on Roshar depends on the storms, though. Many animals need it to pupate and singers need it to change forms, the plants are evolved to hide when it comes, spren rejuvenate themselves, the continent itself needs crem to counteract erosion. And that presumably was around before the Ashynite arrival, because if evolution was sped up so much that all of this sprang up in the past seven thousand years then Ashynite plants/animals should have adapted too but they didn't.
  18. The kandra are too new, El would've been around in the Desolations that ran from 7500 years ago to 4500 years ago but the kandra were created less than 1500 years ago. El's a weird guy, but that's probably not the reason.
  19. It's likely he was bonded before the Stormfather began making Bondsmiths, since the orders of Radiants didn't exist at the time of the first vision but Urithiru was around by the time of his death and the Sibling says when they were made Bondsmiths bonded the forces directly. It's not absolutely certain, though.
  20. We know that most of the non-sapient spren predate the Shattering, but otherwise I broadly agree with this, it makes good sense with what little we know so far. I'm less sure on the future predictions, but I don't really have any strong competitor theories, I just have very few specific expectations for the future in general.
  21. The idea of leaving also seems to be a theme building in general: Dalinar is considering abdicating the Shard (as you say) Kaladin likely isn't coming back The Iriali dip out in Dyel's interlude Sigzil presumably gives up his oaths The Wind vanishes The Heralds vanish Spren potentially become less common Hoid almost certainly learns how to get offworld and other Radiants potentially do too We'll learn the last secrets of the Recreance Epigraphs It's fascinating to me that this is happening in the Skybreaker book given Nale is the one to command the right of travel... Perhaps the Skybreakers include a sort of "social contract"-inspired dichotomy regarding the law in the same way the Willshapers both tear down and build up?
  22. That was millennia after Nohadon lived, he was approximately around the time of the founding of the Knights while Honor started changing in their final days. That, on the other hand, was centuries before he likely lived, with the switch taking place during the first war Desolations before the Radiants began. Honor's madness near the time of the Recreance is mentioned by the Sibling and alluded to in the gemstone archive.
  23. Personally I don't think Sja-anat's line is literal on her part either way, just that it could be Brandon winking at the screen in the way he's known to do.
  24. That's fair. I don't think I understand what you're proposing here. Normal people didn't, but I'd be surprised if the Shards had no idea. Even the Sibling mentions a difference in the Wind now compared to when they were young. The Stone at least wanted a "legacy", it wasn't something the Shards imposed (we don't know either way about the Wind). Why make a replacement if she's still around? Easy for Hoid is somewhat different from the normal definition of the word I wouldn't say Felt cares about blending in, he jokes about being "more foreign" than Dalinar and Shallan susses out his worldhopper nature fairly quickly. He's "heavily implied" (his own words) that Nalthians were worldhopping millennia ago, early enough to have reached Sel pre-Dor: And that Roshar's pre-Shattering age is part of why there's so many worldhoppers there, implying the networks have been growing for a while: I do think it's plausible there's a connection there of some kind, though I'm uncertain on the details. Fair enough! I do think it's worth considering even though I have reservations. Worth noting that Nightblood is "significantly linked" to the nightmares and Midnight Essence: Specifically, the mechanic has to do with something trying to become self-aware but being held back:
  25. Solid form is more resilient:
