  1. Well, she doesn't. I wouldn't call anything Leshwi does for Kaladin care. She has a level of basic decency and doesn't like slaughter, and she's very interested in Kaladin's spren. There isn't any level of particular interest in him however. One of, but not the only. The Heralds died fewer times than any of the Fused, but they're also crazy. I feel like there was also a quote from somewhere about the most violent Fused being the ones to stay sane, but I can't find it right now, so I could just be delusional. There are only a few thousand Fused, by the time of the Night of Sorrows there are maybe 3,000 total sane fused.
  2. This is probably the funniest ranking I have ever seen
  3. It would still be a good idea to look into it, because if you are in a one party consent state you could record in person conversations as well, though remember that you have to participate in the conversation of any such recordings, or get the consent of someone who does. So if a conversation becomes overly threatening towards you or your Siblings you could record that. I'll think more about it, and see if I can't find some other way to help. While I don't work for the legal system I have contacts I could speak to for more information. Until then, please take extreme care.
  4. ... Could you theoretically get your parents to confess during a call? If so check if your state has one party consent laws, which would allow you to record any calls and have them submitted as evidence. Here's a listing by State
  5. Glass---can I call you glass?---I think you need to take some actions. I'm not a lawyer, but my recommendation to you is to go to the police station or courthouse nearest to you. Barring that you can call the police non-emergency number. You're going to want to create a report detailing any and all incidents with as much information as you can: dates, times, locations, photos, eyewitness testimony, anything. Additionally, you will want a form of communication with them, allowing you to report any future incidents as soon as they occur. You may wish to discuss with the police the possibility of getting in contact directly with CPS as they specialize in these situations. I generally recommend against them as they tend to assume guilt rather than innocence, however if you are fearing for your physical wellbeing, or that of any siblings you have I think it might be time for them to get involved.
  6. I read that as migraine the first time and was really confused. um, yeah that's an issue.
  7. I think you have a problem

Over one tenth of all TLT posts are yours.

That's 490 something pages of just your posts.

Honestly, I have to respect that dedication.

      HELP?  NAMELESS WHAT THE HELL

I wonder how many i have now?

  8. *Slowly turns head* No. Two people who don't hate each other with all of their guts are not by default automatically romantically interested.
  9. There would have to be some serious misconduct for that. Assuming it is that bad, call the police.
  10. I do not condone patricide.
  11. ... What? I mean, Fused must have betrayed Odium in the past given the Rhythm of execution and all, but for this reason? I feel this was done to appeal to some RPG fandoms by someone who either disregards or doesn't know the lore.
  12. Excellent, this will make a fine addition to my collection
  13. It's really cheap Diesel + Styrofoam = Napalm
  14. Do they have napalm in them?
  15. I couldn't find any better place to put this, but I found a news update a while ago about someone translating the Interactive map and timeline for Roshar into Turkish. Is there a place where we can work on other translations? I say that because I'd like to offer to make a Portuguese translation and I wanted to know where I could go to work on that.
  16. I currently only have Portuguese versions for the SA, but if I get some more books later I would be more than happy to help.
  17. If you had to rank every Cosmere book out of 100 how would you do it? Here's mine
  18. That's amazing. You should probably check out the Interactive map and timeline for Roshar, but this is really cool, and a step in the right direction for us. I highly recommend against using AI for the translations, because each of the books create a lot of their own words, and each translator does it pretty differently. For example in Portuguese Dustrbringer would be Trazedor de po, but the Portuguese translation calls the Pulverizadores. There's an entire thread from way back when about the odd translations they use for the books in other languages.
  19. That's actually really interesting. I had always wondered about why the Sibling was so insistent about Raboniel having Transformation being important. Solid theory.
  20. I would like to congratulate the USA for their 60th Football world Championship in a row.

Really, other countries need to get their game together.

On a side note, I'm interested to see how good other countries will be at football in the Olympics (even if it's only flag instead of tackle). It's obviously going to be very different (not tackle, 5v5 (I think), etc.)

  21. Hey Invocation: how is this going?

    1. Myst

      Myst

I want to hear about this too, I was reading through the thread and it sounds really interesting. Not sure if I’d give up Dnd Warlocks for it but it’s really cool.

    2. Invocation

      Invocation

Hey! Forgot I'd made a post about that on here. The best way to say it would be that it's temporarily on a hiatus. I worked myself into a corner and will need to go back and redo a lot of the foundations I had laid out to make it actually workable. In the meantime I've been sampling from a bunch of other systems to try to see how they patch that kind of gap, so there's some ideas percolating.

Once I've got some breathing room with my other projects it'll make a reappearance! Glad to hear you're still interested in it though; I'll be sure to update the thread when I can get back to it.

@Mistfallen Soldier glad to hear you're interested too! Competing with established classes and systems like warlocks and D&D as a whole is a major consideration, but I'm hoping I can make the spell customizations interesting enough that it acts as something of a draw even for people trying to recreate those types of classes and interactions.

(The fact that it's been three years since I made that thread makes me feel like I'm crumbling to dust by the way. I hate time.)

  22. We aren't in the book discussions, we can't have spoilers outside of boxes here
  23. Well Maybe the prose unto itself, but the dialogue is so unimaginably terrible I can't stand it. Well in the best works I'd put: WoK, HoA, WoR, and maybe OB. Of which with the exception of OB all were written over ten years ago. Now FoD is looking like it could be another entry in here, but I'll keep my expectations modest
  24. As I said my thoughts have changed. I've honestly come to consider TSM as a really long WoB and not a book in it's own right, as without the excitement that comes from the Cosmere lore I wouldn't like the story. I also do not mind soft-magic, but I can't stand inconsistent magic. It could be a preference thing, that's true. Elantris is not the best book ever no, but on characterization I find Raoden and Sarene to be better handled than Marasi was in TLM, or Navani in RoW and WaT. WaT was one of the first Cosmere books to have irreconcilable plot holes, and the writing unto itself was worse in WaT than Elantris. I'd consider them very comparable. I still think AoL is the worst cosmere book, but WaT and TSM are up there. Personally I consider Shakespeare to be a terrible writer but I digress. I didn't say he was bad, I'm still a fan after all. I said he's getting worse.
