  1. Huh, this might actually get me past my dislike of apple. Well, not likely. I'm not too optimistic, but I'll keep an eye on it.
  2. I just find the really fancy chocolate milks at gas stations or convenience stores and look at the ingredients list. You might be able to find it online, I have not tried. It is really good.
  3. The answer is clearly potatoes. Entire civilizations have survived primarily on potatoes. The only other foods that can even come close to that are wheat, rice and corn. That's what you're comparing a tortilla to. You can make breads with potatoes, fries with potatoes, chips with potatoes, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, you can even make chocolate milk with potatoes(which is delicious btw). There really is no comparing the two.
  4. Yeah that's terrifying.
  5. #1 Taln fan with an anime girl pfp
  6. Well I personally feel like most of it was plot armor, because while Mistborn can move fast we can shoot moving vehicles, which I consider to be faster. And certain events like the fight in the warehouse in BoM should have gotten Wax killed That's certainly a step in the right direction, though personally if I were a Mistborn in that situation I think I'd be better used for special operations and not battle. There appears to be some miscommunication. If you had said primer cubes I would have known what you were talking about, I thought you meant bombs. Primer cubes, um sure we could use those.
  7. That's how I read it anyway, depends on if Brandon is saying splicing just as a word or if he means the actual process of DNA splicing
  8. I don't necessarily consider the guide to the scriptures as doctrine, just a study guide. While I personally do believe it to be a star, or a star-like body that's not necessarily the only interpretation. Anyway I think we're getting slightly off topic, so I'll ask another question. We know that hemalurgy does not on it's own allow sDNA given by hemalurgy to be passed on, what if we used allomancy to splice the sDNA with our own.
  9. It is "Nearest unto the throne of God," and governs the celestial bodies "Of the same order as [earth]." Whether that makes it a star, or a planet, or only a symbol of Jesus Christ is all up in the air.
  10. I had a companion on my mission who got sick and couldn't leave the apartment. Let's just say that there are some very interesting rabbit holes you can go down on Gospel Library if you're bored enough.
  11. It's based on doctrine. Your Physical and Spiritual DNA https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/new-era/2019/08/your-physical-and-spiritual-dna?lang=eng
  12. Well Harmonium would be useable, they have lots of it. Though I'd probably just stick to dynamite. I suppose that's a possibility, but I must disagree. While duralumin can do incredible things I don't think it would make quite that much of a difference, because while yes the protagonists are not using armor the plot serves as a far greater protection than steel ever could. Imagine the fight at the start of WoA if Cett had sent two or three more normal people with stone tipped arrows. I don't think Vin makes it out of that one.
  13. And you can fault her for it, as do I. But Jasnah as an individual, or even Alethkar as a whole is only one member of the coalition. What did Azimir do to Fen? What did Herdaz or Urithiru do?
  14. Wasn't Theylenah saved in Oathbringer because of them? Didn't Dalinar rebuild the city, and Renarin heal its people? Didn't Adolin bring down the thunderclast and the armies of Urithiru save the city? Didn't they commit large forces to protect Theylenah in WaT? They very much did honor their obligations to Fen and her kingdom.
  15. Kelsier was given something similar to Allomancy while a CS directly from Preservation, and then held the Shard itself a little later. And I don't think that 1 is necessary, there was no agreement between Wind and Retribution, but it worked all the same.
  16. They were already an alliance. Theylanah was one of the first members
  17. Well you're asking a question that philosophers and theologians have spent all of recorded history debating. I'll be frank, I've asked many of the same questions, and I have no answer. I don't know.
  18. Wax had a small bit of lerasium, that's what increases the chances, not his spikes.
  19. Ah, and now we get to the heart of the issue: Why does God care about us? Well, we believe that the scriptures speaking of man as the offspring of God, and receiving all that He has are to be taken literally. That we through our obedience may become a god in our own right. EDIT: for those curious the Church has an essay on the topic, and I am of course open to talking more about it. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/gospel-topics-essays/becoming-like-god?lang=eng
  20. She couldn't burn the air itself, but she could use sawdust or other things to burn him at a distance, and if you touch the ground you can burn stuff from quite far away. It wasn't Ashyn that had problems with microkenisis, that was Yolen. Ashyn had issues because of Dawnshards.
  21. How would you learn about Kharbranth?
  22. It is important don't get me wrong, but in relation to Chaos's question: Why sin exists and why a mortal probation is necessary and we can't simply be created as perfect beings inhabiting heaven? It doesn't really change too much.
  23. The debate between Taravangian and Jasnah is one of the more controversial parts of WaT. In this thread I don't necessarily want to ask what you thought of the debate(though you may if you want), instead my question is: If you were Fen, would you have join3d Odium?
