There is a WoB heavily implying that oathbreaker Radiants can continue to use their surges if they have the blades. Now it's possible that means actively summoning, os something along those lines. I don't know. I would say the deadblades would work like odd Honorblades but a little weaker personally.

To be fair it was Kaladin who(unintentionally) talked him into suicide to begin with. And @Aliroz-The-Confused how does Szeth saying he is releasing 12124 because they don't fit together and his desire to find the Slybreaker dissenters and join them shape your feelings? -

He's not dead, and I don't know that he's abandoned absolutism so much as decided that he's done being a pawn for other people. I would be very sad if he didn't retain at least some of that fire we saw in him the prologues. That drive to do what he felt was right regardless of the cost is what makes him an interesting character.

Our relationship with Augustine is... complicated to say the least. While I like some of his ideas on Morality, we reject a lot of his ideas on Predestination, the Resurrection, and the Physical body. Well it's more about the mechanics of addiction than drug use. I don't know if they get to it in that video specifically but they go over pornography and other non-drug addictive behaviors in other videos in the collection. Yeah, I love the Church with all my heart, but the IT department leaves much to be desired. ... I really shouldn't be surprised, but that just rubs me all the wrong ways. Just... *Shudders*

Wind and Truth is out of it's spoiler period, and this is the SA forum, you can talk about it openly. Honor didn't just restrict Adhesion, he bound bondsmithing in particular. I'd say that Windrunners might be affected, but I doubt they will have any huge impacts on their abilities -
I never meant to imply anything along those lines. I don't think morality is something someone can choose to participate in, we are all bound to it, willingly or not. I just have yet to encounter a non-religious moral framework I can agree with. I'll kind of put this together with the next thought here because I find them related My question is if emotion is what makes life have meaning why not fake it? Would it be the morally right thing to put electrodes in people's heads that make them constantly feel happy and satisfied? If so you're welcome to that opinion, if not I'd like to hear why. While I can see where you're coming from, I personally see it as our understanding, and not the system as being flawed. Kind of like geocentrism, the solar system is real, but the geocentric understanding of it was based on incomplete data. I don't think that any particular religion, or religious individual is perfect. I rather believe that the purpose of religion is to give us an ideal of perfection to strive to become. I think I've heard of that as Existentialism.. Well I can't answer for certain as I don't know everything about chemistry, let alone souls. I'd say it probably would be pretty easy as they would only be able to react, and not take action for themselves, but I've never had any experience with such a thing, so I have no idea.

Honestly the problem wasn't Lezian it was Kaladin's own plot armor. If he could have actually done damage to Kaladin he would have stuck around: See Moash and Taravangian, the only villains to actually hurt the heroes being the only ones still standing.

My question then becomes: how do you justify acting against someone else, or saying that your system of morality is superior(or at least of a higher priority) than theirs? Yeah that's generally the point I get to trying to think through these ideas where I have to say I don't get it. I couldn't live with myself if my only objective or determiner of morality is just what brings me the most comfort. Not trying to cause offense, just to explain my thoughts

So I have a question for any atheists out there: What are your philosophies? I've personally always taken religion as the necessary answer: to why we live, why we want to be good people, for our desire to continue living. I've tried on a number of occasion and I actually cannot find any philosophy I find to be both compatible with atheism and internally consistent other than Nihilism. Some have tried explaining it with love or other feelings, but without a soul all emotions are is just a concentration of hormones at a particular point in space-time. It's a thought process that leads me to... dark places I don't like.

I actually changed my username from Booknerd to Frustration because of that exact emotion. Please don't put that idea in his head, I live off of those. I know the pain all too well. You're beyond chill with me. Why thank you, I kind of built a name here off of it. As for why: See the linked thread above. That day scarred me, and I decided to never be caught off guard by a WoB ever again.

I'm curious. Do you have a WoB for burning metals while tapping steel making the metals burn quicker from your perspective? Tapping F-steel makes your own perspective speed up, so from your own perspective the metals burn just as fast and are just as strong.
