Has anybody thought what happen to Chaser
Friendshipspren replied to SzethIsBadAsHell's topic in Cytoverse
@The traveller. In DE , Jason mentions that all FTL communication in the entire solar system is done by only one guy. It's this cytonic guy who facilatates the FTL comms and computers which reroute it. Millions of different FTL comm lines rely on the brainpower of just one guy. I imagine it's the same for the krell or for the entire superiority. Maybe there's only a dozen or maybe even just one or two cytonics who provide the connections to the nowhere and computers which reroute it into millions or billions of lines throughout the Galaxy. -
Has anybody thought what happen to Chaser

I don't know , i think maybe it was the delvers. Now we know delvers hate all organic beings. We have seen them almost hijack spensa's mind. It's possible this happened to chaser. Maybe mbot wasn't actually protecting spensa from the krell but from the nowhere. Chaser goes outside the debris fields which I believe were constructed specifically to hide from delvers. They failed and are mostly dysfunctional now but still probably provided some protection. Remember the shields weren't designed to suppress cytonics but to protect from delver attention. This failed since delvers could hear radio signals as well when they entered our realm but I think the shields did work to deflect delver attention with respect to FTL comms and cytonics. They are a wreck now so aren't that effective . Hence both spensa and chaser could still see the eyes. Also note that chaser was an untrained cytonic. Gran Gran has some idea but still it is very little. Spen has more luck since Gran Gran was able to use chaser as a test and get the wrong strategies booted So chaser goes out , gets viciously mindbent with delver hatred , still has his human memories , realizes the krell are drones and that live humans are below. And goes on a murder spree. That would explain the viciousness with which he said he said the words " hate you " and why he was unresponsive to Cobb's pleas. Or maybe the delver was the same one which had first destroyed detritus and hence it focused on detritus again. I'm seriously beginning to doubt the krell had anything to do with it. They have cytonic suppression devices but nothing else. I doubt even Brade would be able to rattle chaser to that extent. No I think it was the delvers. I think both the debris field and mbot have tech that can at least partially shield you from delver emotional allomancy. Mbot didn't even remember doomslug was the cytonic hyperdrive and that's a glaring oversight.... so well maybe he mistook the delver attacks for krell attacks and almost belatedly realized he could shield spen but didn't remember against what exactly. It's also possible that chaser was a far more powerful cytonic than spen. Like now in mistborn, allomancy gets weaker with each generation. Similarly cytonic abilities might be affected too. Spensa's mom wasn't a cytonic. Maybe Gran Gran's husband wasn't cyto either. We basically know that cytonics is genetic. The engine ppl kept to themselves and interbred among themselves to keep the cytonic genes strong I guess. Besides He was using cytonic abilities far more than spen did without mbots shielding. Maybe this attracted the attention of a delver and his raw strength became a liability making him more vulnerable to the delvers hatred hijacking -

Vin dropping from the skylight and telling elend he reads too much at the end of TFE. That was so heartwarming. And this , Vin sounds so much like a cat here. Awww -
Odium . Ok hear me out. When odium first meets Dalinar in the vision , he likes pulls his tail saying , are you releasing me ? Then he's like don't worry. Intent is necessary. So I think what this means is that he needs some radiants to defeat. Maybe one from each order or so. So maybe he was influencing the ppl to spare kaladin . He does have some pull on emotion . So I could see him manipulating emotions to allow kaladin to live but murder everyone else cause well that's an odious act and his name is Odium. Or maybe like he wants to break kaladins honor and strength. Just killing isn't enough. He needs kaladins intent to be destroyed and the only way to do that is to make him fail repeatedly. I don't know how this would work with other charecters. You think about that

Mundane life is ok by me. I wouldn't give up reading for any magic system. If a magic system allows you to read even if you are blind then yeah . Hmm I wonder if being a double tin Savant would allow it. You could be blind but still manage to read from the difference in shades of light emitted by white and black pixels. Ok , would you rather be an aluminum compounder on Threnody ( with access to limitless amounts of aluminum and reasonable amounts of silver ) with a chance of creating a stable civilization on Hel. Or A Chromium compounder on a slave bridge team on Roshar with a chance of emancipation and maybe moving up the ranks or going traveling. -

Granted. But you are transported to a world where sentiant , sapiant, dexterous and mobile trees have a Christian civilization and use Christmas humans for decoration and aesthetic purposes. Whether you get out of it alive or not at all , depends on how long you can play dead. Regardless , even if you succeed in hoodwinking them , you will suffer major muscular atrophy. I wish for Soviet Roshar , complete with Taravangian as Premier and Szeth as the Winter soldier. Malaya is the black widow. NorthScadrial is America/Canada with Wax as captain America and Miles as Logan/wolverine, Vin is captain marvel. South Scadrial is Latin America , a pewter compounder is the hulk. Sel is the extremes of Eurasia , with the dula guy as John Constantine and Shai as overpowered Yukio . Threnody is mainland and maritime Southeast Asia with Raven and swamp thing and zatanna . Taldain is Africa with baon as black panther , Shuri is Khriss . FotS is Australasia ( blanking out on superheros, sorry ) India is Nalthis , Vivenna is Kamalla Khan , Egdli as Rama kushna. Middle East is Ashyn , black adam and doctor fate come to mind. Braize is Antarctica, it's got Lovecraftian/Parshendi ghosts. -
I think that really shows how trivial and worthless you will find mortal life is ,once you become immortal. In a way , I agree. Life isn't previous. Hell you can find billiions of us wandering around

I don't have ' a ' Perfect State . Rather I would like all perfect and imperfect states. In other words , I covet ALL EXPERIENCE. Every storming bit of it. I want to be Hitler and the millions he murdered. I want to be Gandhi and the millions he saved. I want to be Ati and kelsier. Hoid and Rayse I want to be Kaza and the Sleepless she encounters. I want to be Brandon Sanderson and the insect that's crawling near you. I want to be all life , in all locations and all times. Real or fictional , organic or synthetic. Simultaneously or in successive incarnations I WANT IT ALL. Tragic or comic , dream or nightmare . And everything within those definitions and without. And with luck maybe I'm already in it . Maybe we are all like that charecter from that short story " The Egg " by Andy Weir , with the exception of the " God being "maybe.

You don't have to ask. I think we are already in it ? Is it perfect ?? No. We were in a Perfect State ..... Until we got bored and wanted imperfection. That's why the Wode wiped out our memories ( with our consent ) and put us all in a normal early 20th century lifestyles world. Or Maybe I'm the Liveborn and you ppl are all machine born , all 7 billion of you. Although I think it's more likely that this world is shared by millions ,( maybe even billions ) of Liveborn And Sanderson is a machineborn designed and programmed to entertain us.

Ok so the answer is : Ta da da da puppy power The city of Eila in Iri. Which was possibly where the Eila Steele , which has been making huge waves in literary circles recently, was discovered. Which lies relatively near a large lake/ inland sea in Rira and right next to the Misted mountains. In the buffer zone between the extreme contrasts of the soil strewn lands of Shinovar and the stormscoured lands of True Roshar. * Bows Ok. I'm out. Who wants a go next ?
