  1. I feel braize might have developed technologically advanced Spren civilizations if honor and Odium hadn't stuffed it full of half mad Parshendi ghosts. Nalthis did have the many war but idk if that counts. On one hand , it was nothing compared to the Desolations or the war of Ash. On the other hand , awakening made things a lot worse than they had to be. The shards might completely ignore these worlds , thinking they can't achieve much without investivure. Or they might notice it , but be too trapped to leave thier systems ( odium, cultivation, harmony ) or might be too focused on other shards.( Harmony , endowment , the survival shard ) Or they are u know dead. Besides they might notice it later but by that time wars between the shards and shardworlds might occupy all thier attention. The shard I can think of interfering would be autonomy. She might already be doing that with FoTS. But she has left the other two planets untouched. Sure , I completely agree that they will eventually have to tap into realmatics. I just think before that they will explore avenues of science the Shardworlds might ignore. Robotics, nanotech , biotech , nukes , cybertech , etc . ( As a bonus , none of this tech will be affected by leeching or aluminium). This will give them an edge. Then they could just reverse engineer shardworld tech or maybe ally with a shardworld or learn from worldhoppers . Combine conventional science with realmatics to become stronger still.
  2. Or it could be in reference to the fact that ruin and preservation created humanity on Scadrial independently.
  3. Ok so I think I figured out how FTL travel would work via allomancy. Maybe someone else has already figured it out , so it's not novel but eh. Now I don't think it's actually travels faster than light. It might not even travel at light speed. At near light speed or maybe even half of light speed. So now we know that as a spacecraft reachs light speed. Time slows down for the person inside the craft. Hours for him would translate to centuries on the outside. This offers the problem. So suppose the craft creates an anchored bendalloy bubble . This bubble would slow down outside time to match the craft time and therefore negate the original time dilation. This could however lead to time moving very quickly within the craft and the person experiencing yrs of time go by. Not ideal . This is where cadmium comes into the picture. Suppose you had a smaller cadmium bubble in the cockpit to cancel out the bendalloy bubble . The bendalloy bubble would still work at the other parts of the craft. But the cockpit would experience normal time dilation. So the cockpit of the craft would experience a few hours or less , whereas the rest of the craft would experience yrs or centuries. Or alternatively , u could have a no of smaller bendalloy bubbles cover the craft sans the cockpit. I guess u could make the cockpit magnetically evitate or use A-Steel to make it levitate inside a chamber within the ship so that there is no wierd friction effects at the border of the time bubbles. This way , it would seem like instantaneous travel to both the traveller and the outside world. The journey would still be at near light speeds and take yrs ,decades or centuries objectively. But the time dilation would make it look instantaneous. It's near light travel transformed into faster than light via hacking time. So whatchu think ?
  4. Yeah. They were both created by adonalsium. Doesn't mean he independently created humans on Ashyn. They could have migrated there from Yolen pre or post Shattering. And yeah it's pure speculation. I don't have any evidence or text but seeing that capturing BAM didn't just deprive them of higher forms. It reduced them completely into slave form. Beyond even dullform. The Parshendi could access dullform , mateform , workform, nimbleform and warform. They escaped the fate of the rest of the parsh cause they declared themselves neutral. Now during adons time it's possible that everyone worshipped it as God and were connected with it . Maybe Adonalsium even designed them that way with intent or accident. Either way he created them and hence would probably be connected to them. Preservation getting splintered might have had a similar effect on Scadrial. Again pure speculation. But eh who knows.
  5. What about Aluminum ? Suppose the mistborn burns it , would it make him immune to soulcasting ? We already know it would negate the damage from threnodite withering. Also oh yeah I hadn't considered that anchored steel bubbles would counter F-speed. Noice. But I don't understand y u think ur run of the mill mistborn wouldn't be that skilled. In TFE, almost every mistborn was noble and deception was everything and so most nobles didn't practice much fearing spies who could report to other houses. Kelsier had an advantage in that he being a Mistborn himself would scout the surrounding to make sure it was safe for valette to train. Not to mention none of the houses even considered valette enough threat to waste spies on her. Kelsier also had training from another mistborn and Vin had Kelsier and the crew to train her. Elend had Vin to train him. We have all seen how much they progressed. Not to mention they didn't have access to 7 metals And the main reason the other mistborn were not so skilled was BECAUSE of the focus on atium which meant they neglected the other metals. What does it matter how good you are at emotional manipulation when your opponent could see ur every future move before even you did. In era 2 and 3 should a Mistborn appear , I'm sure he or she will become highly skilled in all metals. Will this person have other mistborn to train them ? I'm guessing no. But they don't have to worry about spies or house politics and are free. They will also have lots of mistings to train under. They could just claim to be a misting of one kind and learn and move on to being a misting of another kind. Emotional allomancy would be priced more since now you don't have to worry about house wars much and have to focus on peaceful negotiations more.
  6. Culture type thing ? What exactly does that mean and y couldn't the same happen to humans or other races. Ok true. Maybe adon just seeded different planets with intelligent almost humans still I believe it's a greater possiblity that all humans are descended from immigrants from Yolen. And well since Yolen was in a mediaval era at the time. I'm guessing the migrants were too. Wait , adon created Ashynites. I didn't know that. I thought Scadrial was the only anomaly in that respect and the rest of humanity were descended from Yolish ancestors. By 10,000 yrs of peace , I meant no extreme interventions by shards . No Desolations or rashek like Ascensions and no autonomy to enforce inter and intraplanetary isolation. Hell it seems autonomy and her avatars literally makes things as extreme as possible to enforce autonomy and survival of the fittest. And no , we don't have a migration story. It's possible adon first created humans in Yolen and then proceeded to crate them in other worlds. But still he would have created them and would be Connected to them. His Shattering would have had an effect on them , like the parshmen at the end of the false desolation.
  7. I meant peace with respect to shadic conflicts. Nothing like what happened on Sel or Scadrial. Yes , true . We don't really know what leads to tech progress and what doesn't. But that's I said there are dozens of planet with good environs. Surely one of them could be like us.
  8. Ooooo noice. Hon as in both Honorless or honey.
  9. I think this scenario is more likely. Now we know that bavadin has multiple personalities right. Have u seen the movie Split where one guy has 23 different personalities which have a agreement to gain complete control over the shared body for limited and equal amounts of time. So could it be that before the Shattering good hated bavadin but liked a few of her other personalities like Patji and atleast one more. Maybe they were even friends. But since then it has been a long time and they have drifted apart. Or maybe the Shardic intent was pressing on patji making him incapable of allying with hoid . Then new personalities might have spawned as well. So I don't think the avatars were ever physically or even spiritually independent from bavadin . Only cognitively and that too to a Limited degree.
  10. I think the Shattering had a deleterious effect on almost everyone in the Cosmere. Like in stormlight after BAM was captured by Melishi , it let to the Parshendi losing thier connection and identity. Both are intricate parts of the spiritweb from what spiritual feruchemy implies. So adonalsium getting murdered probably pushed everyone in the Cosmere into a similar state which they got over through Shardic intervention or by natural evolution. Khriss mentions that sel had a Stone age and human prehistory. That's strange considering they must have been descended from Yolish immigrants with medieval levels of society and tech . It would also explain why non Shardic planets are so backward even after experiencing 10000 yrs of peace without any Shardic conflicts. It took them that long to become normal again without Shardic intervention. The ppl involved in the plot to kill adon might have used something to shield them from it. Aluminum foil perhaps So I don't think hoid was affected much by it , but pretty much everyone else in the Cosmere was.
  11. damnation I got so psyched up when I read hoid had the honorblade along with the Cryptic. Too bad it's not true
  12. I think Adonalsiums investiture permeates the star cluster alone and any shard is bound to it , much like how some shards are bound to Roshar and SEL
  13. Wait kaza could see into the spiritual realm ? I thought she was just saying stuff to scare the guy trying to hit on her or something.
  14. So I read that skyward was originally meant to be Cosmere and it made me wonder , what about the non shardic planets ? Khriss says they can't be visited due to lack of perpendicularities and I guess they don't have any magic systems either. But they would be free of the chaos and conflicts shards bring. SEL, Scadrial, Threnody, Ashyn, braize and roshar have been ravaged by it. The worlds under autonomy or her avatars suffer from isolationism , I guess. Nalthis is the only Shardworld that hasn't seen major conflicts and even it is quite backward for some reason. We don't know enough about Yolen to speculate. So now the normal worlds , Hmm , they have had 10,000 yrs of peace ( by peace I mean lack of Shardic conflicts , not no normal wars ) and many have good climes . The Drominad system alone has 3 of them. There are dozens more. I believe not all of them are claimed by autonomy's avatars or the unknown Shards. So could one of the non Shardic worlds , develop space travel before or at the same time as the shard worlds. They could rely on normal technologies like ours instead of investivure based ones. It might even be an advantage. Like they could have nukes , lasers , nanites , chemical and biological weapons and stuff . At first they might depend completely on normal tech , then after contact with the shardworlds they could integrate investiture based tech into their conventional ones . The shardworlds might neglect to do that since they might think thier tech is superior to conventional ones and make a surprised Pikachu face when they are subjected to nuclear bombardment from orbit. Hell maybe they could even create strains of lethal disease resistant to investivure based healing after they learn about Realistic theory. Hmmmmm something to think of. But I guess without FTL , they won't go too far. Unless they steal or buy or reverse engineer Scadrial tech. There are dozens more. I wonder if any one of them could eventually rival a shardworld. Whatchu think ?
  15. Hmmm I never thought of that. But I think it would destroy them Like it's supposed to be a plasnw storm right and irl plasma storms vaporize things before they can even feel pain and maybe in the same way the second death is painless and stuff. But I wonder , if it's possible the did accepts someone , not by intent but by chance. I mean like in kelsiers case , there was only preservation and he had his permission. The dor is a volatile mixture of Dominion and devotion. Mindless and polarized. I think that means they hate each other much like ruin and preservation did. So I don't think every Soul would survive it , but a few unlucky ones , well I think they would be driven mad and violent and unstable . Hmm yeah I could totally see how the legends of svrakiss started from facts given by Elantrians or worldhoppers. So if this is correct , not only is sel's CR home to a plasma storm but also to mad, hyperinvested ghouls. Ooooooooo that place is dangerous as hell. Actually that place is literally hell. Even more than Threnody. damnation. Or maybe the svrakiss aren't evil at all Maybe they are just unfortunate souls living in great pain , unable to pass on. Much like the Shoad Elantrians. And they are unfairly demonized.
  16. The hideout of the thug Vin worked for before it was hit by the Inquisitor. Vin almost died there , kelsier and the Inquisitor attached it.
  17. Idk , maybe he scratched himself again. Or maybe his soul saw the scars as part of him , so when he injured his arms and healed back , the scars manifested
  18. Yeah so kelsier wouldn't actually be in symbiosis , he would have hijacked the host body right ?
  19. No , no I was actually referring to y fused can't make a sprenlike bond with the Parshendi instead of taking over completely.
  20. The warehouse where miles originally had his base setup.
  21. I'm thinking the God beyond is an invention of worldhoppers or ppl from Silverlight. They know about the Shattering and like Dalinar they might have trouble believinh a god that can be killed is an actual God. Hence they believe there is a super God whose realm extends far beyond the star cluster or more possibly into the Beyond. Whatever that is. Does this God exist or not ? I don't think Brandon will ever answer that question. That way religious ppl can believe there does and athiests like me can believe there isn't . I think the Beyond was once understood and was accessible by adonalsium but not anymore. I do believe other adonalsium like entities might exist in other star clusters but I don't think we will ever see them. It is said that in the SR all places are one , but I wonder if it's true only for the places where's Adonalsiums investiture permeates. The star cluster that is. In the far future , like millions or billions of years later , the star system might crash into a galaxy or something , but that's too far away in time for our events.
