game Would You Rather? -a Game
Friendshipspren replied to The Tenth Pancake's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Reshi islander. Hell yeah. Hanging out having fun with friends , nudity and I believe , sexual promiscuity. Count me in. Maybe not too many fellow bibliophiles but who knows maybe lots of those reshi are actually book addicts. Besides I can always leave for azir or Steen , babartharnam , etc. I would never go to a vorin kingdom tho , hell no. Reading is unmanly !!!!!!!, yep nope nuh uh not this kid. Besides I have Darkeyes and would probably end up enslaved anyway. Ok. Would u rather be Mistborn or a Surgebinder ? PS : Oooooo i have 256 posts. 16x 16. Leras would approve. -
damnation. Well it's the capital , Imperial Seat specifically. Your answer kinda overwhelms the third clue. But yeah you are mostly correct.

Nuh uh. 5). The ruler of this place is invested but not like how you would normally think .

The Errorgance of some people
Friendshipspren replied to Friendshipspren's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I get u dude. I read a lot of negative reviews on a lot of books i love. Sometimes it points me towards a lot of stuff like plotholes or other subtle things I missed . For example , I love the twilight saga. I read all these ghastly reviews on it and I realize most of them are true. Those reviews pointed me towards so many plotholes and other things like how Bella is a total b****$. I still like the books, even tho it does look ridiculous now. I even said I can understand ppl saying TFE is a generic good vs bad plot. It technically is if you exclude the two hard to see subtle deviations. Mistborn was basically designed keeping video game players in mind so I understand a lot of the time ppl might think it's too simple. What angers me is that it's clear the person hasn't read the book at all. Atleast not completely, for one example , his convinction that Alendi is tlr shows that. Yet he acts as if he has and goes on to say it was terrible in every way possible. I mean fine say the plot was too generic and that u stopped reading it halfway and move on . But he/she didn't do that . Ok fine atleast go look up the chapter or book summaries on some blog or the plot summary on Wikipedia. Did he do that ? No. Instead he writes that completely wrong review without mentioning he stopped halfway. I mean , Not one single point In it is true. Its not even hyperbole , not one point. There's a line bw an angry comment and construcive criticism . While i might have toed it , I'm sure I simply criticized his sloppy review constructively rather than simply lambast him as an idiot ( which he/she actually is , seeing that the review is still there unaltered while my comment countering it has been hidden. ) Also there's while we can ,should and do tolerate a diverse range of viewpoints. There are some that can't be tolerated. Like you have freedom of speech , doesn't mean you can go to some guy who you don't know and say " you are a failure and a dissappointment and it's a unalterable fact cause I think so ". It doesn't mean you have the right to go around spreading malicious ( an completely false ) rumors about someone . Which is exactly what this person is doing. Am I taking this personally ? Yes Should I take it personally ? No But Does that make what i said untrue ??- 17 replies

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Friendshipspren replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
When you hear the name Wayne and immediately think of our funny bendalloy burning bloodmaker and his friend Wax , instead of Batman. Happened to me a few weeks ago. -
Hey guys , now I know the value of criticism. I know that we all can't see eye to eye on everything but every now and then you stumble on somethings that are so ridiculously arrogant and errorgant that... Well I found this review on the final empire and I just..Huh you know what just read it and find out what I mean by clicking on the link. Try not to fantasize about punching this guy/gal , I challenge you I found this review and I'm astounded at how someone could possibly misunderstand a book to such a great extent . I mean seriously it's clear the person hasn't even read the book halfway . Then you have ppl I the comments dissing stormlight too. I thought I would share it so that we could all be united in cringing and blinking at the presumptuous and Errorgant assumptions and stupid misunderstandings. Maybe we can bash our heads too . That girl/boy said that the plot was a classic case of good vs evil. I mean she just completely ignored kelsiers grey actions . Half the reason Marsh exists is to point that out. He ignored and elend as well. But ok that was an understandable mistake but then she says hey Mr. Great author how come those ppl live in ash and don't have lung cancer ? Where are the dead seas ? It began to chafe at me and then he basically says and get this , that the author tries his best to make us believe Alendi and tlr are actually different ppl from the beginning !!!!! Seriously , who would ever think that. I and I'm sure all of us were sure Alendi was tlr , that the power had corrupted him. It just proves he/she didn't even read it until Vin finds alendis journal , forget the ending. She barely even mentions the magic systems . God she/he was so arrogant and presumptuous. She doesn't even understand Vin , I mean seriously ??? I left a very angry review pointing out it was obvious he hadn't even read half of the book and that all the plot holes are explained in detail in the third book. She just hid the comment. I mean just wow. Don't go around writing negative reviews unless you have actually finished reading a book. Also don't even bother thinking of reading a book if you are already obviously biased against it

Friends @Honorless, @FictionSpren, @greeny-231 @Ookla the Prolific we have all of us been betrayed. The person we believed was our good friend and the greatest defender against tyranny has turned out to be the Wyrn himself. @The traveller u are indeed quite evil to play with our bonds of friendship so. I swear by the 80 suns to bring you down. Beware , a dozen nations of the rose empire descend upon you alongside the Elantrians , with all our allies on and off world. This betrayal shall be avenged in fire , blood and bone. P,S : I think WorldBridgers is a good name for our group.

Idk Nicki's good too but as long as handerwyms notes are present i will read anything no matter how inane Jak writes
-
Ok . Hmmm , 1). This place is in a hilly area
-
U know when I first read allomancer Jak in AU , I thought he was a real adventurer and that he had rediscovered the atium mines and the pits of hathsin which was now called Eltania. Then I read it and it was well good. I was really surprised at the legend of the survivor and all but appreciated the glimpse into Koloss society but was still dissappointed. That was until I read handerwyms notes. I spent an hour laughing.
-
Yup barely sentiant in this case but they are sentiant. More so than thier ancestors from era 1 Thanks man. I thought that the clue about it evoking the pits of hathsin was too much of a giveaway bit it wasn't. I'm really getting better at this. Yay
-
Nope . Ok the answer is ...... ( Drumdrolls ) The pits of Eltania
-
Nope Is that the place the gang visits in shadesmar on OB ? Also nope
-
U know ok I'm gonna give a sixth clue what too. 6). The pov charecter(s) mentioned are invested to a minor degree. This investiture is natural , ie , no medallions or Soulcasters or whatever.

Nope

Um he did use WoBs

Hmm ok I guess. Well my friend did warn me not to go looking at conspiracies in everything. But still idk maybe I just don't want to admit I was wrong but maybe the statue was modeled after kelsier but it wasn't really kelsier. Yes yes I realize I'm grasping at imaginary straws. The fact that the statue has a eye spike I proof enough that it is most modelled after the Sovereign and Brandon confirms the statue is of kelsier. Well kek.

Nope

So the popular theory is that kelsier is the sovery right. I personally doubt it. I mean the entire theory hinges on the forearm scars and one single word. Hardly unique or irreplicable . For one , it might have taken quite some while for kelsier to Staple himself to a body , during which time the southern Scadrians would have frozen to death. Also , it doesn't really seem like kelsiers way to keep things so vague that he could be mistaken to be Tlr. I can't think of anything else kelsier would hate to be mistaken as. Also kelsier isn't the type to boast falsefully that he ruled in the north . And creating and leaving the BoM seems just.... crazy. Kelsier no matter how many times he declared himself as crazy was never actually that crazy . I think it was a half crazy mistborn who was obsessed with survivorism or with kelsier to the extent that he scarred his hands to resemble kelsier and like Zane I think he learned hemalurgy by himself maybe with Ruin's aid , except later he realized ruin was playing him and/or had a nervous breakdown or something and dropped out. I don't know how he survived the Inquisitors. Maybe they had thier hands full by then , with vin and the atium. Maybe they already had all the spikes they needed and thought ( with retrospective correctness ) that he wasn't a threat. Later after the catachendre , kelsiers ghost found him , gave him the knowledge of the shards existance and history and tasked him with rescuing the southern Scadrians. Hell kelsier might have led him to scavenge lots of feruchemical spikes from the dead inquisitors. Harmony too was ok with this. Not completely but to rescue the southern Scadrians, I guess he played along. Of course I might be completely wrong and oblivious of thr obvious but can we be 100% sure it is Kelsier.? Do we have a solid WoB with no hedging ?

Nope
