  1. Having read the latest chapter, I'm starting to wonder if the Rhythms and infused gemstones (as with the farms) are going to be the key to restoring Deadeye spren. Perhaps there is a certain Rhythm and gemstone type that will infuse the Deadeye and allow it to heal (much like how the Everstorm healed the Parshmen back into Singers)...
  2. Personally I think if a Dawnshard healed Szeth, then it's a pretty cremmy Dawnshard. If they're that powerful, I wouldn't expect his soul to be "improperly reattached"... But a fabrial? Perhaps experimental in design? Yeah. That would make a lot more sense.
  3. I have a gut feeling that he's in prison with Szeth. Perhaps not within reach, but not far from him.
  4. Now. This makes me curious for one particular idea. Is there a 1:1 correspondence between the fabrial cage metals' effects and the effects of various Rhythms? For example, hypothetically, if the Rhythm of Joy was the "same" as Zinc for a fabrial... Could Singers then modify their Forms with "subforms" by attuning or singing different Rhythms? like the war chants of the Warform listeners on the shattered plains, was that enhancing their Warform's abilities further?
  5. Flip reverse those for me. Huh.
  6. Ok yeah i forgot but this means you don't even NEED compounding.
  7. This is more interesting/depthful than it might seem at first glance Storing health makes you sick... but the 5th heightening prevents that. So you can just store health when you're relaxing at HUGE rates that would normally make people miserable, and then tap your enormous reserves to heal the physical injuries that the 5th heightening can't manage on its own.
  8. I can't wait for Shardworlds to have modern biological knowledge... It's going to be so interesting to see how that changes perception and therefore the powers they have access to...
  9. Okay, maybe there's something obscure. Black Shardblade definitely sounds like Nightblood.
  10. "Quite near to where you can find a lot of the Aethers" Only a lot? Not all of them? What? ...Oh yeah, Mraize has an Aether in his collection. I guess that's why. But still, why "a lot of the Aethers"? That could just be classic obscure WoB phrasing, but cmon...
  11. I'm pretty sure they were just grasping at straws...
  12. But then, Brandon has said to "never, ever trust anything a Herald says"...
  13. Well, Red is the color of Corrupted investiture...
  14. I think I like this idea because it suggests that Roshar might understand computers a lot sooner than it might seem.
  15. 50 Emerald Broams says she tried to bring an Ashynite disease to Roshar.
  16. And Renarin's Spren is corrupted by Sja-Anat, which may make a reasonable cover story for him if he gets found with Venli by the Fused/Regals.
  17. Firstly, Raboniel immediately struck me as the sort of Fused-Navani character, with her interest in Fabrials and Spren. My personal crackpot hypothesis is that her plan involves trying to use Sja-Anat to corrupt the Sibling itself, to change the function the Column will produce.
  18. Technically, the cover of the book. Also I think something, something, the blurb on the back of it?
  19. it may not have been soulcasting their personality in the magical sense. just a logical sense.
  20. I suppose also the question is how invested are Radiants who break their bond late in their Ideals... since they're tearing off part of the Spren and taking it with them, basically.
  21. The Storms of Odium? The Everstorm?
  22. Agreed. That's some pretty important physics for the Cosmere.
