    Certainly, he isn't alone in being Splintered fully. But it's still very possible that Odium's Shard-killing strategies all fall into a similar vein of "get the Vessel to make a decision that feels aligned with their Intent at first, but ultimately contradicts it".

    hmm... If there was some way to extract energy from the investiture, then you might be able to condense it to liquid form and then freeze it solid. I'm thinking something to do with the Shard's Tone and rhythm might be neccessary... maybe if you're able to trap it in isolation (like Navani did to Voidlight to make Anti-voidlight) and use a slightly lower-pitched and slower version of the Shard's "song", you might be able to force the investiture to drop into a lower energy state?? I'm trying to remember the real world analog of what i'm thinking of, some kind of refrigeration using lasers or something? but this would be the sound equivalent for the investiture...

    This is correct. I mean, imagine if everything that reflected red and blue light looked green, when every single photosynthetic plant ALREADY reflects green light. It'd just blend right in. Hence, magenta. Which is what we perceive as the "opposite" of green. Anti-green, if you will.

    Indeed, it seems he's saying all 3 are external. They're about doing their Intent's act to other people, not themselves. That's true. Hence why Diminish or Reduce would probably just be Ruin's particular flavor of Change.

    Okay, then instead of "destroy" as a dawnshard, how about "Reduce"? That does kind of feel like a subset of Change though... Dangit.

    These WoBs make me feel like the 10 orders have like... different "isotopes" of Tanavastium + Koravellium alloy. Maybe different Allotropes. (Phosphor irl is fairly well-known for having a couple noteworthy allotropes, check them out, it's cool)

Devotion + Dominion (properly) could be interesting to guess at, maybe something like... Oh, what's the dang word. Not nationality, but the word that usually applies to how Americans are proud to be americans. There's a single word that's defined as something like that but it escapes my mind at the moment.

    Also interesting is that she seems to perceive the metal like a Shard (at least R/P) does. Glowing energy. Either that's what happens when you push Metalsight to its limits, beyond even the "see the iron in your blood" of inquisitors, or the Bands are genuinely approaching the power level of Ascending like with the Well.

    It always reminds me of Syl's complaint about someone using a dead shardblade, except funny and lighthearted because adolin wouldn't be, yknow, dead.

    the main issue with that is that your bones produce fresh blood, so if you fully encased them you'd just... run out of blood. Best to wait until Era 4 and get some kind of micromesh that blood can fit through.

    Afaik, F-bendalloy stores food energy. You eat a bunch and store that, and then tapping it gives your body nourishment. You can also store water so you can STAY HYDRATED.
