  1. He... drifted.... in... and... out... of... his... mind... slowly... drifting. . . . . Water... a boat’s.... wake? Wake. . . Wake. . . Wake. . . Should.... he... wake? But... that would mean leaving... gentle bobbing... sweet release of... worry... coherent thought. The man... strayed close to that edge... Too close for comfort. But life wasn’t about comfort, was it? Wake up. Velles gasped, eyes snapping open. He began coughing, coughing up water, tried to breath, swallowed more water. He tried to sit down but only succeeded in slipping down into the watery expanse surrounding him. Velles flailed about with his arms and legs and slowly rose towards the surface. His head popped the surface, and he drew breath. Relief poured through his veins, flooded through his body. Velles slowly turned around, viewing his surroundings. Everywhere, there was the bright blue expanse of brilliant death. He was alone in the middle of the ocean. But wait... there! A boat, floating through the ocean, it’s beautiful wake tailing behind it. “Help!” Velles cried at the top of his lungs. “Please, turn back, help me!”
  2. OH MY GOSH GUYS. I had a dream the other night. That we all started posting *wins* again. And there was this giant celebration and everyone who regularly posts here was super happy. I NEED TO POST *WINS*
  3. Ack! A debate I forgot to respond to! Sorry, I’ll try and post my replies to your previous questions pretty soon, but the last couple of days have been pretty busy and felt lazy on the shard (read: I didn’t want to get a headache trying to combat you awesome debate skills and instead just wanted to post *wins*) But as to what you just said, yeah, that makes sense. Logic is straightforward and unchanging. My point in using the scientific method was to demonstrate that a lot of what we consider truth stems from a logical process. Thanks for answering your own question for me
  4. Cheese by itself is just so-so, but when you add it to virtually any other food, it tastes delicious.
  5. OH MA GOSH YESS SOMEONE WHO KNOWS THE TRUE WORTH OF A SONG Yeah. I rock out hard to that song every time that I hear it. The DJ played it once at a stake dance that I went to, and needless to say, I think I looked like a crazed maniac having a seizure on the dance floor.
  6. HAPPY SHARDIVERSARY!! ...how does one join this f-tin cult?
  7. Ooh, you have excellent taste in music I see! To be honest, I really only listen to their album Flood, but I really enjoy a couple of songs from there, specifically Birdhouse in Your Soul and Whistling in the Dark
  8. What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?
  9. What was your first impression of me?
  10. (What’s the price?)
  11. Oh my gosh yesssss, that one is so good!
  12. Just watched the entire thing yesterday, but man. It’s so good. In every regards. (A more detailed explanation can be found in the Entertainment Discussion). What’s your favorite song from the show? Mine’s gotta be Adelaide’s Trap or Into the Unknown
  13. Over the Garden Wall
  14. Welllll thirty if you really feel like it but 100 if you want to get the full experience
  15. Ok, I’m bringing this thread out of the Unknown! Just finished the show last night, and dang... I was blown away. Everything about it was so amazing and weird and heartfelt and THE MUSIC. It’s reminded me of Gravity Falls, but more serious and dark, while at the same time more funny with clever jokes folded into the dialogue. I loved the beautiful animation which whisks you away to a beautiful fall world where the natural landscape is excellently rendered. And the characters! Watching Wirt change and become a confident, courageous person was great. Seeing Greg overcome so many obstacles with optimism and naivety is splendid. Even seeing Beatrice and the Woodsman overcome their inner demons (or in one case, Beasts) was excellently done, it made me care about what happened to all of the characters. Seriouslu, this might be my new favorite show.
  16. The worm family that had once lived in Star’s head (from page who-knows-when) suddenly appeared, all miraculously uncrushed. “Hello!” The father worm said. “We’ve arrived on vacation!”
  17. Gateway books. The most dangerous kind.
