  1. Amaram was one of their leaders. I expect around that level of competency.
  2. No. Teft has squires as well. Bridge 13! If he is using Lightweaving then I don't think so. If she got out of range it would be a big problem.
  3. We don't know that Ialai is not heading this particular contingent. Sweet summer child as a phrase is from the 1840s.
  4. I think Gavilar would be providing instructions not to mention that he consistently underestimates females. I don't think any of her information is wrong it is just incomplete and possibly misleading.
  5. Who? Jasnah would have eaten your average political hack alive. If he marries her to someone ambitious or powerful enough to actually have a decent chance of using her, or even cooperating with her, then she is a bigger problem then before not to mention any children they have might be positioned in to mess up the succession.
  6. I don't think it helps her. Yeah she might be able to track that her father and her husband meet more often then normal but Jasnah would probably attribute that to favoritism. Amaram spends long times away from court and with her married to him she would have had trouble journeying to say Karbranth. Even if she did find out her being married limits her options and if worst comes to worst he might be relying on Amaram to "control her" as disgusting as that sounds.
  7. I think they are mostly doing superhero things quietly around Roshar. I wonder if someone looks at urban crime statistics if they will see a drop. By habit a lot of them will probably hide. Many are probably still making up their minds. I wonder what would happen if the monarchs or Urithiru were to all publicly state that Skybreakers following their law are required to present themselves at the tower. Some might actually be back at Urithiru already. With Windrunners in the field I don't think Skybreakers add much and anyway we don't know if they have many of them.
  8. I suppose bringing Dalinar makes sense now. Unlimited stormlight is a pretty big draw.
  9. Cousinman strikes again.
  10. Yeah. It would also provide a good reason that Amaram always has access to the crown and royal family even after Gavilar's death/was doing whatever he was going to do.
  11. Well now we know how they can get there. Dalinar can do a full perpendicularity opening. They just need to arrange for a proper place and time for both going and retrieval.
  12. Correct on both counts. I guess we have a cap on Windrunner numbers although Kaladin should up the number of squires. With fifty 3rd ideal Windrunners he should be able to field several thousand squires. Also we have no indication of Edgedancers squires. So I suppose they must be one of the orders that don't get them.
  13. Yep. Wonder how many people know about the true nature of the Aimians seeing as Shallan did not ID them right then. Looks like. Probably. I am not sure that Brandon can make me hate him more but apparently that won't stop him from trying. Not just opposing him but figuring out his plans and then modifying them. Once she is married it is kind of hard to hide what you are doing from your spouse. She would also probably have to stay with him for long periods of time limiting her access to either records or the players at court.
  14. Probably because he wanted her married off to someone he could control. Probably not. Without Gavilar they are clearly no real competition to anyone. It explains why he thought the GBs killed him. I think it is a remnant of their history. The Shenayim were probably a group of singer champions back when they were singers. Keeping to their old customs seems to be one those things that keeps them sane and dedicated. Have you heard chapter 8? We have it. It will explain a bit more about Roshone. Or if they can drain voidlight as well. Possibly a Vaden Highprince. Possibly an ardent. We saw a good 200 in the recreance vision. I think that is kind of the point. She has done nothing and yet Kal is still treating her like an Amaram level threat. I think Rock's problem is personal not cultural. Even disgraced political officials are extremely hard to de power/punish.
  15. A fair analysis. I agree but presumably by the time things got to that stage V would no longer be a prisoner. Still that joke was no.
  16. So in the next two chapters the consensus reads as far as I can tell that Shallan will wake up and either get made or be assigned some minor role in the SoH network. Also back at Harthstone some fighting will happen but stuff won't start to get really bad until latter. Anyone with a different OP feel free to comment.
  17. 12 hours *High pitched screaming!*
  18. Welcome to the shard. Ambitious entrance. My first theories were way worse. I do not think that Shallan is evil nor do I think that she will became Odium's champion. That makes perfect sense but we are coming to know Moash fairly well and will probably learn more about him in the future. Shallan is always easily pushed around until she is not. Drawing servants as a child aggravated her father. Hiding them makes sense. Tyn was clearly not trustworthy. Letting her think she had Shallan at a disadvantage and learning from her also makes sense. She also as of RoW has clued in at least Adolin into her activities as Veil. Shallan fears judgement and tries to hard to please but I don't think that is wrong ethically even if it is bad for her personally. Her father at least was not a danger to Shallan. He was a danger to those around them. Tyn would have killed her. Her personalities are a self defense mechanism. Shallan has showed compassion and even a willingness to risk her own life for others as we saw with the deserters and her refusal to abandon Kaladin. She even gave up personal secrets something that is very hard for her in order to give Kaladin a fighting chance. That would be terrifying but we know Odium has both spiritual realm access and fused who can Lightweave. He does not need her personally to do this.
  19. We will probably get some Truthwatchers but that seems like it is it for now.
  20. Like in shade? Thankfully thermodynamics makes it unlikely that you will cool yourself too much as heat will be carried from the atmosphere. A bigger concern is actually that your light will bend in such a way as to make viewing difficult for yourself and look outs.
  21. I compose weird fanfiction in my sleep?
  22. Nope. Welcome to the shard! The Sibling if we understand Brandon does not have a proper name. It just goes by title.
  23. Well Gavilar wants voidspren and that sort of thing is usually tested on animals first. Gavilar would want some idea of where he was going before he upped it to human trails.
  24. If they have eyes on the barge then they are not going to loose it no matter how good your Lightweavers are. It is just too big and too slow.
