  1. I don't know how half shards work. They steel could easily do both.
  2. Yes. A little less then half way in.
  3. We have the timing. Brandon has just stated it will be 3 months after OB that is around 10 months before RoW.
  4. This has been discussed but it is a quite negative and unrealistic portrayal of DID.
  5. So they were actively working for both sides and the radiants chose to build their capital around them?
  6. The sibling does not understand gender. Is it so unreasonable to presume that it could not adequately explain whether it was doing something intentionally or not? Except several other gems were also there. I always thought that was a red hearing so that we would not notice Renarin's strangeness. Also any Truthwatcher whose job it is to look for objective truth might not be doing so well when the end times are on us. But assuming your theory is correct then how could Sja-anat corrupt something already of Odium? You can't Odiumify(academic term) something already made of Odium. The Theylens kept in infused for centuries before that too. BAM could not have gotten out of their recently.
  7. I don't think so. Dalinar still has trouble understanding the stormfather sometimes even Pattern and Shallan have this problem. I think it is probably consistent across the board that the three great spren were often difficult to understand. Or that they feel immense gilt about not speaking about this before hand having deduced it would happen using normal methods(we know some Truthwatchers worked as "investigative journalist"). Why would this be noted? If the enemy is expected to have voidlight and everyone knows this why point it out? Brandon has confirmed that there are enough perfect gems to imprison all unmade. No reason exists stating that this has to be the same one. We even know the spren of the CR have some that they use for banking. They even use the plural term "perfect gems." What why? It just says they think they can catch one. Also 20-10 Zircon just says that the elsecallers have the perfect gems. Nothing about the unmade is in there. This is just a quibble but questioning your place and life choices is generally a good sign. It means that you are concerned with ethics and are less likely to be some kind of fanatic. But Honor and Cultivation arrived before the humans did. Wouldn't spren stone and wind have already been split? Sja-anat states in OB that she had never worked on a spren as powerful as the oathgate spren. I would think that the sibling would be as or more powerful. Wouldn't they Theylen's notice if a spren were inside Honor's drop? They kept it infused too.
  8. Even weakening their connection has consequences. We see this in WoR.
  9. That really does sound like the highspren. I agree that Jasnah is now cosmere aware at least to an extent. If Kholinar team had payed slightly more attention they would be too. Can you imagine Jasnah not asking "where is the court of gods?" and making note of the answer? She probably has some knowledge of other worlds but does not want to reveal it because A doing so would be disruptive sociologically B the 17th shard might forbid it(prime directive) and C Odium might conclude that he has to retaliate against any worlds that get involved.
  10. He really doesn't know yet but it does have to get rid of them. Severing connection will in of itself not work. Also Syl and Kaladin were still connected. Their bond does not appear to have been damaged or Syl would have suffered.
  11. Here RoW Lore, Magic, and Cosmere Discussion Technically no but this subject has been the source of a lot of consternation on Brandon's side so we don't have a canonical answer yet as to what happens to other metals.
  12. Well this really belongs in the other sub thread but that aside. What about metal poisoning? Your metals are not just unusable they must vanish somehow. That is one possibility.
  13. Shallans actions by their very nature are going to be much more versatile. You are, I think, also making it sound rather sinister. Art is not inherently malicious any more then investigative journalism is inherently good.
  14. I think it just makes it more difficult for Syl to manifest in the physical realm. The reason Kaladin's powers stop working is because Syl is too far away.
  15. Firstly I do believe it is targeted. Secondly I believe the principle R is calling up is that everyone can/could be good. Kaladin already is but that is just my OP.
  16. Moash had been elevated to a verb. The proper phrasing is Moash Moash!

    Lift

It was in the newsletter. You can still get it if you sign up IIUC.
  18. IRL DID does correlate to various forms of childhood abuse I am not sure how Brandon plans to cover that if it is his choice.
  19. I don't think so. What you see is what you get with Adolin.
  20. It is the difference between objective and subjective reality. In point of fact what R is doing seems more in line with a normal Lightweaver then a normal Truthwatcher. He is showing a potential future or maybe a "what could have been." I wonder if this is what shardic combat in the spiritual realm looks like. Basically a complex argument that involves both shards using willpower to attempt to create axioms that bind other shards in ways that their opponents can't bring themselves to acknowledge. Maybe Odium's bonds are basically an argument by Tanavast that "we are one" somthing Odium can't by his vary nature acknowledge. The thrill could easily destroy a nation or even cause an ecological collapse if the system supporting the war effort were delicate(as islands often are).
  21. Swords are traditional. They are highly versatile weapons that also tend to last a long time. If you are interested here are some interesting options. https://www.medievalists.net/2015/02/top-10-strange-weapons-middle-ages/
  22. You might be able to make a fabrail that creates a cognitive signature or whatever you want to call it of the thing your alerter fabrail looks for so you get a false positive.
  23. Maybe. Alternatively you might give a false positive of a large number of blancs.
  24. I think bronze accepts while copper projects(or possibly transmits). Interesting.
