Hm. Perhaps. I do think we will need another character in between though.

She is wondering how the tower of Urithiru works and hopes to use its method to make more once she understands the theory. Someone is acting like she is Oppenheimer. I don't think they are talking about anything she has done yet. Rather things she is starting to figure out. She might have been writing for Timbre. I don't know if she can write alethi but maybe her spren can and is helping. As to your second question Willshaper abilities seem the obvious answer. Good question. That would be fun. Only how would the Sibling arrange that? We are sort of in a climax. I think putting those here would mess with the pacing.

Ah. Technically it is already there and formed it just has not yet been recognized. Indeed. I wonder what Veil is going to do.
-
Formless?

Hm. That does track. All of our main PoVs are back at base by my tally. Navani and Dalinar of course along with Shallan and Adolin. Kaladin is in with the rest of his bridge and a bunch of new information has come to light. I think we might switch over to Venli first so that our characters can "get settled" but other then that it makes sense.
-
Could it be Venli? I admit I don't think it is but that would be a cool thing to do.

Ahhh. I think they are referencing the fabrails she talked to Rushu about in chapter 6. Spirit realm fabrails. Very dangerous. You are correct that they do not seem to talk like the Sleepless we have met. On the other hand Sleepless are highly specialized. The one assigned to watch tec development my have adopted this mindset.

New Soulcasters? Shardplate? Just how much valuable swag did the Aimains leave behind?
-
True I suppose. Any guesses for next week?
-
They might be worried about Navani's potential to create super weapons of some kind(like may have happened on Ashyn). They might have ethical concerns about possible future fabrails. The idea I think is to trim things at the beginning. Once something is known if cannot easily be unknown.

Looks like this one was wrong.

It makes sense. "One of them could destroy us" on the back of WoKs. Easily infiltrating what must be a heavily guarded area with a small mass. Their determination to maintain secrecy. Seems to make a lot of sense.
-
Looks like all of us were wrong. Better luck next time!
-
I think it is actually a sleepless. FINALLY COSMERE REVEAL! I think the second more probable. Glad we are getting a Navani PoV.
-
It is technically possible by WoB but we have not yet seen it.
-
Well the principle involved is fairness. Protection of others is their right not a privilege. What it looks life for Lopen could be anything. I hope it is a casual moment. "We all have to look after each other guncho!"

Yeah it is a pretty common way of letting the audience know when working in a shard universe.

Would it not matter if that author said "I did my best to show DID accurately researching its effects on day to day life and talking to members of that community" and then gave a ridiculous media portrayal of it? Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is an excellent piece of artwork. It just does not portray DID and if the author had claimed it did he would be doing harm. There is a difference between showing something that is clearly not meant to be a realistic portray and monetizing other people's pain after researching it. I don't think me being unOK with harmful stereotypes fits into that category. I don't know. Do you find that problematic? Why? You do not need to double post nor are you supposed to. You can edit your previous post if you need to. Also would that not make it more realistic?
-
Dramatic. Welcome to the shard. I don't think this likely for the obvious reasons but it would be interesting. I think it will be the realization that her family was never happy and maybe she tried a couple of lightweavings to fix things that made everything worse. IE nice conversations that never happened turn into arguments.

It is a good theory. It could also apply to the 9th unknown unmade with D doing something else.

What does that even mean? Sure sometimes the existence of fantastical people, events, nations, or psychologies can be enjoyable. Wakanda for example could not exist according to our current understanding of social sciences yet I loved black panther. That is different from saying that artists who refuse to indulge in silly negative portrayals of stigmatized people cannot produce good material. Ruling out the idea that Shallan has a secret murder personality because the idea of DID actually working like that is ridiculous does not prevent me from enjoying Brandon's material. Also given that Brandon himself has publicly stated he is going to try and portray it accurately deciding not to do that for a SHOCKING TWIST would be unfair and harmful.

10 by my count. I agree it is exiting. No. I also don't think they will. I see Odium's only three that should concern you as a way of telling the audience not to think about other shards showing up.
-
My point is that this is the conclusion that everyone including Shallan jumped to. As such is would seem kind of silly for them to just decide. Yeah that is what happened. Also how do you keep going with that plot. Any other conclusions afterward would be red hearings. Basically the entire story would be "Shallan wastes time when she knows the answer but is repressing the information." I personally find that quite silly. In both examples (spoilers for both I suppose) However Shallan does not act in ways we don't understand. She is often surprising but he motivations always make sense. In addition a hollywood portrayal of a very real condition would turn off a lot of readers including myself.
-
Off the top of my head. Young Justice season 1 and Captain America in secret empire both did this trope. At the time it was actually done pretty well(they were both conditioned ahead of time in ways that made sense at least using comic book logic) but given we know Shallan can't trust herself and Shallan knows she can't either it is not like a viewer would not easily be able to figure that one.

I personally would find it quite boring. It has been done to death really. In fact it seems like the most obvious possibility.
