  1. I suppose in theory they could have laid hands on some unimaginably large trove of shards but we have seen no evidence that they have.
  2. They could not. We have no way of knowing. Maybe but consider how much training a Lighteyes has with blade and plate and compare. In a match the regal is going to loose and while loosing will loose the shards. Not many. That is kind of the point.
  3. They said it has to get into the bloodstream to take effect quickly. Drinking it would not work.
  4. Neither. Kaladin states that they don't do one on one combat on the ground and additionally Moash had Graves with him. Finally no duel was offered or excepted by either party and ambushes have different rules then open combat anyway.
  5. Physically they are better but I don't think they are in good enough shape mentally.
  6. Possible. I also want to take Lift to the valley and see if she can do anything with the mist.
  7. Or if you can find a way to take out her you can raise Gavilar for that position with your chosen individual as a regent. Alternatively he is just being reactive as with his current limited membership and the number of people who know about him increases he is in greater danger. He needs to go underground for at least a decade to rebuild his strength.
  8. I lean to this one. The other two would take a lot of set up. You have to infuse a fabrail for it to work. Navani's painrail does that.
  9. You don't need to drill holes. Doing so is ideal but touching it is all that is required.
  10. MB spoilers MB and Warbreaker MB spoiler People are different. Littles are common as are protectors but neither are universal. No law states that alters have to follow specific rules. So to answer your question no. Brandon does not need to add a little. Some systems with DID don't have them. Shallan could be one such system. It would not be inaccurate. I respect your desires concerning Brandon's choices but I do not understand why Shallan's development limits her. Isn't it the other way around? As she develops newer possibilities open. Shallan could actually do a lot of damage as Odium's champion. I never thought it was particularly likely in any case. Lightweavers make terrible henchmen most of the time. We are too adaptable and unpredictable to manage easily. Unless you make us a true believer its not going to work out.
  11. Cramming yourself into someone else's body cannot be healthy.
  12. No way to tell. Brandon has also RAFOed what happens when two nicrobursts touch each other.
  13. Apply just enough force to knock the dart out of her body while they are moving her. Then pick it up after team radiant leaves.
  14. Attraction fabrails (like Navani's) could easily pull out and retrieve a dart. The GBs even have one to deal with the smoke in their lair.
  15. Unless they have some clever way to get rid of it. An attraction fabrail maybe?
  16. Mraize does in fact use projectiles.
  17. I am just imagining trying to explain this to Wax. Or just a good vantage point from the back door.
  18. Or joining team Odium or just sticking around with Dalinar until an opportunity to double cross him presented itself. She had options she just chose not to take them.
  19. She could probably make it to an oathgate with a Windrunner escort if she really wanted to. Remember how competent she is.
  20. I can't believe neither I nor anyone else pointed this out but WE KNOW MRAIZE USES BLACKBANE DARTS! He also monitors both Ialai and Shallan at different points and has no compunctions about killing people. How is he NOT the most obvious suspect? We are clearly overthinking things.
  21. If she really wanted to mess with them wouldn't staying alive and soaking up their attention and resources while they are busy trying to fight back against the end of the world be more effective?
  22. Nothing really is but having someone who she has trouble fooling has been important to Shallan's development.
  23. I am glad we are finally tracking those two down. They have been teased since forever. I also wonder if for the first time we will see the cosmere unveiled in a major series. Will team Radiant all know about Nalthis by the end of RoW? I am really hopping for a yes. Perhaps this will make them more inclined to take the options of mutually assured destruction. It is OK if Roshar dies if Odium dies as well. Odium can't afford that kind of escalation but some members of team radiant can. That does not mean much. Plenty of people call Tanavast Honor on Roshar. Even uneducated ones.
  24. Several points. You only have three out of the sixteen metals possible. That is not even close to a certainty. Why all three? Sometimes the connections are hard to grasp. You have not done the research(and because you don't live in the cosmere you can't). We have repeated confirmation that aluminum and silver both have properties across the entire cosmere unrelated to allomancy so in that case at least allomancy is "taking advantage" of an existing property. I don't think the aluminum in the Fourth Bridge fabrial is being used as part of the fabrail the same way brass or zinc would be. Brass was actually a mistake in MB. Originally its feruchemical properties were supposed to be those of electrum. Brandon had to switch them latter. I do actually agree that allomantic properties are a hint at metal properties but I still think this is an erroneous conclusion. Relationships still exist between all of the different properties. For example... I doubt it. I am fairly sure duralumin enhances connection. In the case of allomancy this is connection to Preservation so you get a boost to the speed of your powers. In terms of fabrail science it might be useful to coordinate between several different ones or for things like translation but I don't think it will just enhance things for free. Brandon never does stuff like that.
