By that logic the metal could be almost anything.

Soulcasting does not preserve mass it preserves shape.

Honorable Heavenly Ones - True Character or Salespitch
Karger replied to Michael Portz's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think it could be both. Their honor is probably important to them(a point of pride as well as a good touch stone for their own sanity). Additionally warfare often does involve negotiations with the enemy. It is beneficial for Team Radiant to be able to trust Team Odium during a parley so Odium allows them to keep their sense of honor such that it is. -
I think at the very least Shallan, Kaladin, Szeth, and Dalinar should all do ideal five during the first five books. Szeth doing so could prove that he is more correct then Nale, Dalinar is going to have a huge arc in book 5, Kaladin is our main and deserves a finished story arc, and I want Shallan to be a happy self actualized person.

Glad you caught that then. Good work Sharders.

She made a distraction.
-
Then why not ship him with the male characters too? She is still gay!
-
Interesting but how would nicrosil block a shardblade hit?
-
Adolin is not Gavilar. He understands that people can be attracted to each other without it being wrong or somehow offensive. Additionally Veil may like Kaladin but she does not love him(I actually don't think Veil has that capability) and she has expressed irritation at Windrunners in general. He is worried about his wife who he does not have any way of knowing has things in hand and thought was signalling for help!

Agreed. I really really dislike the whole "Shallan must integrate to be healthy" movement. Not all people with DID manage to do it and for plenty of them that is perfectly normal and healthy.
-
Probably just a room lit by candles in Urithiru and maniacals that make it impossible to cut your way out with a shardblade.
-
I imagine some orders especially squires use shields part of the time.
-
I personally think it more likely they just had ten oathgates built and the silver kingdoms grew around that.
-
I think @psc92 explained it better but again just wanting to do something and saying that you are going to do it does not matter.

You can't improve your health by living in a place without decent medical care or sanitary conditions. Hence I assume lowering your health does not improve it even if you keep the same level of sanitation.

All of his messed up romances, a strained relationship with a loving father(that nearly destroyed the world if you think about it), trouble sorting out how to behave around Kaladin, nearly getting himself killed at the dueling arena in WoR, nearly failing his relationship with the "woman of his dreams"... I actually think that Adolin is one of the more well balanced characters in SA. His arcs are largely internal but they are still happening. He is just a friendly guy trying to help out, thinking about what he wants, and wondering why he fails part of the time and if that is important or not. That sounds like my average weekday. His arc is mine.

The way I see it healing is your bodies ability to prevent or reverse damage. If you decrease that ability for a long period of time it is very possible you will develop an internal infection(like type one diabetes) and you might not be able to reverse it. You can't really strengthen your immune system by being less healthy. It does not really work that way.

It kind of is. He who transforms is his title because among other things he soulcast the world. His pure goodness created pure evil. Humans were created because we have free will and thus total good can increase. How about them currently being destroyed? Their entire afterlife at steps you take to get to it is based around reclaiming what they now have confirmation no longer exists.
-
Dude! Inadequacy, living up to impossible expectations, prior trouble in holding down a stable relationship. Adolin has plenty of problems. He is just generally a more mature person. That does not mean that he does not have room for personal growth.
-
That would work yes but with most of the best abilities a feruchemist has access to like healing, speed, or willpower it will probably not.

Generally actions come after the oath. You are given understanding of a what or a why you swear the oath and then you take action. Highspren likely care more about the action then most however. Add to this that we know at least one skybreaker did not have plate for two decades. They could have gotten it much sooner and just waited for the right opportunity to swear the oath.
-
Hm. Windrunners have tended to rely more on mobility. Some vambraces would be a good idea. Perhaps some plate as well...
-
Maybe. Navani does mention that they do odd things sometimes as is. I personally think they are reacting to something in one of the other realms.

Veil's job is to protect Shallan. However she is not a good problem solver. That is Shallan's thing. Radiant is good for dealing with formalities but she can't really be intimate and is to "pure" to make ethical judgements a lot of the time. It will really be up to Shallan.
