  1. Are they? All of the Skybreaker oaths are about doing things. I will seek justice, I will follow this code. Kaladin is protecting people before he swore any oaths. He only gets the words once he figures out the reasoning behind the oaths. You can say that you have a goal any time. It only starts to matter when you start taking real concrete steps to achieving that goal. Brandon actually likes to talk about this(he did so in Alcatraz and during the Starsight release date). Brandon always wanted a dragon. However he desire lead to nothing until he realized that Magellan had all the qualities of a dragon that he wanted(speech, flight, bright colors).
  2. Impressively nasty. Any more ideas like that?
  3. Please add this to my thread.
  4. I was thinking more along the ideas of "I have a right to be safe!" but yeah it would be awesome.
  5. She and her slime ball seemed to have been on good terms and Sadeas does not seem to have known which implies that she did not either. Amaram telling her some stuff seems more probable.
  6. He will uncover the truth that raves are awesome! I wonder how she contacted the SoH.
  7. ? Abuse is probably the oldest crime in human history and is as disgustingly present in plenty of western cultures as it is in the ones you named over that time span.
  8. Depends on what she is moving toward. I personally think she was making progress. She avoided self destructing with her Adolin relationship, she is starting to trust him, is learning to work with her different personas and she is starting to remember things. This is all huge progress for her character.
  9. Including Navani? Or a radiant but yeah.
  10. Who is the guy with the red cape? Kholin colors are blue. The sun indicates that the city has a largely eastern or western orientation. I think western more probable unless this is shinovar. That largely rules out Kharbranth which faces more south and implies Theylenah or possibly Emul.
  11. So we don't have confirmation but I am pretty sure what the verse lashing does it create a large center of gravity. It would be expensive(in stormlight) but it could certainly be used to aim a projectile assuming you want to hit center mass on something and don't really care which center mass. It would be a good application of the net idea as the fused could not doge easily. Your idea of adding it to a loose line might also work as you could reel the fused in and then drop the connection by taking back the stormlight thus preventing the cage match I was worried about.
  12. Agreed. I wonder if blades work like that. Or perhaps that Kaladin is "loosing his edge." (I know it is terrible)
  13. Hate be that guy but if you add another comma it works for the life of Gavilar that we know. He killed, he questioned, he felt or engendered sorrow, he lied, and then he died. It still is very interesting though.
  14. Sorry. What would you call it then Maybe he has dulled the edge for some reason or he is using the haft of the spear to bruise badly enough to bleed? High fives! Depends. They might be able to. Hopefully it won't come to that.
  15. It makes sense. A cut does not sever but a slice does.
  16. Seems probable.
  17. https://coppermind.net/wiki/Mirris
  18. Or maybe one of bridge four injured her?
  19. Basically that story is a flash forward to the cosmere's distant future. We do know that the ones above a group we have met before they were probably just less advanced then.
  20. Presumably.
  21. Would Bloodmaker Ferrings exist in this category as well? If not, what about someone Compounding Gold? Brandon Sanderson Yes, you are correct. Shagomir As a Bloodmaker ages, what keeps them from healing the damage and carrying on as a very old, but very healthy person? Do they come to a point where they can't store enough health to stave off the aches, pains, diseases, and other things that come with old age? This makes sense for traditional Feruchemy as it is end-neutral, so storing health becomes a zero sum game - eventually, you're going to get sick and you're not going to be able to overcome it with your natural healing ability no matter how much you manipulate it with a goldmind. ...Unless you've got a supply of Identity-less goldminds lying around. Would a Bloodmaker with a sufficient source of Identity-less goldminds (or the ability to compound, thus bypassing the end-neutral part of Feruchemy) eventually just die from being too old? Brandon Sanderson Basically, yes. They can heal their body to match their spiritual ideal, but some things (like some genetic diseases, and age-related illnesses) are seen as part of the ideal. Depends on several factors. Stormlight Three Update #5 (Nov. 29, 2016)
  22. Except that WoB has been overused and misinterpreted. (Sorry but it crops up so much that I get kind of annoyed)
  23. Maybe. She might have torn something when Kaladin rammed her.
  24. Adonalsium has always been portrayed as singular. Also how can something which is everything be corrupted? This implies an outside force that we have know knowledge exists.
