    Era 3 team

Why not do something more reckoner style and have them use tech to counter the mistborn's abilities and put little or no powered people on the team?
  2. Shardplate is not indestructible but I do wonder if you could sacrifice the mobility and some power for more weight? Also how would you see where you are going?
  3. Complicated?
  4. If you can weaken or distract them enough for a shard beheading then it is still useful.
  5. The Nahel bond allows Radiants access to shardblades and shardplate. Shardplate seems pretty uniform but I blades have done all kinds of things. We have seen shardspears shardknifes shardshields. What are your ideas for how plate and blade could be used. Does Shardplate have offense and deference forms? How about some kind of workform? Would shardsarrows work? What about a shardbow? Can more complicated shards be made like shardcrossbows or shardguns? Any answers?
  6. Timbre. The rest of the listeners could sure use a radiant about now but instead you choose Venli? Venli? She literally caused all of this and instead of choosing one of the thousand run away from Odium and survive the everstorm people she chose a power hungry sadist who just massacred a large number of her own for her own gain!
  7. I kind of think that Harmony keeps both Kelsier and Marsh around as free agents who represent the different side of him Ruin and Preservation. Marsh is kept around for destroying threats and Kelsier to help others survive. Harmony himself is limited and besides he is humble enough to know that he is fallible so having a couple of people around who know you and can tell you if they think they are messing up is just a good idea. Also because Sazed must keep the balance between the two shards it occurs to me that he might be using each of them to figure out what the shards want to do so that he can counter and so that each of them could take up each shard should he die.
  8. That is my point it does not seem likely to take that much stormlight to lash a pebble with some real speed considering what he has done with larger objects.
  9. Much harder to soulcast also aluminum dust could be moved by a wind caused with surgebinding. Agreed and I am going further and saying that anything that happens at that battlefield should almost certainly be taken with a grain of salt what with everything happening there. Also why is Kaladin manually throwing rocks? We saw him move a giant bolder that was comming right at him back at the thunderclast with lashings using a supply of stormlight he was physically carrying. Doing so did not drain his stormlight reserves to the point where he could not fight during the rest of the long battle and he still had some left over during shademar travel. Also why does he have to break off chunks of rocks? To paraphrase prime Taln "We are on Roshar their are rocks." The size of the rocks is pretty much immaterial just lash them at Jasnah and hope some of them hit.
  10. Shallan does feel fear. One of her first truths is "I'm terrified."
  11. I have a hard time believing that the Radiants mothballed the tower as we can see that abandoning it was seen as so momentous. I also have a hard time believing that they would put a tone of effort into building something that could only be used once a century. Considering that they new how to grow food increase pressure and had a large scale fabrial powered pluming system (not to mention some way of keeping out voidbringers and Odium himself) I can't help but think that their is something wrong with your theory. This is just my opinion it does not mean that I could not be missing something or just plain wrong.
  12. This makes no sence as Heralds were generally not around except during destinations and I expect that the KR would want a fully functional city at all times.
  13. Sure but generals and kings have successors who can replace them quickly in an emergency. It could take years for one of the three to form a bond with a human (Their was a generation with only one!) years during which Urithuri would take a tremendous amount of Radiantpower to man. I have a hard time believing that the ancient KR would make their city so dependent on single individuals when they went out of their way to make it self sustaining in every other way.
  14. This actually brings up an interesting point. Shallan does not actually seem to feel physical fear of anything not related to her exposure. She keeps quipping and being interested when confronted by a chasmfiend. That can not be health. Adolin's making her unafraid is can only be used in regard to the fact that she feels she can be genuine with him something I see as good for both their relationship and Shallan herself.
  15. Which vision is that? Also we have no idea how hard that is.
  16. If her stormlight is running low then going to shadesmar is most likely not a good idea. Especially if Kaladin can draw spren to him.
  17. He literally told them when he was asked its not like they had any idea ahead of time. Considering they are so corrupted by Odium's essence they would probably think it legitimate if he wanted him dead because the king put his boots on wrong. Also Moash thinks Kaladin became disillusioned because of the dueling fiasco. Also I have a hard time believing that the fused will want to spend time spying on humans who they view with irrational hatred even if they do have disguises that will let them pass for human.
  18. As to the smokescreen idea couldn't Kaladin just disperse if via causing some wind at a critical moment. I also think that Kaladin knows that he has the advantage in a no stormlight fight so he would probably be more conservative then Jasnah who has to kill him before the battle gets to that point.
  19. It still strikes me as incredibly risky. Their are only up to three bondsmiths what if something happens to them? Their have been times with only one bondsmith so what happens if they die of natural causes or assassination does the city stop?
  20. This does beg the question of why he chose not to corrupt it or why he could not.
  21. Exactly, I doubt there is a perfect solution here Shards are designed to be peaty OP but a weighted net would slow them down long enough that you could move in with several people with heavy clubs, lances, or axes. They charge or smash and break sections of the armor while the man struggles to free himself and then if that does not kill them you can just have several skilled archers put arrows through them.
  22. What makes you think they could all channel stormlight? The Stormfather specifically says that that never happened before.
  23. I am aware. The original statement was not meant for him.
  24. If you are going to start using aluminize then why not weighted nets of the stuff that could tangle the shardbearer?
