  1. I recently read a different thread that claimed that the sibling was in fact the one unmade the had escaped being unmade by Odium and that the unmade were in fact spren left by Adonalsium. With Urithiru designed to protect it from Odium so that their would not be 10 unmade. https://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/83206-the-unmade-the-sibling-and-pre-shard-spren/#comment-829672
  2. I think that is a baseless argument. Kel does not have anything reassembling a code he lies, dissembles, and murders in pursuit of a goal not in an attempt to maintain order or justice. Every order could kill under the right circumstances and we are talking about his personality not his powers.
  3. I don't think so as the Heralds themselves sometimes reference the unmade like in Jeserian's rant in Dalinar's flashback. I like your theory and I think I want to take it a step further. What if the tower was realy intended to protect the sibling and it withdrew to protect itself once the tower's protections began to fail to avoid a similar fate to the other unmade? We know that the tower is supposed to be immune/protected to the voidbringers and that the sibling does not leave there. We also know that they tower's protections eventually began to fail and the sibling began to withdraw. I am wrong in suspecting a correlation?
  4. Rock would teach Dalinar how to make cake. Kaladin would get Syl a hat (do spren have birthdays and do you have to get them things?)
  5. I am pretty sure you can't as we see no one do it ever in all of the books despite several ocations where it would be usefull. Also how do you maintain intent while sleeping. You may if you are good learn to sort of meditate while storing but otherwise no.
  6. What is your order?
  7. What makes the Heralds so powerful in a world of KR? What has Felt been doing and why? How did Odium kill Honor and why do it at the exact moment he did? What are the Dawnshards? What is Hoid's actual goal?
  8. When do you all think that we will be able to read the prologue or any of the book itself?
  9. Pigs are eaten at fort cities where it is safe to kill them Silence just doesn't eat pork because it is to expensive. Pigs are smart enough to learn the simple rules instinctively so it makes sense that they would be used in the forest. They are also hardy and able to eat almost anything themselves as well as a good source of hide.
  10. Perhaps because pigs are smarter and or more lively then goats or sheep. Also they are likely better suited to the climate.
  11. Pretty sure the windspren Kaladin summons can counter the dust. If Jasnah can and does create aluminum Kaladin can use it against her rip it out and throw it back or use it as an off hand. Soulcasting takes much more stormlight then lashing so if she tries it and misses thats it. We all should agree that Kaladin is wining in a hand to hand.
  12. I still doubt that Odium would weaken himself out of laziness at the same time surrendering one of his greatest advantages. (He is one of the best of the known shards at looking into the future.) I doubt that the cost is worth it so I am going to have to come down on the side that Moleach is doing something else. Perhaps mining his victims for information or investiture?
  13. Effort for ordinary humans but Shards exist in the spiritual realm does it take effort for them?
  14. Are shards unlimited? Is their a limit to how many people Endowment can invest or will she eventually run out of investiture?
  15. After several thousand years I suspect that the Heralds would catch on. I agree that death rattles are a byproduct but Odium already has precog why would he diminish his power and possibly leak useful Intel just to gain something he already has? I thought the same at first with the hole Odium wants opportunistic humans to kill each other but those that Mr T does kill are those that would not be useful in a war effort. Those who are already dying or who would not be missed not exactly useful to remove.
  16. Also don't we have a WoB that indicates that all of the Heralds are of Ashyn descent?
  17. Whatever his ultimate goal Hoid clearly does not want Rayse around interfering so naturally he would want to stop Odium. However as a worldhopper the destruction of Roshar would not do much more then inconvenience him so if stopping Rayse means ending Roshar he will make the sacrifice.
  18. Shades are sort of pushed away by humans which is why you are not in danger if you walk slowly in the forest. If pigs have the same effect then keeping some around would actually ward away shades. Also the amount of forage available to fatten the pigs indicates that Silence can wait and then sell them to the fort folk where they can be slaughtered and eaten safely.
  19. Yes people noticed which is exactly what I would not want if I was an evil god bent on destroying the world. Telegraphing your intentions to the enemy is the opposite of what any military strategist would recommend which indicates that either this an extremely elaborate misinformation campaign or something else is going on.
  20. Chanarach the patron of the Dustbringers is associated with the divine attributes brave and obedient. One of these definitely defines Kel one does not however the one Dustbringer we do know Malata is, although not respectful, obedient to a person and cause that she respects. As the leader of a cause Kel was never confronted with an obvious superior so we don't know how he would react to someone who clearly demonstrates worthiness of the position (obviously the Lord Ruler did not deserve obedience). On the other hand I have a hard time believing that Kel's work with the southerners was accomplished without Harmony's acceptance if not approval which does indicate that they have some kind of working relationship so we can assume that he does accept and respect Harmony implying that Kel does actually respect him and would likely agree to work in a subordinate position to him if he was onboard with the cause. So yes Kel could be a respectable Dustbringer.
  21. He did not specify the love had to be romantic.
  22. Considering all the other unmade, fused and ordinary singers that Odium has access to I don't think that my dying friend is going to do much to scare me even if he does spout some random prophecy at his death. Odium can scare people way easier he should not need to split his soul to do it. He is clearly giving useful information but why would he? These people are his enemies. Exactly But as Dalinar points out you can learn way more from an enimie's lies then from no information whatever. So why is Odium apparently helping his enemies by giving them (admittedly limited) access to the spiritual realm? Access that limits his own ability to anticipate the future should his opponents study closely(I am assuming that a close reading would function like Atium future sight blocking).
  23. I liked the moment with Navani and Dalinar together on top of the tower with Navani only partially dressed as an indication that she was comfortable around him as opposed to a seduction attempt. The other one was Syl hugging Kaladin when he can't swear the third ideal acknowledging and comforting Kaladin for his human failures.
  24. We are not realy sure of the function that Odium intended Moelach to serve though. The thrill can be used either to prompt reckless behavior on the part of the enemy or to empower your own troops but why would you want to give dying people visions of the future. I suspect that this is only a side effect of what he is supposed to do.
  25. I am going to say that marvel will not use that as it will not fit in with the MCU as we know it. I am not saying that marvel will not gradually introduce mutants into the MCU (although I don't realy want them to) but they will do it vary differently and probably with a series of reboots.
