  1. Never trust atoms. A man walks into a bar he says "I want ten times the number of drinks already being served here! Nerdy pick up lines. Are you a carbon sample? Because I want to date you. According to the second law of thermodynamics, you're supposed to share your hotness with me. I wish I was your derivative...
  2. As evidenced by the number of people who took the time to discuss this we enjoy talking with you about your vine theory. That does not mean we are under any obligation to believe you though. This conversation takes place in a garden. I believe shalebark is also mentioned. This is actually a fairly common statement. The Nightwatcher is associated with death "all save the Heralds must dine with the Nightwatcher" is a quote from Nohodon's Way of Kings and Sigzil says he would join anyone even the Nightwatcher if stew was involved. Vadanar is a much warmer area then Alethkar so the country has more plant life and vines. Sanderson likes to talk about plant life all over the place as a way of setting the scene. Remember the sullen grass? Those underwater trees? Kaladin Noting that Rockbuds are smaller? This is several successive jumps. First you say(and I think we all agree) that Ithi(please capitalize a name) has vines growing on her as a result of her soulcasting savantism and that this is the essence of pulp which is associated with Pailiah. While Pailiah does have the surge of progression or healing. I fail to see how this relates to anything including your theory. Her body is turning into the thing she was soulcasting. This is not the only example of this. Another soulcaster turns to smoke and another turns to rock. This is a well documented Rosharan phenomena. Soulcasting itself is a form a surgebinding which is mostly associated with Honor(Cultivation has her own system). So she is a snazzy dresser with a sense of theme? Shards can appear however they want to. Odium looks like a singer when he talks to them despite being human. What do you think he should be made out of? Apparently Rosharans think vines when they hear growing. That make sense. Vines are well known to grow quickly over a large amount of ground in a fairly short amount of time(to the irritation of many gardeners). This does not mean that he is only associated with vines. He enjoys it immensely when Lift grows a tree in front of him. If all of the vines had been destroyed that might be noteworthy as it implies that Odium has some interesting in killing off a specific kind of plantlife. The fact that one patch of vines got hit by an errant bolt of lighting does not seem particularly noteworthy.
  3. The problem is that that sort of power tends to bring out the worst in people and even a relatively good dictator is going to make mistakes that no one else can counterman.
  4. Mist that only comes out at night, does not enter buildings, and responds oddly to alomancy is common on earth? Why did no one tell me? I personally thought that the mist was going to be a something big and was correct. The idea that anything could be important is true and it is fine to bring it up but that also means that I and others should be allowed to criticize what we see as problems with your theory. My current "pause words" are connection(weather or not it is capitalized!), investiture, light, honor, cultivation and identity as well as words that have the same root meaning. Most of those are generally used to express something important but I am not going to pause every time a see spren, or sphere or cremling weather or not they have meaning unless the context implies something important. If I did I would never be able to finish the book. Many thing probably mean something but if you assume that something means everything without any real proof then I not going to see the value in pressuring the theory to the ends of the earth and I am going to criticize what I see as incongruous leaps of logic. If you still want to keep going that is fine but don't blame anyone else for not following you or if they decide to go the other way.
  5. I am fairly certain that once steamed and cooked a given cremling is no longer part of a sleepless.
  6. I actually like this a lot better. To paraphrase Jasnah. We sometimes have a greater problem with other people who have our same qualities then with other people who have completely different ones. Two spren that are as different as possible would likely be attracted to a person for two different reasons and might have an easier time compromising. I still doubt that godspren will share though. They seem a bit territorial.
  7. I am not sure who "we" are but I am going to say that you are likely wasting a lot of time and that more efficient search parameters for sleepless surveillance are possible. Make sure that the cremling is alive and doing something in the sentence or even the subject of the sentence before you stop for example. "IE A cremling scurried away" is a useful sentence"on top of the plate was a single cremling" clearly is not. Vines are realy common plants both on earth and Roshar. Cultivation is a shard, a literal god by some definitions. She can see into the spiritual realm! Why would she rely on normal means to spy on anyone when she is one of the best shards when it comes to seeing the future?
  8. This is because she has savantism from only using the essence of pulp ie plant matter. That is likely because of human perception We should not pause every time we see the word cremling. It is a common curse.
  9. Cultivation has her own Mist. We see it in the valley.
  10. Many gemstones are likely under the crem. Mining on Roshar is a bit difficult however as crem tends to fill everything as you dig. Additionally the entire ground is made of stone. No soft stuff.

    Trell is Trell?

    Yes third letter. SA spoilers
  12. A perpendicularity is just an enormous amount of investiture. A star or black hole is just an enormous amount of mass.

    Trell is Trell?

One of the letters in SA.
  14. Technically yes but the number is meaningless. The Shard must simply get enough investiture in one place however they want to and you get a perpendicularity. Shards have a lot of investiture so they can form a perpendicularity whenever they want to assuming they are not busy or too invested in one place.

    Trell is Trell?

6th of the Dusk is much later. There is an eye that you click to make a spoiler hider. It is on the top bar with the color change you just used. SA spoiler That is possible but we know that. SA spoiler
  16. That was the WoB I was looking for.
  17. You can still charge spheres in Shinovar during the highstorm. Honor's perpendicularity moves according to Azure. A shard can have more then one perpendicularity at a time.
  18. Make sure your password is less obvious and Welcome.
  19. They call him passion actually. Ease of identification. He is not. He gets his followers to call him passion but he also seams to enjoy being called Odium.
  20. Could she simply be worried about her cousin getting hurt or Shallan getting involved in a scandal that would undermine her politically? They are cousins BTW.
  21. He wanted feruchemy bread out of the population entirely and Noblemen are harder to off the servants. The conclusion that TLR did not want the lines to cross was made by in book people not the narrator. Additionally, an compounder would reveal TLR's nature and power to his or her fellows so not having any is a smart choice. Sources? That does not seem like a prevailing attitude basically anywhere. I am not even sure what you are talking about. Wax hunts Set agents all over the city. Many of them could be noble for all we know and several probably are since nobles tend to be more connected and useful. Seems impractical for a largely pacific population to do so to a much larger much less pacific one. How do they know Harmony is weakening? Only a few of the oldest Kandra are dead and it is not like in an emergency they don't have the capacity to make more. It is considered from outside. The Teris are isolationist. It was also allomancy that enslaved the Teris and it is steadily being associated with things they don't like(commercialism and entertainment).
  22. With the help of Saze and I would like to point out the TLR was not tecnically evil. It says so in Historica That does not realy make sense. Feruchemy is end neutral compounding is clearly end positive. When did she argue this and how does it fall flat? Not realy. The children of Mistborn and full feruchemists are more likely twinborn. Getting the two powers to coexist in the same genome is difficult. Even if they do not know this the two goals do not have to be complementary. The Set want a full Mistborn because they can act as assassins and kill anyone easily at any time. The Teris want full feruchemists because keepers are an important part of their culture. If the Set wanted a fullborn it would probably be easier to kidnap both Mistlings and ferrings and bread them together. We know from his internal monologue that this is true. When? By Whom? This is possible. Just barely. I personally doubt it. Rashek thought any metallic art made you dominate and I do not see his views as having an impact on modern Teris society(enslaving people tends to make them hate you). Also humility is one of the Teris virtues. Woh Woh! And they are going to go about this how? Neither power is evil. It is mixing the powers that is dangerous(Quote by a certain grandmother).
  23. When did somone's eyes glow green? I think Odium's method might have something to do with pushing other shard's investiture against physical objects or souls.
  24. Which leads to some interesting theological implications whenever a Wyrn becomes deranged or if he does not have his coffee in the morning.
