Shardblades can cut through invested people fairly easily. Kaladin did not feel any resistance while killing Szeth. It is a useful tool for explanation but is woefully problematic to base an argument on it and is in fact in many ways less valid then extrapolation or exaggeration (those things that annoy you so much when I do them).
