I’m pretty sure he just meant that he found out he was gay.
-
Good point though of course we can’t know for certain since we only have one example of a corrupted mist spren . But certainly a high possibility.
-
You can’t be serious. Think about what you’re saying. We have been in lifts pov we know she is not the spy. And how would they recruit her? What could they possibly say to convince her? They could get is offer her food and I’m pretty sure she would just steal that and runoff. Circumstantial evidence? What circumstantial evidence? you have nothing. Regardless of whether she should or shouldn’t she’s having sex and to my knowledge there’s no birth control on roshar so kids for her is an availability if not now, then later, assuming her husband lives to see her again. I don’t know why you possibly think children= her personal prosperity. I mean, I get that she may not actually be pregnant now. But how does children become a metaphor for personal prosperity? I agree that this could just be something like that. It doesn’t mean she’s literally pregnant however it does open up the possibility for it. Especially with all the talk of infants earlier. we will have to keep a close eye to See if there’s any more foreshadowing
-
Actually, her calling them children makes sense when you think about it. Sja-Anat we made them into something new re-created them, they are for extended purposes, New Spren. We often refer to some thing we created as are children so why you shouldn’t the spren? I am a little confused. I thought you were saying that someone in lost metal was foreshadowed to die, but didn’t. And you were drawing a connection to the foreshadowing we have for Adolin’s death, is this not what you were saying?
-
Who are you referring too?
-
We don’t know that she could have corrupted other Spren
-
Certainly possible she is already married and presumably, sexually active. I don’t recall them having any particular on birth control yet in this world. So yes, it’s possible, likely even. Additionally, from a writing perspective, this should be the perfect time for her to be pregnant as that would make her child in his mid to early teens at the end of the time, a perfect age to start participating in the plot.

An idea for the missing Odium + Cultivation Intent
bmcclure7 replied to coolsnow7's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Fundamentally wrong rhythm of war describes it as much closer to freedom not tyranny. Odium is not the shard of domination. It has no desire to control anything. It hates it doesn’t rule. The combination will probably produce something like chaos. Ungovernable growth or perhaps malevolent growth.- 26 replies

Iyatil And Mraize are both radiant now. Do you have any guesses as to what order they might be a part of?
-
Well, it would be a Brandon Sanderson style twist that’s for certain Except for the fact that She’s a rich noble woman. lol so you’re right I think that he would want to take her under his wing if for no other reason as she would be a valuable asset.

You forget that it’s been revealed that the wind will leave as well so it’s unlikely that the night will be coming back

This would be cool, but I don’t think they ever said he was a surge binder. he had a dead blade not a living one. I think that confirms pretty much that he was not a surge binder yet. Both outcomes are interesting. I kind of would like to see a conversation between kel and shallan I’m not sure what he would think of her. And it would be interesting to find out. I think that dalinar has the dawn shard unity after his death sigzel will pick it up

We already know how they reproduce. And it seems to be only possible when the cognitive realm

We do know she was trying to make herself a God last time around by connecting to all the singers so perhaps this isn’t far off. Would be funny if the Back five is our team of heroes join forces with the new Odium to fight against the new honor (mishram )

Honestly, honestly, I’m just impressed that anyone other than me it is thread knows what those two things are. I think guns are the most likely thing that’s going to make an appearance. I don’t think we’ll see much of the other worldly magic Mainly because this is storm light introducing a new magic system only to be used once and that’s not fully explained and in the series doesn’t seem likely. we do keep seeing little bit of awakening Yes, yes, I understand that some people were some people were already talking about these concepts and for more than 50 years. But there is a difference between some people talking about it and expecting the average person to know about it. Forget public acceptance 15 years ago no one (or at least the majority of people) didn’t know what gender fluid gender non-binary or even transgender even met. I know this because I was alive 15 years ago. None of these words were in the vocabulary. And the concepts they represented honestly hadn’t even occurred to most people or at least everyone I knew. The very phrase gender norms is pretty dated. I’m old enough to remember a time when gender norm and nothing to do with your identity whether you were tomboy or a Tomgirl or something like that. But I think we spoken enough of this topic. Let’s move attention back to the book. Since we are our flame spren capable of destruction?

I want to see Sja-Anat further break the mold
bmcclure7 replied to Stark's topic in Stormlight Archive
I don’t see why you think whether she would agree with this assessment or not has any relevance either that’s what’s happening or it isn’t. I agree it’s a leap logic that she would become a bond Smith spren anything I suspect she will become a third faction -
It’s not so much this individual incident as me worried that it will become a trend. I don’t mind her having some surprises for the ghost bloods but the same should also be true, ghost bloods have cells on countless planets. He should have some surprises for her too. It just seemed like this obstacle was overcome far too easily hardly an inconvenience. Which is fine even makes sense in a way, but I’m not sure I want this trend to continue.

You’re forgetting that spren fibrals are very limited at least so far. They pretty much only do the surges. Which is useful, but I don’t think you can base your entire technological advancement around the surges at least not without being limited. Additionally, the spree would have to agree to become fabrils and for lesser spren that doesn’t seem to happen outside of shardplate which only seems to become available though a bond. If you believe that you are fundamentally ignorant. Literally 15 years ago you could’ve said non-binary online and most people would not have known what you were talking about. It’s always tempting to think that your generations issues will be timelessly relevant. But the truth is no matter how passionate you do you care about something future generations are unlikely to have strong feelings on it one way or another. Tell me what’s your thoughts on Arianism? Or monphitism? Do you have any strong opinions on whether or not Bishop should be appointed by the church or by the state? Do you even know anything about any of these issues probably not because they’re simply no longer relevant. And even if if you do, I would be surprised if you could ster up any particular passion for any of these issues.

1. You’re definitely right about aluminum. Given that they may be going to war soon against at least an entire radiant order they’d be stupid not that call for a lot of it. 2. I think you underestimate how much of an impact gavilar coming back would have. True he did technically die, but there is no president for resurrection in the succession process. And even in the best case, there was some that would argue that he is the legitimate ruler of alethcar. However, given the division that already exist in their society because of the changes then I suspect that there will be a lot of people who support him as a legitimate ruler. to make matters worse if he comes back as Odiums champion he could be given control over the homeland which would certainly raise his legitimacy. 3. Good point the midnight mother was imprisoned by a light Weaver not a bond smith. As a sidenote, did anyone feel like taking down the mask Lady was too easy? I sure hope the conflict with the ghost bloods doesn’t continue on this way. I’m hoping kel and his crew will have at least a few surprises and secret weapons up their sleeve. at the very least that they have some counter measures that infiltration I mean, there are a secret organization who specializes in infiltrating other organizations they should have some sort of plan in case they get infiltrated.

Do we know that for certain I don’t recall ever been confirmed when they invented Electrolysis only that they already have it by the time of LM. Actually, even if that was so they could still already have it. LM takes place during the time skip. And he was in the ruffs for several years and was married already for several years by LM so this definitely could be during before his time in the roughs
-
Not the Ghostbloods they already have Electrolysis
-
Didn’t think of that that’s an interesting possibility
-
Definitely a possibility. It depends whether or not the old odium’s desire to not take another shard comes from the vessel or shard. By the way, in this case, the English word vessel refers not to a ship, but to a container. That is something that holds something else.

Can anyone translate this?
