You’re missing my point my point is I don’t really care whether they’re technically human or not. My point is the clearly a different kind of human that the natives of this particular planet have not seen. They would stand out they would make the news the broadsheets will be full of stories about them. Remember the southerns they made the news was a major discovery if Golden skin people had showed up in skadril then every newspaper would be talking about them not just one nut job She was also insane, the whole point of her character was that she was a nut job that would report anything. I don’t think we can give much credence to her fairy comment. For all we know, she might believe that all blonde people are secretly fairies.
-
They were referred to as fairy people by one nut job who only referenced their hair not sink. This is not what would happen if the Iriali had actually come to Scadrel and no come into the middle of nowhere would not change this golden skin Aliens are still recognized as golden skin aliens no matter where they are

1. It’s obvious by the fact that oaths always portrayed as good in text text. Even when they are criticized, they are criticized because they are oaths not because of their content. 2. Im saying that one you think that it was wrong for him to save someone he hates because it is right. Brandon and most of us disagree with you. -
I think he has bigger problems for now

Given that Retribution is both odium and honor how would his storm not produce anything other than warlight

That maybe your thoughts but clearly given the way it is presented but Brandon doesn’t think that way and doesn’t think his readers think that way and give some exceptions like yourself it would appear he was right -
Iriail are not human and do not look human. They will be instant recognizes alien. Imagine today if even a handful of golden skinned people started walking around one of our major cities, speaking in an unknown language and wearing strange clothing. They’re telling me that wouldn’t make head lines

How do you feel about inter-species…

so many problems with this, I don’t know where to begin. 1. Spren can have physical bodies read oathbringer 2. Kal doesn’t have a physical body right now either so this should not be a barrier. 3. Did you and me read the same book? Everything about the relationship this book was pointing toward a romantic relationship. I mean, they literally were flirting half the time, including the part where she suddenly let him know that yes she indeed does have a vagina. 4. No her whole arc this book was about going to live for not JUST Kal. If it really was about not living for kal at all. Then it would’ve ended with her parting ways with him as that would’ve been the only way to complete that arc. 5. Do you even think about what you’re saying because you seem to be implying that when two people become a couple that they have to only live for the other person that they are incapable of also living for themselves. 6. Yes the relationship is good now that doesn’t mean it can’t get better. There’s another five books. There’s only really One Direction for their relationship to evolve at this point. 7. Right love doesn’t have to be romantic. I don’t know why you think this is relevant at all. 8. I should note since you brought it up that those other forms of love were not between the opposite sex ancient cultures, such as the Jews, or the Greeks did not have platonic relationships With the opposite sex with the possible exception of their mother‘s sisters and other relatives. This isn’t really relevant, but you brought this up so I felt like I should clarify. 9. Kal no longer a human he is a spren read Obringer. 10. There’s no reason to believe that a spren in physical form, cannot have children. 11. There’s no reason to believe that Harold (who by definition are spren) cannot reproduce the same way spren do (I believe there is something like shaping power or something?) -

1. Something you can be constant without you succeeded in appearing into it. It’s constant because you always strive for it. It’s a goal you’re always reaching for. Something that is clearly recognizes as the ideal as good. 2. Why they were kept doesn’t make a difference they were recognized as true as real as constant, an unchanging, good. 3. It is true that the sprint have been changing since Obringer, but it was really on display in this book with the proud honest direct and hard, Storm father replaced a cowardly sniffling liar who lived in fear of people’s opinion of him. -
I think we might even have seen some foreshadowing for this
-
Because if they were found, they’d be instantly recognized as not human and foreigners. So they must not have been found and if they were not found, they were not in wax and Wayne.

I think you hit on the problem the old book Balance the themes of returning to old patterns (Kal deciding to keep trying to protect, Dalinar reforming the KR, ) with forming new patterns (Kal rejecting depression, shal rejecting her lies) in this there was only the forming of new patterns -

“I just mean Szeth's worldview (over the past six years prior to this) was not natural or organic to him, it was willfully subverted by people who abused the trust he'd put in them once upon a time. I don't think this can comparably be put on the same level as Dalinar or Navani who I do agree DID at times bulldoze past the Stormfather and Sibling's own preferences and beliefs out of a bullheaded conviction in their own righteousness....which in their cases, stems at least in part from their history as high-ranking nobility within a literal in-world oppressor caste. Which is.....completely at the opposite end of the spectrum from Kaladin, a longtime victim of an oppressor caste and slavery system trying to reach out to somebody he - with validity - sees himself, his own past and his own struggles to regain his personhood reflected in.” 1. Did you even read the book? It made it very clear that zseth has always been the way he is from the time he was a kid and didn’t know if he should or shouldn’t move a stone. 2. Kal subject Zseth to the same torture that the cia forced on the unabomber and as a result he broke his oaths. Al under the excuse of “helping “ Zseth the entire time I wanted Zseth to just tell him to storm off. -

While I enjoyed the book I have to agreed with some of these. one of my many disappointments with Kal storyline is Nale. Nale keeps making logical arguments for his pov and instead of looking for flaws Kal just insists that Nale is crazy. That said lesser spren are animals you can’t enslave them any more than you can enclave a horse. 1.The codes of war 2. The way of kings 3. The oaths 4. The spren (pre oathbringer when the spren were less human and more living ideals) true there were themes of chance and breaking of tradition but it was balanced with the themes of stabile constants and redescovery of older traditions -

“This is a preposterous take on what I was saying. Obviously that’s not what I meant. See my above statements if you didn’t understand my intent earlier. The issue comes about when someone has the ick and decides that no one else should do that thing.” 2. No one said anything about everyone having to have the ick about something. Or that the ick justification or unjust for making moral judgments. You’re reading into our words this isn’t about morality 2. No one saying that there is not moral implications of people’s choices when it comes to sexual partners, of course in fact, I would guarantee that everyone here agrees on some level that the choice of sexual partners is moral choice. But that’s not what we’re discussing. 1. I need to read all my comments as I’ve already stated. I considered the singers to just be funny looking humans pretty much. There are other species yes but so similar to humans that doesn’t really matter. I and most people would have no problem dating a singer. I am most people would be reluctant to date a bugger. Not so much because of the hive mind but because they’re more insect than anything else. 2. My point there wasn’t so much to express this taste in human singer relationships. But to point out that there is a limit to. Our ability to sexify other species. And that it’s perfectly reasonable to say that a particular species has deviated too far from the norm of human to be sexual to you. -

1. I don’t see why you would think that I’m sure there are a lot of gay men out there who would say that the thought of having sex with women gives him the ick are you suggesting that gay men are morally against having sex with women? 2. Genetic differences correspond to physical differences the more genetically different. Something is more physically different. It is the less and less humans will want to have sex with it. Yes, I’m sure you can find some people who say that they only care about intelligence and sapience. (I don’t know why you would think that these are the only two factors that matter but OK) I’m sure many of those people however, I would still get the ick if a intelligent, talking baboon tried to hit on them. -

I’m actually fine a with human singer relationships as I pointed out to my earlier post singers are mostly human. They look human with just odd skin. Biologically, we know that they have to be similar enough to humans to interbreed with them. However, this is not doesn’t necessarily apply to every species in the cosmere or infection in general. 1. Apes is a large category. Yes, humans are apes but not all apes are human or even close to human. An ape is not a just hairy human. You would recognize one even without hair. 2. Apes are distinct genetically from each other, and from humans an intelligent ape would not be a human. 3. The genetic difference between humans and apes is significant as demonstrated by the fact that human and apes still produce at offspring at all. In many ways, singers are more human than apes are. 4. I could think of a lot of possible reasons, but that’s not what this discussion is about. We’re going off topic. No one’s debating that singers are aren’t human or that it somehow immoral for the two to interbreed. -
Possible, but then they could not be the golden haired people of wax and Wayne.
