  1. Hmm but we have no more clues. So I would say pass turn.
  2. but you could probably spike their Connection to them. YKYAS when the first you do when you finally get WLAN in your hotel room is go to 17S and post exactly that. Even though it is 1 o'clock and you have an apointment in the morning and should probably sleep
  3. @Scion of the Mists @Jondesu @luckat @recneps please make the last 2 guesses without me if I don't reply. I'm on my cousin's confirmation this weekend and I am not sure if I can come on the shard another time till the end of the countdown. I still think shardhammer is the most probable second guess but am not 100% sure. Have a nice sunday @all
  4. Sadeas, hmm? that is an interesting clue. I would guess Sigzil since he was a bridgeman in Sadeas army. For the second one I'm unsure. Perhaps Shardhammer, since Sadeas didn't have a Shardblade at the beginning though if I remember correctly he was more often seem using the Shardbow. Not sure which other answers would make sense.
  5. Thanks @Ammanas! You really didn't need to go into details if that makes people who believe uncomfortable. I really meant that I was sorry for asking to much. But still thanks for elaborating. I can see were someone might see a resemblence between the oaths of the KR and your convenants. In the end they seem both to want people to make morally guided decisions (please correct me if anything I say is completly of track). On the other hand I think the oaths of the KR seem more guided by an outside force (the spren) while yours seem really things you yourselfs plegde. (Yes I know the KR oaths can vary between KR but they still have the same underlying theme and the spren has to accept the words). I believe there is a big difference between those two things. Secondly while I can see the resemblence I don't believe it's a deliberate reference. As was already said multiple times in this thread Brandon can't completly set aside his faith and experiences when writing, so it could be that it has affected the KR oaths. But swearing to upholding specific moral principles isn't something unique to one faith. I'm not sure you can call it a reference in that way. I still think it's nice you can find a connection to your own life in his writing even if I don't think he put it there by design.
  6. Oh. I didn't know that the details were sacred. Sorry for asking.
  7. Hi and welcome. I just listened to a couple of your wife's songs and they are really good.
  8. Really? Can you tell me which scenes you mean? I'm not a mormon, but I find it really fascinating were people find references to their beliefs. I don't think it's actually deliberate. But I don't think you can really erase all references to the things you believe in from your work.
  9. I'm hoping he meant red agent and am therefore making our second guess before the time runs out. I'm going to say Gneordim. Just because I think he fits the theme of child better (since he is actually portrayed as the child of someone in the story as a main point of his character. Karata is more oriented towards children but I don't see her as much as a child). But it was a tough decision. Hope the others are ok with that.
  10. yay back to topic: @1stBondsmith I agree with you. Dalinar used the book as a symbol for his beliefs. But I don't think @MistLordever said he used it as a weapon and I also don't think he implied that in any way. Just saying. Nice catch! And it is not only in christian faith. That tale can in one way or another be found in many religions. Which is actually something I like about this. It is something almost everyone (regardless of religion) can associate with.
  11. so now you've reached the 17! But you really shouldn't beat yourself up so much. Your rap was amazing.
  12. We agree on Sebrukki. So let's make that one official. I would say we wait if Sebrukki is one of our agents and give the others a chance to chime in on the second (in my opinion more difficult) guess. @Scion of the Mists @Jondesu @luckat @recneps
  13. ok I see a couple possibilities. gneordin cett is the son of ashweather cett and therefore his child. He also supports his father in a lot of ways. So he is a good child?! Problem is he is an adult in the story. Tindwyl has had a whole lot of children. But I don't really think that is what the clue means. Sebrukki is a child working for Silence. That is definitly a solid guess. Sixth of the Dusk was named so because he was the sixth child. But I also don't think that was what he meant. Karata had a child before being taken by the Shaod and is known for sheltering children in Elantris. Though that is also not a direct link. So I guess our first guess should be Sebrukki. I'm not sure about the second one. @Scion of the Mistsif we go by the logic that gneordin is the child of Lord Cett almost every person on the board would count. Because they are all the children of someone. And in some cases we even know exactly whose. For example: Vin is the child of the Lord Prelan and when Kelsier picks her up at an age where some people would call her a child. I don't think she was meant and I think gneordin could be the second guess. I just wanted to make sure we don't asume a connection were there isn't necessarily one.
  14. ah... too bad. As a chemist myself I would have loved were the aeons based on atomic orbitals =). or even better molecular orbitals !
