"Wait!" She called out, when he walked away, ran over to the Alley, but stopped when he was enveloped by the mist, when he vanished. He needed to leave. She tightened her fingers around the coin, tried to fight the fear that rose in her throat when she looked at it, at its two sides. Store health. Whatever that meant. Slowly she backed away, the mist frightening her, just as the whole city frightened her. She was alone. She hugged herself when the thought slammed down on her and backed up, hastened back into the Hall, to his statue. It was familiar, the memory of the way he'd talked, how he'd started to explain, how he'd caught her, comforting. She sat down next to the statue, didn't touch the others things he'd left - if he wanted her to, then he would have given them to her. Another deep breath calmed her a bit and she looked down at the adress, at the key. He'd given her his house, the place he had offered her to stay. And he'd told her where to go next. The fact that she didn't know anybody again pressed down on her and she took the little book, opened it, only to find that she chouldn't read it as well. Of course. Why should he have used the woman's script for something he wrote? She put it back and then moved her legs close to her upper body, hugged them while she tried to figure out what to do next. It was quiet in the hall, the few others that were here moved reverently and she wished that they would talk, that they would do something. They fact that she wasn't even sure if she could talk to them, that most likely they spoke a language she never had heard before was threatening. How huge were the chances, that she would find someone else who spoke her language, who took the time to explain - they were slim, and she knew it. She read through the adress again, memorized it in case that she lost the slip of paper and then rested her forehead on her knees, took a deep breath. It was a new world. She was alone. She was afraid. Her hand closed around the handle of her sword when she looked at her fear, it was familiar, almost like a brother that followed her around. She considered to get up, to knock on another door, to ask strangers for the way to the scholar's guild, but instead she remained sitting, the fear that someone would look at her strangely, then turn around and walk away too strong. At least her she could hear others walking around, at least here she wasn't completely alone. The coin was warm in her fingers and she turned it around, brushed her thumb over the bowler head and the nails. What a strange currency they had in this world. With the picture of theirs gods on their coins. A reminder. He'd asked her to do her best, to try and do what is right. Try to fix a small part of the world. Slowly she unfurled her legs, pocketed the adress and the key. He had given her a home, and a last piece of advice, a place where she could find help. He'd made sure, that she wasn't completely alone. Slowly she got to her feet and looked at his statue. Her fist hit her chest in salut when she thanked his statue, instead of thanking him, then she turned around and walked towards the door leading outside.

Althea took off her sunglasses once they were descending into the dark and the bright sunlight had vanished. "Maybe." She replied and looked at the cleaver. "Given who you define as thief, we are the thieves. We stroll into territory not our own, and I doubt that everybody down there will play nice. So yes, there will be thieves and murderers." With a shrug she added, "But if you have to be afraid of them, that's a different story." She stepped out of the elevator and carefully hid her surprise at the cave in front of her. It was beautiful, stunning. She wondered how they had never found it so far. Between TUBA's tunnels and the DA, someone had hidden these caverns, and had hidden them well.

Something like that. And then a nice corruption arc and have that character get spiked several times, growing power hungry, or she'll just die at one point. Actually the last one is more likely.

Jessy shook her head in confusion. "But why us? I'm nobody special, there are far more competent people around in my time - and if it's about magic, why me and not an Asari." She was disappointed that he didn't know anything about the Reapers, but maybe, if they could travel here - maybe this world could be a place to hide? If they really came, if the myth was real. For now - she had to find a way back if she wanted to use this place.

Wita lifted another disk and grinned when she read the title. Abba. Good taste. She placed the disk on the player and switched it on, smiling happily when she heard the first beats of the music. She lowered the volume a little bit, as she didn't want to disturb the neighbours, but made sure it was still loud enough to be heard easily and then whirled around, started to dance a little. Search the room. Humming to the music she looked around. A few books, a newspaper, stools, a table. Some flowers. As she had no idea what she was looking for. She wandered over to the table, took a look at the newspaper. It was a few days old and she laughed out loud when she saw, that he had taken the time to pinch holes into it. It was funny, because it was just an old newspaper. She took it with her and took a look at the books. Old magic and rituals, The Shaman's power, and How magic influences our life. With a shrug she left them, but kept the newspaper, to show it to the others. They would most likely think it funny as well. Then she looked under the table and the stools, opened a drawer and finally, as dancing queen was over, exchanged the disk for another one.

I like that you're my twin. That makes you another far distant, but beloved cousin who is funny, incredible creative with so many unique ideas, I have no idea where you take them from, and who regularly surprises me with a plot twist you add like it's nothing you need to think about (and of course in that case nobody can complain when I follow you around )

Sure. We started to asign ourselves places in the family of the Alleyverse. Or rather most of the time others wrote down where they saw you, which attributes fit you. In the end most of us had a place in the family tree, at least those active back then had.

Right!!! That was last ookla season

I am one of those. Someone named me far distant cousin and another one Itiah's twin, and I'm not sure how this fits together with his positions

I'd like to rp a character that mostly tries to survive. I'm not really sure what they'll be, but maybe without any investiture at all.

Mike nodded. "Me to. But I fight with a knife." For a while he was silent, tried to understand how things had gone so terribly wrong, then he straightened up. There wasn't much for him to do, but he could follow his orders and help solve this. Surprised at his own thought, because it was his own, and didn't belong to an animal he looked over at Lusk. "It's your call, sir. We should be enough to get hold of one person." @I think I am here.

@AonEne @BookishOcelot @Hope Spren @Wyndlerunner "Got you." Grimly Shana stared at the table cloths she had found in one of the dressers. They were white, at least a part o them. Some others were green, blue, red, with a sigh she started to sort through them. Green, slightly dirty, but if she used the other side it would work, white wasn't ironed, but she doubted that anybody cared about that. Red and blue, were the wrong colours. She continued to search until she found more white and finally had enough and started to cover their tables. She felt calmer, now that she did something, that she didn't fail again. It was a good feeling, it distracted her from her envy, from the urge to head back to the kitched and dump all her thoughts on them here and now. Later. She had promise a party and a party she would make.

Temeria stared at the ring in surprise, when he placed it in her hand. It felt cool and strange symbols covered it. Mac had changed when he did something with it, his body, his hair, but she had no idea why and she doubted that she would understand it. He had changed, something in this place had changed him. Ever since he looked at his statue, he had been in a rush, as if there was some place where he needed to go. She pocketed the ring and looked at the bones on the ground. With a sigh she pocketed her sword and then moved the skeleton back into the coffin. the lid was too heavy to be moved, but at least it wasn't lying on the ground anymore. Slowly she followed him upstairs again, blinked against the brighter light. He was standing in front of his statue again, looking at it. Unsure if he wanted to be on his own, she stopped, looked around. A part of her wanted to leave this tomb, this place of memories she hadn't shared, she couldn't even understand, but to be alone in the city, the thought was daring and it frightened her. So she stayed where she was, waited. @MacThorstenson

Yes he was. Way too nice, always smiling. Skadi hates him.

Sagitta frowned at the words, then she inclined her head in acceptance. Without the threat of the animal, without the blood shed together - whatever they had was lost. The gods had taken it away. It had been a good feeling to find some peace in their world controlled by war. But if that wasn't the path meant for them, then it wasn't their path. Did the gods like the war? The bloodshed for their nations? She cut the thought off. It was stupid. The gods cared. "You can leave." She offered Zura calmly. "You are by no means a prisoner." "In contrast, I think I have to ask you to leave, if you aren't able to spend the night here without bloodshed." She made no move to put force behind her words. If Zura left, it might be her death. Price had warned them clearly, but they couldn't spend the night like this. She couldn't. And she suspected, that without her presence, Price and Zura would already be fighting. @Lunamor

Mike nodded hastily, his hands clutching each other. "Of course, I should recognize him." He wished Porcupine was here, she would know how to behave in a way, that appeared harmless. He fidgeted a bit, then looked at Mari. "What are you specialized on?" @kenod
