  6. The bartender pales at the sight of Titus's crystal claws, of his rippling muscles, of his black eyes. He hands him a large jug. Titus growls at him, a deep bestial growl, and the bartender backs up further. Titus smiles around at the tavern, sharp teeth flashing. I hope one will pick a fight. Just let them try... I'll show them who's alpha. He retreats to the back of the tavern, and pops the top. He used to barely be able to handle violet. But with his current features... horneater white is the only thing strong enough to make him even slightly tipsy. He takes a swig, allowing the amberite to spread. It cloaks him in something like a cacoon, and threads spread across the floor, the wall behind him. Rapidly, he is surrounded in crystal, the corner turning into just him, the amerite, and the alcohol. I'm just... tired. I'll get back to it soon enough. His arm moves slugishly, covered in Amberite as it is, to his mouth, and he takes a massive chug, draining the jug to half. A couple of thugs approach the edge, poking at it. But the memory of the man inside is enough to keep them at bay. For now.
  7. i'm very curious as to what the context for this is...
  8. I cannot tell which one you meant to put in there @Ookla the Maybe-Existent
  9. THIS WILL HAVE DE SPOILERS: I just (literally just) had a theory about the Delver's. As someone on the general thoughts thread said, they weren't, as far as we can tell, around in Defending Elysium. And there is so much that interests me about that. While it might just be a writing flaw, as brandon wasn't aware he was going to do that, I refuse to believe that. Brandon is the type of author who makes an In World explanation for any flaw in his writing. He has done this. So here's the theory: humans (or possibly something else, more on that later) became the Delvers. They had to gain incredible power, but from what we've seen of humans, they would be so warlike that learning all the possible battle based things that Cyto could do wouldn't surprise me. It could have been just one at first, and the warped mind led to the new Delvers not remembering anything about humanity. It could have been part of a battle plan, turning them all into Delvers (I doubt this one). It could have been a TLR situation, where one superpowerful Cyto turned all the most powerful cytonics into delvers. It could have simply been over time, more powerful cytos became delvers. Here's some things I have that back it up, especially humans: What changed after DE? Humans. Humans expanded throughout the Galaxy, and started to cause chaos (even if my theory is wrong, it's clear that humans caused the Delvers). They tried to take over the galaxy several times, which would be quite a big change. Spensa thought she was becoming Delver-ish. This could happen to all Cyto's. This could just be a side effect of the Delvers in space. But what if it was the way human psychology reacted to powerful cytonic abilities? We've been shown that cytonic abilities don't exactly make people stable, they have quite the opposite effect. So maybe super powerful cytonic ability warped it even further, to full on Delver level. Humans summoned delvers. Not much, but do we have any explicit proof that they existed before this? Something had to happen to create the delvers. Something as big as them would have been noticed, and commented upon, by Jason. But he didn't. Therefore, in all likelihood, they didn't exist. My secondary theory for how they would have formed: AIs, grown too powerful, with too much cytonic technology, went all Eldritch horror, and humans banished them to the nowhere. This would explain why AIs were forbidden to such an extent, why MBot had such clear restrictions, such a powerful subroutine to stop him from going beyond his limits. It might also be why the Delvers are attracted to AIs- not the cytonics on them, but the fact that they came from AIs. While it could have been another race, I find this extremely unlikely. It just doesn't make sense that they coincidentally came into existence after humans went into the galaxy. So yeah, that's my theory. -Ark1002

  12. Titus grins where he stands, perched atop a metal spire. A house he was working on, a smaller Kredik Shaw. He had seen the drawings, and he wants his manor to replicate that. Titus growls, and throws himself off of the spire, pulling himself toward the side of another wall, a wooden building, but somewhat rich, so it had plenty of metal. Hopefully they weren't in there, because there was now several knives imbedding themselves as far as they could go in the wall. Titus growls where he stands, claws stabbing into the wall. He stands up straight, sideways on the wall, pulling on a plethora of sources. He closes his eyes, and breathes in deeply, smelling the air. They manifest, a strong smell like oak and spices, a smell strong with blood, a smell of... he grins, and his eyes shoot open, and amberite grows over his hand, in a web up his arm, on his back, and back down the other side, clothing the other hand in the same crystal. He breathes in again. A smell of alcohol. He is thirsty. And he doesn't have any money. So he would have to intimidate for it. He jumps off the wall, and breaks into a sprint, his extremely strong body propelling him, each footfall echoing loudly in his ears. He pulls himself forward, and that made him go even faster. He reaches the bar door, and rips the door off its hinges. He stands there, and breathes in again, the smell of alcohol, of piss, of human sweat, mingling. The smell of life. He roars, and it echoes throughout the tavern. He steps into the room, each step of his clawed feet scratching along the floor. He steps up to the bartender. "Bring me alcohol. Horneater white. Or everyone in this tavern will regret the day they were born."

  14. You seem to be confused at the definition of Godmodding. NPCs are NPCs, therefore unable to be godmodded. But things like killing them in massive quantities, yes, I would ask about. But rioting is something I can do to PCs as well. So there's not going to be an issue with NPCs. (don't mean this to be rude. First sentence was sarcastic, the rest was explaining) Georgia-Grace quickly slid into her familiar routine of lurking in the shadows, unseen. She scaled a wall in the corner, rolling onto the top of a building. She pulled out her sketchbook and began to draw the layout of the Complex, so the others would have a perfect map. She had always been good at this sort of stuff.
  15. i personally wouldn't give the extra F-Zinc much points at all, if any, as he's already a compounder
  16. I knew someone would make that joke, but I wasn't gonna bring it up just in case...
  17. who exactly is AnonymousDinosaur? They've never posted, never done anything really, and haven't been around for years.
  18. So, to expand more on what Woodrack said, which isn't 100% true: we don't want to go into the bad drugs. Smoking is fine, alcohol is fine, but something like cocaine or one of the really extreme ones is gonna be a no, likely. Even worse is drug dealing. That has a lot of problems with it. Weed might be fine. Just none of the really dangerous stuff.
  19. Georgia-Grace nodded, her jacket swishing as she walked up to the gates. "Come. Time is valuable." As she approached the gate, she burned her Zinc, making one of the guards more tired, another more happy, another bored. She had been practicing her Rioting, and this seemed to be going well. She stepped right up, to the gate, turned for a second to look at the rest of the party, then stepped into the building.
  20. congrats on your status as the fourth god beyond!

  21. For the longest time i would have said Cultivation, but then... Ambition is very true to my personality, wouldn't do much
  22. Ark managed to trade three bottles of horneater white to buy half the stocks in the Breadmunk Empire. He did this by giving a fourth bottle, as a gift, to the Breadmunk he was buying from first, so he was so drunk he accepted.
  23. Georgia-Grace walked up to Leta, face straight. "I've heard the guild is performing another heist. Is it too late to join?" @Sorana @I think I am here. @whoever else
