  1. Another thread to be locked! Congratulations to all of the Killers this game for winning the day and slaughtering the guests at what should have been a nice dinner party. Thanks to Kasimir for GMing. This was a fun game to watch, and I'm sure even more entertaining to play. As always, if anyone would like to try their hand at running a game, please get ahold of Wilson, Devotary of Spontaneity, Elbereth, Araris Valerian, or myself, or post in the GM Signups & Discussion Thread. Not only will we get you added to the list, but we'd also be more than willing to help out in any way we can. You can also ask questions and get some hints and feedback from everyone in our Art of Game Creation thread. With all the games that we've run so far, we have plenty of experienced GMs that can help you refine any game you're thinking about. If you would rather keep some detail secret, or are self-conscious about posting in thread (there's really no need to be; while we do slaughter each other, we are very polite about it), then I'm sure one of our fantastic committee members (Amanuensis, STINK, Sart, Fifth Scholar, Straw, Haelbarde, and Young Bard) would be more than willing to help you out in private. Thanks again to everyone that played, and we look forward to killing seeing you in future games!
  2. Congratulations again to the Diagramists, nearly all of whom survived to the very end! Thanks to Straw for GMing this rerun of LG13. All the active players and spectators really helped make this fun for everyone both in and outside the game. As always, if anyone would like to try their hand at running a game, please get ahold of Wilson, Devotary of Spontaneity, Elbereth, Araris Valerian, or myself, or post in the GM Signups & Discussion Thread. 3. Congratulations to the Obligators. You successfully killed the Skaa uprising and once again made the people fear the true power of the Lord Ruler! A huge thank you goes to Orlok for running this game, and to both Stink and Rae for helping. 4. It's past time to lock this thread. Congratulations to the PRE Operatives for their win, despite having some really conniving elims to work against! 5. Hats off to the Constabulary for winning the day! But the Criminals should also be congratulated for being the first to remove elim!Straw from the game through an execution. That's a big accomplishment. Thanks to A Joe in the Bush for GMing, and to everyone who kept the game active enough to reach 61 pages total. 6. Congratulations to the Mutineers, Elbereth, The Archivist, Sart, Zillah, and Arraenae! You efficiently outlasted the Crewmembers and even had a few members alive to tell the tale! 7. It's past time to lock these threads. Congratulations to the Students for removing the threat of the Skindancers. Thanks to Elbereth and Little Wilson for GMing such a massive undertaking of a game. I know I enjoyed it immensely and look forward to another run of KKC one day. 8. It is beyond time to close these threads! [Placeholder for congratulating unknown winners? Maybe everyone lost? Everyone won? I do not know enough about Wheel of Time to guess at the result, but I can see everyone died!] As always, if anyone would like to try their hand at running a game, please get ahold of Wilson, Devotary of Spontaneity, Elbereth, Araris Valerian, or myself, or post in the GM Signups & Discussion Thread. 9. We'll give Mist and Experience a day or so to respond, but you can start prepping to run yours, I think. If you haven't already, send the rules to the committee for approval and hopefully we'll get signups posted in the next week.
  10. *Cough* @Fifth Scholar *cough* We're stalled on MR41 which doesn't have an aftermath.
  11. I'm updating the spreadsheet now. I'm going to mark Kynedath, Zillah, and BR as busy since we haven't heard from them in some time, and that lets us free up the top spots in the MR section. Also, all of your requests should be filled in now. If I am missing something, please ping me with a quote of the original request so I can make sure it gets in the right spot.
  12. I have this almost entirely to blame for me deciding Mat was the Tineye. Somehow I reached the right conclusion from a faulty assumption that you were the Watchman. It was at least aided by Mat's perfect voting record if you don't count the vote on me. I was the Starling, though, so you'll have to forgive him for that. Yeah, I wish I'd been more open about my suspicion in the thread, but I didn't want to give too much of an opening for village trolling on our actual suspicions. I wish I had been able to talk in the doc with them, but it did make a fun little challenge at the end. I'm somewhat sad I was elected so early. The challenge of Starling was a fun one, so I wish I'd have been around longer to keep Mat more guarded about who they could trust. Anyways, great game! Thanks for running it, Kas. And congrats to the village!
  13. To my teammates: The reason I suspect 4 is because of 5's statement. Fifth's votes for all turns so far were on Steel and myself for elect, Striker, Alv, and Mat for WL. Then there's the uncanny voting of 4, which C1 was the only turn they voted on an elim known to the Tineye. A cycle that easily could have been an attempt at distancing from the role (edit: which is exactly the kind of play I'd expect from 4). From a watchman's perspective, Fifth's votes would have been on two elims after my flip, since the Informant is in that collection of votees. 1 is also worth considering because of their voting record as well.
  14. It's good to be back among my favorite folk. Thank you all so much for electing me. I plan to do great things with the position. Hey, uh, @Archer, how did you know Fifth voted on two elims? EDIT: To my teammates: 1. Agreed and maybe? I have thoughts. 2. Agreed 3. Agreed. See above. 4. 4. (1 and 2 have a perfect record, so they're worth considering too)
  15. Definitely! Just let us know what format you'd want (LG, MR, or QF). If you don't reskin it to be Sanderson, you'll need a non-Sanderson pass. There are enough of those floating around you should be able to ask someone for one.
  16. I haven't seen a whole lot from Mat this turn that makes me super confident in that vote, though I'd rather have him than Szeth. I really don't like the idea of electing Szeth as I'm still getting a weird vibe from their stance on Striker, who I tend to trust a bit more for the same reason TJ had offered before he was elected. I'm going to back Striker for now, though I'm willing to back to Mat if others are willing to go that route.
  17. I agree, which is why I said that a hammer (which traditionally involves more than just one player on the team) wouldn't be plausible until lylo. In any circumstance, we're likely to get the top candidates removing votes to make sure they get through regardless of alignment. Village will do it out of fear that they're up against an elim who will do it. In that case, you'll probably still end up with a tie (depending on where those votes are, because it's not guaranteed to be on the other person), and we're back at square one with consequences for a hammer. This brings up another point. We should probably keep a close eye on the target for our top IC candidates' votes. If they're on the other top candidate, there's a good possibility of a potential last-minute vote shift to get elected. (thanks!) True, but as in D1s of games I've actually played lately, I haven't voted until later. I know that's not the best way to do things for analysis later, but I want a chance to actually get some kind of read on people before throwing out votes. So on to my thoughts. Which is problem because I'm so used to trying to pin down those I really don't trust (since I don't trust anyone, ever), that I don't know if I can figure out anyone I would actually trust. Still don't trust Szeth. His interactions with Striker have me edgy about Striker, too. Starting to not like Archer. I like Tani and what she says, but I do want to caution against trusting her just because she knows the style of game. That does not inherently mean she's village. It's like trusting Alvron because he's played a lot of SE. I'm still down with making her WL, though. Sidenote: What a post to make for your 1,000th post. I guess I'm okay with TJ. I haven't seen anything from him that makes me outright suspicious, and I don't think we should aim for ties. That just makes things muddy.
  18. Hammering will be as effective in this game as in other games. Which is to say, not at all effective until lylo. Ties early on aren't inherently a bad thing. I don't know if I agree with the statements that it's more likely to get us a villager elected (unless we have one vote on everyone, then statistically, yes, it's more likely), but it also doesn't give elims a chance to hammer without consequence.
  19. "We are not skaa! The Survivor and the Ascendant Warrior did not free us from tyranny just for us to be treated like this!" I stamp my foot down on the small box which helps elevate me above the crowd - though barely because I am usually a foot shorter than the rest. "Starrick cannot crush the spirit of survival any more than the Lord Ruler could when the Survivor fought." I pay no attention to the crowd. If I do, I will falter. I know there are some there working for Starrick. I know I'm putting my life at risk, but every day working in Irontown is a risk. A risk I'll be maimed by machinery, scalded by slag, or beaten by brutes. Today is the day that ends. "By the Survivor, we will fight! We will win! And if you plan to smother our movement, know we will not be the last. There will always be someone to take up this flag and fight for freedom!" I throw my fist into the air and release a primal cry. If the crowd joins me I do not hear, for I only hear my own scream and the pounding of my heart. --- Hello everyone! It's good to be back in a game. I'm hoping to be more active and involved, but I'm also working nights, so I'm more likely to be talkative on something closer to TJ's regular schedule. I'm getting a pretty good vibe from Tani. I don't trust anyone yet enough to vote for them to be elected, though. I'm a bit suspicious of Szeth for that severe and quick trust in Striker, who is usually suspected by everyone D1, so I'm less likely to vote for either of them.
