  1. Yeah, I could see "Lifelight" working as more of an ambient Investiture kind of a deal.
  2. Quick question @Argent : How do you think that the potential '3rdlight' talked about in recent WoB's would fall into this categorization of Roshar's Investiture? Do you think it might somehow be related to the functioning of the Old Magic?
  3. To quote Sesame Street, "Yes I'd like to visit the moon, but I don't think I'd like to live there"
  4. James looked on in utter horror, "Almighty above" he whispered, "It's awful"
  5. I'm not very external with showcasing emotion, so I don't think I actually cried during any Cosmere read except Oathbringer. (Too much emotion) also, Honorable Non-Cosmere mention for A Memory of Light
  6. "I for one," James chimed in, "agree with Flid." As he fled behind the newly formed wall. "I know the past can hurt", James said, "But we need to focus on the now."
  7. All of the praises, all of the praises!
  8. Let the fun commence By that I mean, all this crazy which release day is correct stuff
  9. Is Stormlight your only Brandon series at this point?
  10. James fought as hard as he had ever fought in his life, the Stormlight in his veins providing the only edge he had. "Light above!" he cursed under his breath as more and more of the shadows fell into position, "Draug!" he shouted, "How do we stop them?" @xinoehp512
  11. Thus is our treaty written, thus is our agreement made
  12. Thanks you guys, it was a real achievement for me, and something I'll be proud of till the day I die (or lose my memory of it, which I hope never happens)
  13. These WoBs are so juicy that you could make a lifetime's supply of Orange Juice with them
  14. Apologies for double posting, however, I have had muse strike yet again Presenting- Falcon in the Dive, as sung by Lord Perrin Goldeneyes Edit: 5/22/19 I have had more ideas strike me yet again, So I now present 'Dear Thom Merrilin' a lyrical parody of 'Dear Theodosia' (Heavy spoilers here, so if you somehow are reading this without finishing at least Knife of Dreams, don't read this)
  15. Certainly magnificent! it also certainly fits within the trend of Nalthians being somewhat more scientific about Investiture.
  16. I just passed my math course and obtained the college credit necessary to never touch a math test again!
  17. It would also give you a good amount of time to refine it, and also make it truly special to give it to the man himself in person
  18. Following Shana's lead, James ran into the fray, quarterstaff in a primarily defensive stance. "For Frodo!" he cried out, and went to work. Swinging the quarterstaff from foe to foe. Some never rose again, but in the chaos of the fight, others escaped.
  19. You could always try giving it to them as a gift at a signing.
  20. It's super unique
  21. Well, given that this thread exists, I think I'll throw in a bit of Wheel of Time poetry I wrote back in September. (There's no Spoilers) I would definitely list Tolkien, and Robert Frost as foremost among my poetic influences.
  22. I can't believe that I just read, and enjoyed a math based magic system. What has my life come to? (I'm not a math person)
