  1. (Her Middle name should be James)
  2. Mat is the classic Rogue character type. outwardly uncaring, but a heart of gold on the inside. Some people don't like that, and that's fine. I never found the way he treated women to be overly egregious, I saw him more as a 'Ladies Man', than as a 'Player'
  3. I agree!
  4. I laugh and clap my hands in delight, whilst my wallet composes a eulogy for its contents
  5. Nintendo is winning E3 right now! Fire Emblem, and BoTW 2!!!!
  6. When one asks, "do you want to build a snowman?", it is legally obligated that the intended response is "come on, let's go and play." as dictated by the laws of Disney song reference
  7. Ooh, I forgot about Androl and Pevara! They're also great, and since they're both old-ish, they're also actually an old married couple.
  8. Best WoT ship by far! even when they aren't married, they're such an old married couple
  9. Second on the Gawyn bit. How do you feel about Nynaeve?
  10. I wouldn't blame you if the 1st half of the first book is boring
  11. I second that opinion, it's absolutely beautiful, and fully transformative.
  12. RIP @AonEne not reading WoT, and discovering all the glorious ships. (Not to mention that Jordan's writing Heavily influenced Sanderson's) (Or the beautiful character arcs)
  13. James smiled as he played, somehow, Pokemon had always been able to calm him down. James The Nightwatcher sent You need to fix what happened down there, that was most definitely not uniting. "No, Nightwatcher, Luther needs to understand." James said, with a finality bordering on intensity, "He can't see the forest for the trees, and it's not healthy for him, or for the rest of us. We aren't recruit soldiers, we're high schoolers, for Light's sake!" He shook his head, "No, I can't fix it. Not until he realizes the unhealthiness of his attitude towards this whole affair"
  14. I agree with this wholeheartedly. Shu-Dereth is not an evil religion, as Sanderson portrayed with Hrathen. It's actually one of my favorite things about Sanderson's writing as a whole, this nuanced, realistic approach to religion.
  15. Man, the Switch has been killing it with indies for me. I just picked up Hyper Light Drifter yesterday, and been (struggling) going through Hollow Knight (Pumped for the sequel). And Celeste is just a good game, with even better messaging.
  16. So, it turns out I'm now a Spinner. This is great, because Chromium I think is one of the cooler metals. And my KotC character is a Spinner, so that's cool.

  17. James sat down at his desk, no longer shaking, but still emotionally on edge from his confrontation with Luther. James, The Nightwatcher sent, pleadingly, You need to calm down. I can't believe I'm saying this, but read Wheel of Time if that's what it takes! James conceded the point, and pulled out his DS (Somewhat obsolete, but James swore by it). He proceeded to boot up Pokemon: Diamond, and flopped back on his bed, and let the game wash over him. "It's just" he said to no one in particular, "Sometimes it feels like Luther only sees the war, and not the people who have to fight it." he shook his head in pity, "It's like he doesn't realize that people's emotional needs are far more important than training for battles."
  18. At Last! I can upvote this masterpiece of storytelling.
  19. There's a moment in the Last Battle chapter of Wheel of Time, that just got to me, and I was just sobbing.
  20. On my most recent re-read, I used my TFE Leatherbound to read. They can take a lot, so I wouldn't be worried about the 'sacred' factor
