"I don't know, I personally think, that refusing to drop the gun, is nearly resisting arrest in their eyes" James whispered, sarcasm leaking into his voice like water from a faucet. Then the gun hit the ground next to him, and he gave a jolt of surprise.

James awoke to a sharp nudge from Jamie, and came fully aware, as she and the policeman argued about a concealed weapons permit. "Jamie, just put down the dang gun." He said, in a sharp whisper he hoped only she would hear. @Dr. Dapper

"Well so much for that plan." James muttered sarcastically. He prepared to stand his ground against the oncoming Voidbringers, when a flash illuminated the field, and a Man's voice yelled out: "EVERYONE ON THE GROUND!!" "That would appear to be the police." James noted, and gave a single chuckle before fainting from the exhaustion and stress. Well that can't be good, The Nightwatcher noted.

As a bird lover, I am currently dying of happiness! these are so good! Far better than my incredibly meager drawing skills. -
I have a super low prescription glasses, for very minor nearsightedness. I can essentially live without them, but they do improve my quality of life. I also happen to think I look good in them.

Lightnings flashed from the sky, and shouts came from the field. James muttered an oath under his breath, "I have to help." he said turning to Ashlyn. "Try not to die while I'm gone." You really should draw me The Sword said I'm good at destroying evil. "I don't think so, my friend." James said, and he un-scabbarded the sheathed sword and rushed into battle. A Voidbringer appeared, blocking his path, and James swung the blade, taking the Voidbringer across the head, and very likely concussing it. He noted Jamie on the field and rushed toward her. She was, after all, very well trained in combat, and could probably give him a lowdown on the situation. "What in Damnation's flames is going on here?!" He asked in a half serious, half rhetorical fashion. @Dr. Dapper

"Well, that's unfortunate." James sighed. "If anyone trys to kill you- shoot them." he offered.

"Good plan" James said, wishing to high heaven that he had clothes other than his tuxedo to fight in. "Shoot the people with glowing red eyes." he added, just so no one else got hurt. He steadied himself, the black sword scabbarded across his back, and began to run.

James returns the smile, and says "Well that depends on whether you want your car to be potentially wrecked by demonic void monsters."

After a heart-pounding sprint through the parking lot, James finally arrived at a car that matched Ashlyn's description. "Well, I'm no track and field athlete." he said to himself, wry smirk touching his face.
