James grimaced as the 'Knight-mares' as he had dubbed them, grew ever closer. He imagined himself holding a quarterstaff, and there it was. "Suitably non-lethal" he decided, and held himself in a ready stance.

Was Kelsier racist? No. Was Kelsier prejudiced? Oh storms yes! I fall more into the classist camp- Kelsier was against the aristocracy. His P.O.V.'s don't seem to portray any fixation or even care for the minor physical differences between Skaa and Nobles, i;e the birth rate issue. His actions to me seem more comparable to the French Revolution than they do to racist hate crimes, i;e the KKK.

Looking at the dream monsters, James smirked. "Unfortunately for you, there are ways to fight without fighting" He began to glow with Stormlight afire in him, and walked up to where the others were standing. "Time to dance with Jak' O the Shadows" he whispered.

It seems Brandon is coming to Germany
Wyndlerunner replied to Nivallo's topic in Events and Signings
So will the general population ever be able to view these WoBs? Or will they always remain hidden to appease European legalities? -
James let himself flow back to his own headspace Reality Shifted once more He opened his eyes and found himself back near the house. "That will never not be nauseating" he declared, and found a place to sit down. @Sorana @AonEne @Dr. Dapper @Lunamor

Anyone else got any suggestions for other songs?

"I'm assuming you mean 'home' as the waking world?" James asked, averting his eyes from their kiss- for their privacy. "Because, probably just waking up should do the trick.

Magic Systems and the Dark One's Domain
Wyndlerunner replied to Turin Turambar's topic in The Wheel of Time
I attribute death to the Creator, after all, Life and Death are inseperable. -

Since we have a 'Cosmere the Musical' here on the Shard, and given that creative muse struck me, I present WoT: The Musical! To kick things off The King George songs, as sung by Elaida Sedai

Magic Systems and the Dark One's Domain
Wyndlerunner replied to Turin Turambar's topic in The Wheel of Time
I don't think the point of the Dark One as a character was to be a 'God' as it were in the way of Morgoth or Sauron, but rather as a force personified. A darkness created by the presence of Light. Dark One is unable to change, unlike a god, who would be capable of change. Added on to that, I just don't see a pantheon kind of vibe within the story's symbolism. (Heavy emphasis on halves- Saidin and Saidar, Sul'dam and Damane, Aes Sedai and their Warders, Even the two halves of the White tower. Dichotomy) -
While Thanos is on the mind, I rewatched Infinity War recently (Thank You Netflix!) and I noticed some definite Stockholm Syndrome going on between Thanos and his 'daughters' Anyone else see it like that?

Check out the Cosmere the Musical thread, There's something almost precisely like what you described somewhere in there (and the thread is just a good time.)

"Yes!" James whooped happily, "Pretty much exactly like how they did it in Wheel of Time!" When can I expect the Fanboying to start? The Nightwatcher asked I'd like to know so I can leave before it happens

Alrighty then, so here's how it went down. I joined my school band playing clarinet whilst in junior high- I had a great teacher, who we'll call Mr. Ducks for privacy's sake. Anyways, I loved playing the clarinet, and everyone was super friendly(for the most part). I loved it so much I decided to continue playing at a high school level. This is where the entity I shall only refer to as 'Mango' comes in. He was my first high school band director. It wasn't until 11th grade that I realized he was creating and encouraging a super toxic environment. He encouraged, and outright participated in the general catty-ness between band members, and was genuinely rude to a lot of people (Many of my good friends left the program because of this). He didn't care about us growing as musicians, or even having fun- he cared about getting a 'Superior' rating at festival. He showed obvious favoritism towards people in the Marching Band, and was just generally a volatile human being. He was the kind of band director who expected you to put band above everything else- like nothing else should matter in your life. Anyways, he was just kind of a garbage teacher, and I'll go so far as to say a sub-par human being. Thankfully, I stuck it out, and I've had a new band director this year, who is a wonderful human being
