  1. “Good,” Rob said. “Though I have to admit, I’m not used to people asking me that question.” And if they did, Rob would hide it anyway. Like he always did. “Just a small headache.” And migraines. And complete exhaustion. It had been an effort to even sit up. And the fact that for some reason he was drawing flames in his sketchbook, without even noticing. What was that? “Nothing too serious,” he said. “Why do you ask?”
  2. Rob was laying on his back, on his mattress/bed, looking upwards, deep in thought. Why was Ben here? Maybe to check that he’d healed everything. “Come in, Ben.” Rob said, sitting himself up on the mattress, ignoring the headache that followed the action.
  3. “When someone says to not follow them, don’t.” Max said, looking Neo dead in the eyes. “And when that person’s scouting and you’re trying to help them, try not to do that while glowing.” He sighed. “But it’s alright, this is your first mission? You’ve got time to learn.” But still, they couldn’t afford too many mistakes, especially when dealing with someone as apparently crafty as Vesuvius.
  4. Max frowned. “He went looking for you, took off before we could say anything. You didn’t see him?”
  5. Max looked at Althea. “Do you think it’s wise to just let a kid like that loose with no offensive Investiture?” He looked back but the kid had already skated off. “Should we go after him?”
  6. Abel paced back and forth. He sighed. “That’s fine, but when are we going off Corislain?”
  7. Max nodded, leaning against a wall and immediately standing up straight when something stained his coat. He looked to the thieves. “Should we ask them about Vesuvius?” He whispered.
  8. Max looked at her. “Yes, I’ll send someone.” He looked to Devaan and the thieves’ conversation. “Though we don’t have to do it to all of them, I guess. If they’re just thieves, they won’t have any motive to tell Frob.”
  9. Up in the sky? Lusk went to the nearest window and looked down. Indeed, there was a storm beneath them. “There’s been a floating base this whole time?” He looked down. “No need to show me around, I’ll figure it out.” He looked at Zokora again. “Send my regards to the Righthand and the Leader.” He turned back. What was his position even called? There was the Righthand, the Leader, and him. Was he the Lefthand? He shrugged. He would find something out.
  10. Max stepped in front of them, trying to block them with his staff. “We should knock them out, and chain them. We can’t risk them going around telling people who we’re looking for.”
  11. Lusk followed her into the gate. “Yes, nothing I find better than a good old meeting.”
  12. Alask nodded. That made sense. The random spikers on the streets wouldn’t even touch Alask’s when they realised what was in them. Maybe a guild had the resources to help them. But... a guild. They weren’t a trustworthy lot anyway. “Thanks,” Alask said. He heard screaming in a corner or the room and he looked to see Nekorb, running from something. “Nekorb!” Alask called out. “Get over here!”
  13. Lusk placed a hand where she gestured, smiling slightly. He could get used to this. “Where does it lead to?” He asked, gesturing to the oathgate-like structure. “Someplace exciting, I hope.”
  14. Alask nodded, the woman had begun smiling and chuckling. She didn’t seem so bad for someone from a guild, but they all seemed like that anyways. “I only mean for one rumour,” Alask said, lowering his voice. “Can you cure it? Cure the spikes?” “Alask, what are you talking about?” Shez said in his head.
  15. Max hesitated, cursing himself. Criminals were criminals, she was only giving this reaction because he’d Rioted it. But he hadn’t Rioted her to lie, this must have still been truth. Gritting his teeth, he unsummoned Sethramir and grabbed his staff, stepping back and swinging for her head. She didn’t have to die or lose a limb, maybe a knockout was all that was needed.
  16. Lusk nodded, walking forwards and grabbing the doorhandle, pushing and trying to open it.
  17. “Rust and Ruin,” Max cursed, beside Althea in an instant. “You ok?” He looked where the bolt had come from and sent a sharp pulse of depression into the attackers. Not fear, that would make them run away. Anger would make them fight harder. So sadness would have to do. He ran at one of the attackers with Sethramir, trying to swing at the legs, to subdue them.
  18. The woman stared at Alask and he stared back. It was almost a challenge, but one Alask knew he couldn’t win. He was sure an argument with her would end like it had with Berk - going around in circles with no ground being made. “That’s good,” He said simply in reply. He thought he saw Nekorb in the crowd and he looked up sharply, but it was no one and he looked back at the woman. He didn’t know what to think. She’d asked for spikes. Had her procedure been like Alask’s? Screaming until his throat couskn any more, strapped to a table, nothing to stop the pain? Maybe not. Maybe so. “Are the rumours true, then?” He asked. “What they say about spikes, about the guild that hands them out.”
  19. Alask looked at the woman again, his posture changing to something more cautious. Spikes. Was she tested on, experimented on like him? They must have done a lot to her. Or, she was part of the guilds. Specifically the ones that did these... experiments. The topic of discussion switched to Nekorb. “He wouldn’t have left,” Alask said. “He doesn’t know where to go.” He looked back to the woman with the spikes. “Did you... ask for them?” He asked, vaguely gesturing to her.
  20. Lusk nodded, slowly smiling. They’d chosen him, to be the third member in their leadership circle. Him? Thy must have really been desperate. He chuckled. “Okay, I accept.” He looked around. “What now?”
  21. Lusk paused. He looked Zokora straight in the eyes, to judge whether it was a test or not, a lie or not. After holding the stare he spoke. “So, this is... what? An offer to lead the Ghostbloods, alongside the Righthand and Leader?” Was there a catch? There had to be a catch. “What’s the catch?”
  22. Lusk noticed the change of tone and focused on her words, his own tone becoming more serious. “You have my word,” he said, seating himself opposite to her.
  23. Lusk looked around, he had not seen Oasis in a while, it looked like the rebuilding effort had gone successfully. He frowned as Zokora led him into a meeting room. He followed her “You know, if you wanted to excommunicate me this could’ve been done at the Republic.”
  24. “Fabrial?” Wilhelm asked. “Oh, you mean your gemstone ettmetals. Maybe, though if I remember none of them give a white light, correct?”
  25. Zokora. Lusk wondered what planet the name was from. “Fine,” he said, crossing his arms and following her.
