    Max nodded, trying to help her up, his hands gripping hers. “We’re all broken messes,” he whispered just to her, winking. “No need to apologise.” “If there any way I can help, at all, tell me,” with that he turned back. The kid was watching them.

    She put her head against his shoulder and Max hugged her. People speaking in her head? He knew how much she hated that, even emotional Allomancy from places other than himself. It reminded her of Solace, he was sure. “Vesuvius. Then Oasis.” Max nodded, though he didn’t know what she meant by ‘then Oasis’. But it hurt him too see her distressed like that, and it hurt even more he couldn’t even do something about it. What could he do? He wished he was a Soother, so he could calm her worries, but instead he could only Riot. He kept an arm around her. She seemed to have calmed. “All good now?” He whispered gently to her, he was deciding not to use their link for now.

    Max Rioted and when he heard a scream they knew where to look. He took off with the group, the kid up ahead. Max didn’t know how good that plan warm, thinking about the last time the kid had gone alone, but if this person really was incapacitated by the Riot then it wouldn’t be too hard. Suddenly he looked back and he saw Althea, pressing a hand against her head. Devaan was trying to comfort her, but her impassive face now looked very distressed. Running back he yelled to the kid. “Wait for us!” When he approached Althea he looked up at Devaan and wrapped his own arm around her shoulders. “What happened?” He asked Devaan.

    The captain nodded, mumbling to thin air as he signalled for his group to follow. He was a bit eccentric, some would say. @Sorana

    “Sounds good to me,” he said, walking away and out of the building, towards the Forge.

    “We want to negotiate peace, because we’re sorry about the attacks done against your church. Innocent people died, and we want to make up for the atrocities.” The captain put the sheet of paper away. “Along with a nice portion of land we would like to gift you as a peace offering, we would like to ask the leader how we can make up for the attacks.

    The captain nodded, reaching for something in his coat pocket. “Stricker procedures now,” he mumbled to no one in particular, then paused. “I guess you’re right.” He ended up producing a sheet of paper and handing it to the soldier. It was a transcript of the direct instructions they had been given, signed by the Triarchy. It said to negotiate peace with the Church of the Whiterose, and some other things. “We can discuss more later, but that shows we mean no harm,” he said.

    The captain was a young man with big eyes who seemed overly calm, though his fingers twitched slightly. “We’re here for peace. We’d like to speak to the leader of this guild directly if he or she is available.”

    “It’s fine,” Rob said, and walked forwards to where everyone was sitting. “Hey everyone,” he said, sitting on a chair and tilting it towards them. He nodded to Jamie. “Another new person? That’s good.” @Dr. Dapper

    Rob had been prepared. He had underestimated how far she would get before slipping. Putting a foot backwards to steady himself she suddenly stumbled forwards into him. Using one hand to grab the railing, Rob made sure he didn’t also slip, acting like a little wall to prevent her from falling all the way down. Putting his other hand on her shoulder he tried to push her upright again. He looked down. They were on almost the last steps anyway. “Almost there,” He said, stepping a little back.

    “It’s not.” Rob said and then descended several steps, then looked up at her. “Okay, now even if you fall, you won’t plummet down the stairs, because I’ll block you.”
