Lusk followed the woman, taking out a little machine from his pocket and sending a message. He had his own lackeys too. Get over here. Republic Meeting. “That should do it,” he grumbled, exiting the building and stopping next to the woman. Sighing he tapped Atium, his back straightening and some of his hair bled to black as he put the cane away. He clasped his hands behind his back. “So, what is this? Must be important if your representing the Righthand and the Leader.”

“Yes, please.” Max said, nodding to the kid. He hadn’t realised how helpful Progression could be. He turned to the kid again. “You ever heard about the story with the two kids and the breadcrumbs?” They’d dropped the breadcrumbs so they knew whenever they’d reached a place they’d already been. “Drop your plants here and there as we walk, so we don’t get lost and so we know where we’ve been.”

The Spooky Spiketacular Extravaganza!
I think I am here. replied to Voidus's topic in The Alleyverse
“That would be wise,” Wilhelm said, noticing her reaction. Perhaps she didn’t like Wilhelm’s sudden appearance from the dust cloud. He raised a gloved hand and pointed to the dim light. “But we should check that. It might tell us where we are. He walked over pieces of rubble, jumping between them. “It might be the machination the doctor was using.”- 759 replies

Lusk looked at the woman. Probably one of Althea’s, judging by the logical tone. He looked at the debate, then shook his head. Where had that blasted kid gone anyway? Wesley? “No,” he said, getting off his chair and standing up with a twitch of irritation. “How long is this going to take?” He picked up his cane and hobbled over.

“I’m a Rioter,” Max said to the Canton kid, introducing himself. Rioter was an understatement, but he left it at that. Answering Althea’s question, he took a step in one direction the sewage went. “We don’t know how powerful this Frob is, and neither do we know for Vesuvius. We’re all good fighters, but until we know what we’re dealing with we should stick together. He continued walking in that direction. “I guess we just start from here, then.”

The Spooky Spiketacular Extravaganza!
I think I am here. replied to Voidus's topic in The Alleyverse
In the dust cloud, not much could be seen. Wilhelm stalked in the cover, watching two people get up. Rust, he’d already been accused of being a cannibal, he should have just killed them and left. Stalking behind the one who said her name was Renata, Wilhelm took out a knife... And sheathed it. He was not a cannibal. He was not a killer. Not anymore! “I think I am here,” he said, appearing next to her.- 759 replies

When Rob finally to his room, he immediately collapsed on his bed. It was simply a single mattress on the ground, so there was no frame to buckle underneath his weight. Groaning, he turned and observed the room. It was almost completely bare, one might have called it minimalist. It looked sort of like a military dormitory. A single wooden table, wooden chair, window, closet, bin, bag and mattress. On the table was a single book, closed. Rob sighed, leaning over to his closet and standing up. He ripped off what remained of his burnt shirt and slipped on an identical shirt, with the exact same colour. All of Rob’s shirts were the same. He’d bought them in bulk. He threw the remains of his previous shirt in the bin and sprayed some deodorant to get rid of the smell of smoke. When all was done he laid on his bed, looking at the blank white roof in front of him. He was tired, he needed rest. But still, he grabbed the book from the table, and he took out a small blank pencil from his pocket. And as he laid down, Rob began to sketch in the book, sketching all sorts of images, squares, pentagons, hexagons. Flames. Blinking he put the book away, laying still and resting in his contemplation.

Slowly, Max slid himself into the sewer system, cringing as the wetness of the sludge encompasses his shoes and a little above that. The strong smell was enough to make him hold his breath, hoping it would pass. But it didn’t, so he might as well have got used to it. Extending a hand Sethramir dropped into place, shimmering white and he held it in a defensive position. Sethramir glowed, so they could use that as a light source, as opposed to the stormlight escaping from the spheres. The place they were in in the sewers extended in two directions, forwards and backwards. Looking to Althea, Devaan, and the new kid who’d joined them, he shrugged, silently asking which way to go. “Should we split up?” He asked.

Alask glanced at the woman, though he kept his eye out for Nekorb. The faster they found him, the earlier they could leave. Lena answered the woman’s question again, seemed to recognise her. Which was good. “Guilds, to helmore with them,” Alask muttered. “Always messing things up.”

Max looked down the hole. He considered smiling and jumping down, regardless of height, spontaneous as he normally was. But he stopped himself. He had promised not to get himself killed, and he owed it to Althea to be a little more careful. Still that didn’t mean he’d let her jump down only because she could heal whatever pain occurred. “We should drop a sphere,” he said. “To test the depth.” @Sorana @Nohadon

“Thanks,” Alask said, taking the cake and eating a bite out of it. A woman came to ask them questions and Alask let Lena take care of it, looking back at the mike. He looked up from his vantage point on the stage. People were in chaos, trying to leave. The least he could do was help them. Taking advantage of what he could see from the stage, he took the microphone and turned it on again. “Okay, everyone, um, you might be confused how exactly you leave this place,” he paused to look ahead from his high ground. “There’s, uh, three exits, from the looks of it, no, four, there’s one hiding in the corner. So, yeah there’s one exit on the north side, another is the...” and he continued, rattling off whatever exits he could see and their locations, hopefully making it easier for those stuck in the middle. “I guess we just wait, now,” he said, turning off the microphone though there was a nervous undertone in it.

“Nekorb!” Alask called, cupping his hands around his mouth, while Lena looked for a switch. The stage itself was almost empty, when space marines were invading no one really wanted to be in the centre of attention. Checking the wires connecting the microphone Alask looked to see for any separations in how the wires were attached. If he found one, he tried fixing it by pushing the two connectors together. “Did that work?” He called.

In the darkness of the night, a light pattern of rain could be felt, drops of water rattling off of tin roofing, dark clouds resting over the city buildings. “So, Frob,” Max said, wearing a coat and crossing his arms. He was cold. Stopping next to Althea, he surveyed the buildings around. “Your assistant hadn’t found anything in the city yet, and nothing in the Canton. There’s really only one place else to check, right?”

Alask clicked his fingers. “Good idea,” he said, standing on his toes to see above the heads of those evacuating. How to clear up this crowd? “Ah, there’s a bomb! There’s a bomb!” He shouted and immediately people yelled and ran in all directions, leaving a nice opening. “Let’s go,” he said, cutting through the gap he’d created.

Alask followed her, occasionally yelling out Nekorb’s name. Between the screaming people outside and the space marine invasion, it wasn’t too out of place. “He was with us with the Host guy, right?” Alask asked. “Did we ever see him come down?”

“Yeah,” Alask said. “You promised we would kill bloodshedders.” At night. It’s safer that way. “We need to find Nekorb first,” Alask said, turning to Lena. “He doesn’t know the way back to the Forge, remember?”

“Ok. You all cover up the blood that’s already here.” Rob groaned, and moved to a squatting position, slowly standing up and balancing himself. He saw Shana ask for Ben’s help upstairs, and Rob realised he might have needed help too. But he didn’t say anything. “I will stand, where others fall,” Rob said, repeating his second oath to himself as he tried to walk back in the house on shaking legs. His shirt was practically non-existent, large burns ripping through it and barely holding it to him. He continued walking, he fell a few times, one time he fell down the stairs and it was pretty painful, but continued to his room.

Rob eyed Doc and the others going through the house. “Let’s not tell them about this?” No doubt they would be scolded for recklessness if Doc caught wind of what had happened.

Rob woke up. For some reason, waking up to the smell of dried up burnt blood was strangely disconcerting. But he wasn’t bleeding anymore, he noticed. Groaning he closed his eyes and lightly touched where the fourth-degree burns had been, spreading around his body. There were no wounds now. But storms, he was tired. He saw how the others had crowded around him and Shana, talking about changing sparring rules. “No,” he said, his face had resumed its neutral pose after what had happened. “This was a spar where I deliberately told her she could go full on. Usually it would never come to this.” He sat up. “Can someone get me some stormlight?” He mumbled.

Rob could no longer feel her hand flaming but the burns remained and he screamed in his pain as they ravaged him. Soon, the world blacked out for him too. @Lunamor

Rob didn’t feel much but the pressure of being crushed while Shana’s hand rested on an unarmoured part of him. But then her hand started heating up, and then burning, and Rob pushing the stab and thrust his head backwards, trying to endure the pain. The smell of smoke filled his nostrils and he gritted his teeth, closed his eyes, keeping that neutral expression. He was trapped under his own armour and Shana, and he had nowhere to move as her hand seared through his flesh, burning a fiery mark on him. Rob felt he couldn’t clamp his eyes down anymore, he felt he would crush his teeth with how much he was gritting them. He could feel himself burning, his skin charring and he clenched his fists. Even with closed eyes he was sure he could see stars and his whole body tensed as he cocked his head back and screamed primally, for the first time his neutral mask giving to an expression of pain as the stone he was wearing suddenly dissolved to liquid and his body went limp. The large burns could be more clearly seen with the armour off.

Rob suddenly didn’t have any footing and the weight of the suit dropped through the dust layer to the new ground. Rob planted his forearm-blades into the ground for stability but soon after Shana came jumping at him and he fell on his back again, the rock around his back cracking. Rob sharply inhaled, the extra rock on his chest was pressing down on him. That would bruise. Taking deep breaths he tried to hold her in one place with one hand, and with the other he tried stabbing her slowly in the side with the forearm blade, trying to push it in as he was crushed by his armour’s weight.

She was in his grip one moment, but soon there was nothing beneath Rob as she slipped out of his tackle. Groaning he made an effort to stand himself up again, it was hard with all the rock, but he managed. Slowly he looked around for her, reaching his left hand to some of the rock that had attached itself to his right forearm. Grabbing onto it he moulded it, made it longer, and thinner. Rob was inexperienced with creating shapes, but he at least new this. Fashioning the forearm rock into something akin to a long blade that extended past his palm, Rob did the same with the other forearm and raised his arms in a defensive manoeuvre. He doubted he would get much momentum behind his swings due to the weight, but the weight would be an advantage if he stabbed her.

She was taking a straight punch, this would be easy to block. Moving to redirect her hand, Rob’s grip slipped off the slick before it could grab anything and Rob was hit in the face. That would leave a mark. Grunting he fell backwards, but since he’d turned the ground behind him to liquid (see previous post) the fall itself didn’t do any damage. Instead, as he fell into the liquid, he submerged himself and quickly jumped out, and any liquid that coated his clothes and body he solidified immediately to make a rock armour, which he further reinforced with Tension. With this and another breath of stormlight Rob leapt towards Shana with newfound speed and attempted a football tackle to the ground.
