“Forb or Frob... where do we start with trying to find someone like that when all we have is a name?” He asked.
-
“Hey!” Max said but Althea turned around. Narrowing his eyes and smiling at her he pocketed the knife anyway. “Where?” Max asked.
-
“I remember that! You used that in that duel once, to catch the enemy off guard.” He turned to the sparks Althea created. “Pretty,” He mentioned, grabbing a glass knife from the rack as well. Just in case.
-
Max nodded, then joined in with the joking. “Well, I can always make people think I’m stylish, so need for cards for me. And besides.” He summoned Sethramir in a overly dramatic fashion. “There’s that.” @Sorana @Nohadon
-
“Oh, I remember the cards,” Max said, looking to Althea. “Old man wants to be fashionable while he fights.” He laughed and picked up a wooden staff from the wall, strapping it to his back. He saw Devaan shoot and miss a shot at the door. “Well, at least we know if you want to hit something just aim four paces to the left of it.” He stopped by Althea, putting a hand on her shoulder. “Are you okay?” He asked quietly. @Sorana
-
“Don’t mention it,” Max said, walking back to inside the building. He told Seymour about how he’d offered Damaya a room. “Seymour will give you the key,” And then Max left, jogging back down the hallway, until he made it to the armoury. “Hey,” He said as he emerged from the doorway. @Nohadon
-
“Of course,” Max, relaxing a little more now that he knew she was staying. So there would be time, for Althea to meet her, for them to talk. “One of the other leaders, you’ll be seeing him more than me, he can fly, and I’m sure he’ll be happy teaching you how to fight against it.” He smiled, remembering her first question. “No,” he paused. “Well, if you see a man with a metal arm around, I am looking for him, but other than that, no one, really.” She’s got an eyepatch, he said to Althea, relieved that she’d spoken after some pause. But other than that she looks fine. She’s agreed to stay in a Canton room tonight, but she says she hasn’t to go soon after that.
-
He listened to her explanation, how she had to protect people, and some Koyeda child? She had a kid? No, she said she was like a child. So, no kid. The Bond! He could speak through the Bond. You’re right, he said over the bond, looking at Damaya in front of him and focusing, not sending Althea the memory, but showing it to her. She’s the one. “Yeah, I guess there are a lot of people here,” Max said, looking up to Damaya again. “Before you go, if you need a place to stay for the night, you can use one of our trainee bedrooms,” he said. “As compensation for your inconvenience. Sorry, this is really unprofessional of me.” He smiled and continued to Riot. He couldn’t make her say yes, but he could hope she would.
-
“What? Why not?” He asked, walking to a more private place. Well, now he knew. It was Althea’s sister. What did he say now? He’d almost scared her off if he hadn’t Rioted trust. What was he supposed to do now? “Damaya, did you know you have a sister?”
-
“Not really, no.” Max said, bringing a hand to his mouth. Because between stepping back and asking the question instead of a simple no, told, him enough. But he Rioted trust in her, hoping it would be enough. “Damaya, maybe we should speak in private?” He looked back. “No offence, Seymour.”
-
Max blinked, and nodded only slightly. He smiled slightly, surprise showing on his face. “And, Damaya, I don’t suppose you’ve been to the other side of the world, at all?”
-
Alask nodded, and went to the topmost number, pressing that. If access wasn’t allowed, he’d go one number below that. And continue. @Ark1002

The Spooky Spiketacular Extravaganza!
I think I am here. replied to Voidus's topic in The Alleyverse
“Well, unless you’d rather talk about that large rusthead over there there isn’t much else to talk about,” he gestured to Hellbent with his Shardblade.” He heard her story about being a slave. That explained the thinness. And the fact she’d escaped - that was enough for Wilhelm to respect her, for now. “Well, it is certainly a tougher story than some of the others, I think. Like the noblewoman, I wonder why she’s here.”- 759 replies

Max looked back, and nodded, slowly parting from her. “Tell Devaan I’ll be back in a bit,” he said, turning on his heel and walking back the way they’d came, down the hallway, thoughts running through his mind. Finally he got to Seymour and the woman. “Excuse me for a second Seymour,” he said, turning to the woman, extending a nervous hand, far more nervous than if he was talking to some other trainee. But the resemblance, the similarity between her face and Althea’s shocked him for a second. But, hey, maybe it was someone who looked similarly. “Hi, I’m Max, I’m the leader of Operations at the Canton. I’m afraid we didn’t catch your name?”
-
Max looked back to Althea, and it clicked. “Oh,” he said, his grip on her shoulder tightening slightly. Her sister. Max had never met her, but that was because she was presumed dead. Max remembered when Althea had first gotten news of it, back when they had been hunting for Solace. “We... we can check,” he said. He looked back behind him. Her sister. “What do you know about your sister? We can ask.” He looked to Althea again, his gaze gaining more resolve. “I can help you.”

Wilhelm nodded. He wouldn’t attack her anyway. She was too thin. Well, Wilhelm wouldn’t hurt anyone anyway, regardless of weight or nutritional value. He really needed to hammer the thought down. “Escaped?” He instead asked, letting the rest of the question ask itself.- 759 replies

“Again, are we seriously dealing with terrorists here?” He asked, then shook his head. “Or mercenaries. Same thing, whatever.” He blinked and realised that that was exactly what they were doing. He walked up to the security woman. “Wait, so how many of your people have been ‘hired’ this way?”
-
She clung to his arm and Max put a concerned hand on her shoulder. “Thea, are you okay?” He looked back. “We can go see that woman again, if you want. Why would she be dead?”
-
“Only a little,” Max said and stepped back as well. He straightened what he wearing and ran his fingers through his hair. He smiled at her and walked out of the kitchen, following Devaan.
-
“Up, I guess,” he said, walking to the same elevator they had come onto this floor with. “How high up do you think we should go?”

Wilhelm was silent. He knew the feeling of a permanent injury, it’s mark on you. He brought a hand to his eyepatch, touching it lightly. “Where I come from, a broken leg means you’re easy prey. Well, broken anything, to be honest.” He looked to the place where the scars had been. “But it is good this wasn’t the case for you.”- 759 replies

“I think we should look around,” he said, looking at the cameras. “Don’t you think there’s more than they’re letting on with all these cameras?”

Max smiled and saluted to Seymour. Good lad. He felt Althea grab his arm, and when they were inside she spoke. “Who?” Max asked, looking behind him. “That new woman?”
-
“We do,” Max said, slowly bringing a hand to caress her cheek, gently lifting her head up. He looked her in the eyes. “We don’t have to do this, you know,” he said softly, “We can stay home, spend time.” He looked into her eyes again, those beautiful eyes. “But, no, we do. This is our responsibility.” He moved his thumb over her cheek. “Now, let’s not keep Devaan waiting, hm?”
-
Alask looked to the woman and Berk, sighing. He stepped to the side. They didn’t need to make a scene. Besides, the woman could probably take him down. But still, letting them go free... it icked something in Alask. But he stood to the side. “Go ahead,” he said, resignation colouring his voice. He looked to Lena and saw she was looking at him too. He shrugged.
