Contest of Champions: Walker vs. Lusk
I think I am here. replied to Darth Woodrack's topic in The Alleyverse
Lusk didn’t have time to dodge, but he did have time to tilt his head, to get the knee somewhere near his ear on the side of his head than the front. Going down, Lusk at least realised he was in close distance, and attempted another, um, groinal kick. -
Contest of Champions: Walker vs. Lusk
I think I am here. replied to Darth Woodrack's topic in The Alleyverse
Lusk moved to the side, the punch only clipping his side. Straight punch, he thought. Getting easier to predict. Apparently Walker was at normal age now. Ducking low, Lusk tried grabbing both of the kid’s legs, to topple him over and tackle him. -
As Georgia continued swinging, Alask suddenly realised the imminent danger that was present, and not from the guards. As he hurriedly made his way back through the ship, he accidentally bumped into Lena along the way. “Sorry,” whispered. “You were right. Maybe being in a place where blood might be shed isn’t the best for me to be right now.” But he had to help some way. Looking to the side, Alask picked up a fire extinguisher, and the next guards who came quickly got sprayed with the stuff. “Zack,” he called up. He was the only one who could pilot the plane. “We need you now!” @Darth Woodrack

“So what’s the difference between giving a cookie with spikes in it and giving a cookie with needles in it?” “Well, one is using the dark magic of Ruin to rip out a piece of your soul to Frankenstein-like graft it onto another soul, usually creating unimaginable Abominations you’d see in nightmares. And the other is just pure evil.”

Max stepped back, and felt the information flow through him in the link. To before Solace’s arrival at the Alleyverse, to before he was an Epic. When he quit out of the burst of sudden information, he found he was being lashed away from a collapsing room, and Althea was looking at him differently. She recognised him! And that felt amazing, to have her back.- 273 replies

Honestly though, if Darth isn’t like this sort of thing, even if you imply it as a joke, it might be best to just stop. Anyway, I broke the tie in his favour in case no one listens to me.

Long Game 51: A Traitor in the Obligators
I think I am here. replied to Straw's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I mean, I’m not sure if there would be a high chance of the Seer having a Rioter Allomancer already, unless someone claimed so. But even if we vote for more people and there is an elim Rioter, they could still have easy control over the vote anyway, so I don’t see how voting for more people would solve the problem. Alvron for suggesting we vote for more people, though that wouldn’t solve the issue and would only cause the random chance lynch to be among more people. -
Good luck, dude. My first female Alleyverse character promptly got herself killed in a duel.

Alask ducked as the hatch sailed over his head with wide eyes and toppled over the side of the plane, looking towards the Georgia lady. “Well, that’s one problem dealt with!” He said, crawling to the open hatch against the wind. “Everyone in!” He shouted and dropped inside the Alleyzon ship. It was remarkably warmer here than outside, and the walls were decorated by red. Guards nearby jumped and looked towards Alask. “Hello,” He said, punching one. “C’mon!” He called upwards to his crew. “We need more people down here to fight!”

I would assume so, with each enhancement metal making the original more powerful, but I guess burn faster than it already does with duralumin. For that reason I assume multiple nicroburst touching the Misting would have a similar effect. Of course, the real enhancement comes from nicrobursting the duralumin, and then burning that enhanced duralumin to skyrocket your original power. We’ve seen normal duralumin and it was crazy, imagine this.

Max scratched his head. Blonde hair, brown coat, bad shoes and a ridiculous blue scarf that didn’t match? It sounded like the type of odd look one of Lusk’s underlings would have, maybe. And when she looked at Max, that’s what she saw. He stared at Solace, with a hard gaze, trying not to break down, still talking to Althea. “He told me you were dead too,” he said. “He took me to this room and said you were dead, and that I could have revenge.” It felt painful, the blankness, the unfamiliarity. Someone he loved. Someone who’d said she’d loved him back. Someone he’d hugged. Who didn’t recognise him. Who was paranoid that this was all a ruse not because of any craziness, but simply because this was the the kind of threat they were dealing with. This was the extent of Solace’s powers. And he couldn’t do anything. What was he supposed to do? Was he supposed to continue the mission, forget about this until later? But Althea. He loved her. And... and he didn’t know if he had the willpower to do more without her. “We met in the DIDGERIDOO,” he whispered to her, “Or well, we met in the Great Game, but apart from the plan of how to save AlleyCity, we didn’t talk. DIDGERIDOO. That was when we talked, we... shared things. And I liked you from there, onwards. “You saw the instability in my mind, and you still helped. You still tried to aid me. And that meant unimaginable things to me, Althea. “And then, Oasis. You still tried to help me. Even after knowing, you still tried, and I betrayed you. I gave in to my emotions, and I betrayed everyone there, and I’ll never be the same. And its because of that, because I gave in, that Solace helped me and because of that why we’re in this mess. Because I was weak. “But this, here, with you, I felt different. I felt warm. And I loved you. And I still do, and I always will. And no matter what illusion Solace makes, no matter how powerful he is, he can’t fake that love, that I feel for you.” He leaned in, looking into her eyes.- 273 replies

Alask heard what Lena said, but before he could answer the plane clanged onto the Alleyzon ship. Going out of the hatch and on top of the larger vehicle, Alask felt the air press against his face, his skin. He found another hatch, closed, leading into the Alleyzon ship. “We need someone strong!” He yelled over the roaring hush of air. “To open this hatch!”

Long Game 51: A Traitor in the Obligators
I think I am here. replied to Straw's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I mean, for the last Night turn, Straw was saying how the timer thing was broken and how he apologised for anyone who missed their actions, which could point to that conclusion (the Seer missing the action) unless anyone else missed their action as well. But yeah, I would feel it’s safer to assume we have another elim now, rather than hoping the Seer didn’t send in an action. As for the lynch, I don’t know yet, but I’m thinking Lumgol. He jumps on the idea that it could be a red herring immediately, and his next comment is about how it’s possible the Seer could not have made an action. But I’m not sure if this is elimness or new-playerness, so, I won’t vote for now. But I am suspicious. -

Her voice broke, her eyes still seeing Max, but not seeing him. She said she’d only loved one man, and it wasn’t him. Steve. She’d called him Steve? Did she see Max as different? Perhaps someone was Lightweaving an illusion out of him. But she still asked, when they’d hugged, and that made Max question whether all was lost after all. “When you saw that spanreed,” he replied, his voice slightly shaky, stepping forward. “And you pretended to be calm, and I hugged you, and we cried and said we loved each other. Don’t tell me you don’t recognise me. Please.”- 273 replies

I wouldn’t say he was talking about the letter ‘H’ specifically, but rather the ‘ħ’ phoneme, which I guess I think is also a bit of a stretch. The tineye might be messing with us, in an effort to mess with the elims too. -

Max felt cold inside, but still couldn't understand the full extent of what she said. He chucked nervously. Did she not remember him? Had the sleep done something? Maybe it was the fact he wasn't wearing a helmet, but she'd seen how he'd looked without one, and he was still wearing the armour. Why did she not recognise him? "Uh, I'm Max," he said, his mind spinning. Solace had said Althea was dead, but clearly she was still here, physically at least. But about her mind? Was the woman Max loved, the cognitive aspect of her existence, was that dead? Was this another person living in her body. "We loved each other," he said, slowly. "I-I hugged you, and - do you not remember me?" His voice was shaky, and his eyes were desperate. He looked to Rick. The man asked how Solace was treating him. "Good," Max said absent mindedly. He looked to the man again. "What happened to Althea?" He said.- 273 replies

But even then, time bubbles don't usually have such a large effect on what's in it. I think the Ars Arcana for Alloy of Law said something like 8 times less or more time (depending on the bubble), so taking 483 years and dividing it by 8, you'd still have to had been spending around 60 years constantly in a time bubble for it to be possible

Suddenly someone was in the room, walking towards Solace. Turning around, Max saw it was Althea. He was suddenly overwhelmed with joy, a happiness he couldn't explain. She was alive! Thanking the God Beyond, Harmony, he went to greet her but she just walked past, not even a hint of recognition in her eyes. She went to Solace, asked where Max was. He tapped her on the shoulder. "Althea?" He asked. "Are you alright? I thought you were dead!" His eyes were still watery, though he wasn't crying anymore.- 273 replies

It's nice, but why are they almost 500 years old? Even if they learnt world-hopping, is it Atium compounding, or a curse from the Nightwatcher, or something else. The name is nice, but is there any reason why it's so different from normal Scadrian conventions?

Spikes that have been Hemalurgically inserted can't do nothing, otherwise it's just a piece of metal stuck in you, which brings up all of the infection/internal bleeding issues.

As Max lunged for the punch he found himself frozen in place. Of course, even his last resort, even his show of anger was reduced to nothing in front of Solace. The chair was somehow behind Max again and Solace ordered him to sit down. Max had no choice. Not even his best efforts had landed a blow on the Epic. Epic. Max had heard of the superpowered beings from another planet, another place, but he didn't know what they could do. Max could see Solace. His power. Though the very idea of saving the man who'd murdered Althea made Max shudder and sicken, if he saved Solace, if he turned him good, could he bring Althea back? Sitting in the chair, Max felt calming emotions flow through him. He knew they were fake, but he still welcomed them with a weep. Anything to comfort from the pain. The loss. He felt like curling up on the chair, closing into a ball, but he remained with a straight posture, his armour hiding any trembling, though he no longer had a helmet. He looked to Hellbent. The man stood imposing in the room. His son. Atticus. Max remembered the duel. "Yes," he said back spitefully. "And it's because of your son my sister is dead. That makes us even."- 273 replies

Long Game 51: A Traitor in the Obligators

So, on that Tineye message. The bolded letters we have are: A, V, E, O, T, R, B, H Since these don’t spell out a word in the natural order they come in, (forwards or backwards) is it possible that it could be an anagram for something? Either that or the Tineye is just trying to confuse us (or the elims). So, we could rearrange it as: BOTH RAVE Thay doesn’t really mean much though, so how about: BOVE RATH Again, doesn’t say much, but it does have one of player’s names in it, and if you added an ‘A’ at the beginning it would say ‘Above Rath’. I don’t know if this means anything though. HAVE BORT Bort’s not in this game, so I doubt it’s this one, though it could be, for who knows what reasons. Conclusion, I have no idea what the Tineye was trying to say. -
Seeing the plane, up ahead, Alask waited till the plane he was in was almost directly next to the Alleyzon plane. “So, something I didn’t account for,” he said. “Was how exactly we’re going to get into the Alleyzon plane from here.”
