  1. The ettmetal exploded. It was a small explosion, small but concentrated. The fireball didn’t extend past Lusk’s wrist, but what it did hit it hurt bad. Lusk could feel the burn on his hand, the pain of having it blasted apart and fracture. His left hand was fine, though. Walker’s hand had spun away before Lusk could grab it, meaning there was only one explosion. Which meant Lusk still had an ettmetal cube he could use. Looking back, Lusk felt it’s buzz and and threw it high in the air, Lurcher-cube attempting to pull anything metal Walker had on his body upwards, such as pistols. Lusk looked at his and Walker’s hands. Suddenly, the shock wore of and blinding pain coursed through Lusk. He couldn’t make a sound, that was how painful it felt. Finding the right cubes with his remaining hand Lusk activated the the three pewter cubes and gasped as the pain dissapeared. The injury was still there, just not the pain. As a welcome side effect of the three pewter-cubes, Lusk was Also storms-strong. Looking back he saw the pot move towards his head, but Lusk was strong. Grabbing Walker’s hand firmly and crushing the pot, Lusk tested his triple-pewter strength by attempting to crush Walker’s remaining hand as hard as he could. He had the grip, and he had the pewter.
  2. "You call us airsick lowlanders, when in reality you are a airsaturated highlander." PERFECT COUNTER ACHIEVED.
  3. The Enemy was fast, and their katana moved at a remarkable pace. Lusk needed to remember to get something like that later. He doubted his father would be ready to defend against a such a weapon. Oh, wait, his father was already dead. Age Feruchemy did some things to you, some things even Lusk wasn't sure about. What other things could he do with his power? As the sword flew towards him, the misplaced harmonium cubes adding up the momentum, Lusk wondered if he could do something else, something more. Archivist Ferrings could decide what memory to store in their coppermind, they could select a specific part of their Feruchemy and use that. Bloodmaker Ferrings could decide what parts of their body to heal. Could Lusk do the same? A newfound determination filled Lusk. This time, as Walker charged, Lusk twisted, storing up his age from his abdomen, making it old and thin and crinkly, and tapping that same age in his legs, giving them youth back to the days where he'd had to be fast, lest the bullies or the Shades got him. Fast legs from the past, skinny torso from the future. Spinning and sucking his belly in, Lusk managed to still get a long but shallow cut on his hip, though he was lucky he'd even survived that. Bringing the various parts of his body to the present, Lusk tapped Atium and sent his hands back to when he'd been a duelist, the now muscular hands (each with a single harmonium cube cupped in them) latched on to Walker's wrists with a firm grip, right where the little bleeding occurred where he'd cut himself. And everybody knew what happened when Harmonium got wet. BOOM!
  4. Lusk swung at the Enemy, but the Enemy dodged, jumping backwards and Lusk just swung at empty space. For a little bit Combat Lusk was confused. His father had never dodged, only attacked. And all this Lusk had trained to do was fight his father. Immediatly going back to a youth of 17, teenage Lusk flourished in the knowledge of the fight and thought on the strategy. He’s backing up and refilling on Investiture. A good tactic for someone who has a power like Steelrunning. Mr. Walker seemed to be smarter than Lusk had thought. Suddenly Mr. Walker pushed forward with his katana and Lusk yelped, growing to 33 years and stepping into and around the blade. He was not scared. He’d gotten a cut on his cheek from the sword, but Combat Lusk knew nothing if not pain. Stepping in to in hairslength of the Enemy, Lusk immediately threw two Harmonium cubes outward, one to the left of the Enemy and him and one to the right. They were two of the more powerful Coinshot cubes, and with one Pushing hard on either side they would crush anyone with metal on them. Lusk only had his knife, which had already been Pulled out, meaning apart from his Atium-minds he was immune to the crushing. The Enemy, however... But that wasn’t the only thing Lusk did. Utilising his extreme close range - he hadn’t sacrificed that cut on his cheek for nothing, after all - Lusk took out another Harmonium cube and pressed it against the Enemy’s arm. As it buzzed, Lusk forced the Allomantic Tin into the Enemy. Among other things, it would enhance any pain the Enemy had gotten over the fight, including from the slit wrists.
  5. What’s going on, what’s going on? The Cadmium bubble meant whatever was happening outside happened faster. Throwing a bendalloy-cube bubble down to counter the Cadmium, he managed to see Walker slow down and throw his katana at Lusk. Fliching back and putting his hands in front of him, Lusk cracked open an eye to see the blade moving towards him, slowly. Ah. Since he’d put down a bendalloy bubble over the Cadmium bubble, he could see in real time. But since a Cadmium bubble was bigger than a bendalloy bubble, that still left a little ring of slowness which the blade was passing through now, for a few seconds. Lusk examined the katana. Invested, was it? Taking out a leecher cube He pressed it against the flat of the sword. Not anymore. Snatching the blade from the air, he felt it’s kinetic energy get absorbed by the bubbles before they went down. Looking towards Walker as the bubbles collapsed, ordinary blade in hand, Lusk laid of the tapping, exiting his twenties, into his early to mid-thirties. This had been the most dangerous period of Lusk’s life. It had been when he’d been the most apt at combat, when he’d trained relentlessly. It had been the period of his life where he’d wanted to kill his father. Lusk’s father was long dead now, but changing back to that moment where Lusk had wanted nothing but revenge changed Lusk. He had been a master duelist, and muscle memory came back to his mind. Stances, positions, focus. His father had been a tough one to best, the training had to have been gruelling. Muscles formed on Lusk’s body, not the artificial muscles of Investiture but real muscles, through excercise and work. This was Lusk at the peak of his combat career. Taking one look at Walker he ran, feinting a low down attack and going up high.
  6. Lusk stepped back, wondering if any of his friends were in the crowd. Maybe they could take like a video or something. He grew a little older to his normal mid-twenties age. Looking at the cubes activating around Walker, Lusk held his own cadmium cube, and took a cautious step back. If he threw this at Walker, maybe it would buy hi- Walker was suddenly gone, and from the corner of his eye Lusk saw his end. The electrical synapses in his brain literally would not be fast enough to be able to convince his body to dodge. He wouldn’t move in time. But he had a Cadmium cube. A quick flick of the finger and Lusk activated a Cadmium bubble around him almost as soon as Walker disappeared. A bendalloy bubble would’ve been better, but Lusk didn’t mind as long as he lived.
  7. It’s past midnight and I’m sleeping in my jeans so it’s time for Itiah’s Character Tips 201, 10 awesome tips to get your characters on track! 1. Remember the underrated. There are so many underrated powers in the Cosmere it’s insane how everyone sticks to Radiants and Mistborn. I have not yet seen an Alleyverse Nicroburst character, despite it being an awesome power. 2. Go against the odds. Who says you can’t have a legless steelrunner? There are some things you might make that make people go “that’ll be weird as, mate” (like an Atium Ferring for example) but an awesome character is one that goes against the odds. Props to Gancho’s armless Thug, it’s a real shame he hasn’t been used all that much. 3. Find the awesomeness in specialisation. Everyone wants their character to be awesome. The unfortunate thing is that too many people are using the same methods to get there (making their character OP or just have a similar power to everyone else). But specialising is the real awesome. I consider Nekorb to be somewhat awesome but does that make him OP? No. I think Alask is cool with the Shade in his soul but does that make him OP? Not really. 4. Be Creative. Joe is a 3rd Ideal Dustbringer and steel/pewter twinborn. Sound familiar? It’s because everyone does this at some point. If you want a unique character, think uniquely. Bonus points on this section go to Axelius. He has a dog character, for storms sake. 5. Mish and Mash. You will probably get a lot of ideas when making characters. The trick is to combine as many ideas of half-baked characters into one fully-complex character who encompasses what you wanted to include. I have something like 6 one-shot character ideas. I used to have more, but combining them is what ended up in characters such as Max. 6. Loss is good, but better when we see it. I dare you to go to the character sheets and count how many dead-relatives of characters there are. This is a quick and easy way of adding complexity to your character. It also works, and I’m not going against saying how someone has been through hard and hard times and that has made them tough. You know what’s better than saying how your character developed in their History section? Show us. Give them something to lose. A character who’s parents were already dead and is grizzled will had no where near the same emotional resonance as a character who’s parents we’ve seen die on-screen. Props to Silva’s portrayal of Mejin’s family. Mejin has something to lose. She did. We can see her pain. That immediately is better than saying in her History: “Has dead siblings, feels bad.” 7. Names are hard, but good. Your character is known by their name. Make sure it fits them. 8. Bold out your headings on their sheet. A cosmetic thing, but: Name: Itiah Age: As old as the sun Morals: No one exists. Characters: Rashan, Lusk Will never look as good as; Name: Itiah Age: As old as the sun Morals: No one exists. Characters: Rashan, Lusk Seriously, bolded headings makes everything flow better, look better, and overall make things better. Use them. 9. Last names are important. Even if you don’t use them that much, last names are so very helpful. What if someone wants to refer to your character in respect on their last name? (Eg. Master Sheonar, Master Mentiz) There are just a whole bunch of scenarios where irl you’d use someone’s last name. Just doing a little extra work and adding one more name would be helpful to everybody (unless it’s a part of your characters past or identity, for example, native Rosharan darkeyed don’t have last names.) 10. You’re character is not always the centre of attention. Nuff’ said. So, yeah those were Itiah’s Character Tips 202, As you can tell it’s 1 AM and I’m still in my jeans. Please use this tips unless they’re bad. Have a good night.
  8. Instructions unclear, I accidentally reformed the Shards and became Adoalsium
  9. Absolutely. I remember MR30/AN2 being one of my favourite SE RPs, simply because we had like four RPers playing off each other.
  10. I swear this has been asked before, and I just spent 10 minutes looking for it so I could post the link. Serious déjà vu here. Anyway, yes, he does have an account. No, he doesn’t visit very often at all.
  11. As the crying Lusk stomped and charged, he completely missed Walker, he felt sad. I'm useless, he thought. I'm so, so useless. He turned around. I even lost a pouch. As he watched with tears as the pouch fell towards the ground and Walker about to catch it, a part of him wondered if he could make use of the cubes that were in inside. In that pouch, there were six different types of cubes. If he could activate all at once... Storing just a smidge more Atium than he'd been doing before, depressed Lusk morphed into a version of himself from only 7 years prior, popular Lusk. At this point, Lusk had switched schools from the bullying, and begun again in a new high-school. At this point he'd decided to completely change his demeanor. Goodbye to the poetry nerd, hello to the narcissist. Sure, he was suppressing who he was, but he also had gotten popular immediately. 22 was the age Lusk had decided to never tell anyone where his real passions laid. If he acted confident, people liked him. They liked Lusk the cremling. Was that a good enough excuse. This Lusk was one that was almost always drunk. The age-change didn't bring the alchol with it, but it did bring the addiction, the wish of having that sweet, sweet drink again. he was disoriented, and happy. Popular Lusk didn't know a thing about fighting or strategy. Popular Lusk didn't care if he one or lost as long as he was popular. Popular Lusk was also storms-good at beer pong. Taking out a solitary nicrosil-cube, he expertly threw it, acing it right into the open pouch of cubes that Walker dude had grabbed. Immediately, every cube in the bag exploded into its Allomantic effect, enveloping Walker in a bubble of whatever nicrobursted effects it had.
  12. The punch connected but Lusk's arm was quickly caught by Walker. His opponent punched Lusk in the gut and Lusk gritted his teeth trying to fight through it. No matter what age he was, pain was still pain. Attempting to get out of Walker's grasp, Lusk immediately started tapping atium instead of storing, growing into an old man in an instant. His ski turned wrinkly, his teeth became yellow, and his arms became weak and twiggy. Immediately he felt his sight begin to dim too, but that didn't worry Lusk. Pulling his suddenly very thin arm away from that rusting Drown youngster's hand, old Lusk took a weak step back. Any more and he wouldn't be able to see his opponent. He hated kids. They always thought they were some sort of hotshot. Darn meddling teenagers. Lusk thought through his memories, trying to remember notable events in his life he could use to his advantage. There had been Lusk's year-long span of depression after his mother had died, where he'd locked himself in his home and grown obese and anti-social. Only his determination had brought him back, but the memory was still there. Storing his atium precisely to the year where it had happened, at age 29, Lusk felt as a bout of fresh sadness flooded through him and his body suddenly became large and chubby. His coat and pants hurt a little as they suddenly became tight. He just wanted to get away from this duel, away from everyone. And the only way to do that would be to take down this Walker. Yelling, he charged his heavily increased-mass (read: obese) body into Walker, trying to throw him to the ground.
  13. As the Drown kid circled Lusk in an eye-blink, Lusk thought of the mechanics of tapping Atium. It appeared to change how he thought slightly, as well. When he was five, he had feared his father. When he was twenty, he had been a egotistical cremling. Somethings never change, he thought as he stored more of his age into the atium bead. He grew a little shorter immediately, and a few pimples began to crowd his face. His body was thin and lanky, but his mind was keen. Ah, teenage years, he thought as he tried considering what Mr. Walker was doing. He needed to prepare for his Investiture exams. Um, he left a katana somewhere behind me, and he's in front of me with his scary gun out. Sounds like an attack on two fronts, like when Ter Smith and Susana Hasting bullied me for liking poetry. That means he'll Pull the katana at me, if the Geran v. Olson duel is anything to go by. Studying was hard, teenage Lusk decided, but brought two harmonium cubes out anyway, a Pulser-cube and a Lurcher-cube. Throwing the cadmium cube at the direction of the bolt, it detonated a time bubble around the shot. Plasma bolts were pretty fast so the cube would only delay it a few seconds. Seeing the Katana glimmer in the light as it flew towards him Lusk threw the Lurcher-cube far away to his side. The cube, charged with a large amount of Allomantic iron Pulled everything in sight towards it, Pulling the katana straight off its course. It would also Pull Mr. Walker's gun. Lusk's knife unclasped and flew towards the cube as well. Shadows. Should've studied more, he thought as he stepped back and around the delayed plasma bolt, aiming a punch at Drown, growing back to twenty.
  14. As Lusk walked forward slowly he saw the Drown kid bring up a deadly-looking weapon, and sighed. Kids these days. Always playing with new technology. Back in Lusk's day, it was all knives. Though, technically, when you were a Threnodite, hammers worked much better. As a spray of concentrated plasma came shooting towards him, Lusk realized he might not be able to guarantee a dodge by stepping aside and instantly stored a large portion of age into his atium-mind, shrinking his physique and body to the age of how Lusk looked like when he was five instantly. Due to the age change, his height immediately shrank as well, and he looked up as the plasma sailed over him. The leather coat was also way too big for him. Lusk hoped father wouldn't beat him for looking so dumb. Wait, father? Lusk hadn't thought of father for a long time. Yet, he felt scared, he hoped mama was here, so she could comfort his fear. Wait, he realized. The age-change was changing how he thought as well. Laying off the atium-storing, Lusk grew back to the mid-twenties body he was in before, familiar thoughts coming back to him, arrogance stronger than ever. His ego had always peaked at 25ish. Fitting into his coat once again, Lusk yelled again, walking forward. "Is that the best you can do?" He asked, grinning, preparing some Harmonium.
