  1. Atium and Lerasium can be made into an alloy that isn't Harmonium, maybe that is the best Metalmind. Also, an alloy of Lerasium and Atium is my guess as to how to be made into a Feruchemist.
  2. There is no reason to believe Bronze can't be used like that. We have descriptions from Marsh how fine tuned Bronze can be. Admittedly it would depend on how much training the Mistborn decided to put towards Bronze. Kelsier? Probably not as he never cared to train more than the basics The numbers we have for Bendalloy do not reflect at all what's shown in the books. A tnt explosion goes off a few feet away from them in slow motion giving them something like half a minute to a minute to respond in AoL. For that to happen, the bubbles would have to be altering speed by dozens of times over
  3. The part of the conversation you missed is at the end of RoW she has little to no trouble Soulcasting after she stops repressing herself. This shows she could always Soulcast and it wasn't for lack of skill or talent but a mental block. She's not really a bellow average Soulcaster at all. Admittedly it is in Shadesmar where Soulcasting is easier but she still had absolutely no trouble in that scene
  4. And Shallan is the most powerful and skilled Lightweaver in terms of utilizing her Surges. She picks up Soulcasting instantly like you Saud but that's clearly not normal as earlier in RoW a point is made that other Lightweavers are still struggling with it, and none of them come close to being as good at illusions as her.
  5. Shezler is explicitly said to be unaccustomed to fighting people who can fight back and his scene shows he's less skilled than most Mistings we see in the books. He likely had basic training and called it good
  6. Savant or not, he had enough health to heal broken bones before they finished breaking, that's healing on a scale way faster than any Radiant has shown. The closest a Radiant has come to that is Renarin and even then the difference between Renarin and a normal Radiant was little enough that Adolin wasn't completely sure Renarin was healing faster And the faster a trait is tapped the more that goes to waste. This tells us that he had a lot of Investiture stored up and still never came close to running out.
  7. Leeching may not be instantaneous, but it's still very fast considering it can drain metals in an instant, and draining the charge of an Invested gun also went out in an Instant. People latch on too much to Leeching not being instantaneous, but the example Brandon gives is draining a Compounder's entire metalminds as only taking a few seconds. So draining a Radiant would realistically be instant, maybe as long as a second or two if the Radiant decided to suck in a huge load of Stormlight. But why would the Radiant do that? It's already established that the more Stormlight a Radiant holds the faster they lose it Also I would imagine it would be quite difficult to maintain a Surge while the power source is rapidly being removed.
  8. I don't think it would be a matter of how much Investiture but what the Investiture does. Brandon has said that Copperclouds affect Spren, even though a single Spren is massively more Invested than any Coppercloud would be. It seems like the most logical power to do it. My guess is it would prevent the Soulcaster from communicating with the Cognitive aspects of anything in the Coppercloud.
  9. Just clarification on Soulcasting people. It's hard, even for Jasnah. What she does in Oathbringer should not be in any way an example of standard Soulcasting combat. Even during the climax of Oathbringer her narration says Soulcasting regular people is very difficult and the only reason she can do it so easily is because of the Perpendicularity. If she thinks Soulcasting regular people is hard, then Soulcasting a Mistborn burning metals would be realistically impossible in a fight. While I have no direct proof, I do expect Copperclouds will eventually be revealed to interfere with Soulcasting as I suspect Brandon will want a reason to keep Soulcasting from being an 'I win' button.
  10. I would also want Fullborn, though for me it's less about power and more about convenience
  11. The only way I see a Lightweaver winning this fight is if they are at or almost at Jasnah levels of Soulcasting and they can make solid illusions. Or if they are a future Lightweaver that has learned how to use FREAKIN LASERS
  12. You are correct, let me rephrase what I mean by about to use a Surge. What I meant was that as the Radiant is starting to use the Surge the Mistborn would be able to sense it and react accordingly rather than be fully caught off guard.
  13. Bronze can sense different uses of Investiture. Someone skilled in Bronze can even tell which emotions are being manipulated by Zinc/Brass. While I don't expect a Mistborn to be so good at a magic system they are not wholly familiar with, it's entirely reasonable they can sense the usage of different Surges
  14. In all these vs threads I had never thought about this
  15. We've seen multiple examples of people getting inside the reach of a Shardblade, not exactly a stretch to think that a Mistborn with Pewter and Steelpushes could. And hard to use Division when a Mistborn is actively draining the Investiture
  16. Let's look at the metals that we know give an advantage Pewter: stronger, faster, and more agile than a Radiant Steel/Iron: Pushes and Pulls Bronze: sensing when the enemy is going to use a Surge Brass/Zinc: I highly doubt a Radiant without Plate is completely immune, and definitely would be affected by a Duralumin fueled use. Duralumin: supercharged Allomancy Chromium: near instant drain of Investiture Nicrosil: over charge a Surge, such as a Radiant Lashing which would then leave the Radiant with no Stormlight. Risky? Very, but a possibility Bendalloy: time bubble shenanigans Electrum: see if an action might harm you Atium: this has been gone over to death Dodge and grab Radiant's wrists then burn Chromium. Overpower Radiant with Pewter while they have no Stormlight and can't resummon their Shardblade
  17. Don't we see it twice? Once where Taravangian's Dustbrinnger burns a symbol into wood and once where flames were trailing Amaram's arm movements? It would have to get really hot to do this, those temperatures sound like they would be damaging the Radiant as well to me
  18. Hopefully SL5 will shed some light on this, all cases of Division so far in the books have been through touch. Personally I'm a big fan of the idea of Skybreakers being able to use Division to shoot lightning, it would give a fun new meaning to their name.
  19. It was described as silvery with a red cast to it just like Trellium, though Wax does admit it could have been just blood. The implication though is that it was Trellium
  20. Whatever weird trait was used to create the creatures in Shadows of Self. Bleeder used a single Trellium Spike. I don't know about you, but that doesn't strike me as a result of a stolen power, but more like twisting of physical or spiritual traits being added
  21. I'm not sure why it wouldn't, it's already capable of stealing more than just Metallic Arts
  22. Alternatively, what if Daal is a Kandra and this is a scam to remove the temptation of the actual Bands, and maybe even trick Kelsier, in an effort by Harmony to encourage the North and the South to innovate and attempt to recreate the Bands while simultaneously keeping the actual Bands hidden and safe. Harmony seems to me to have learned his lesson on giving things and instead tempts people with the possibilities of what could be achieved.
  23. I'm probably wrong about this, but I propose that Trellium isn't truly Bavadinium, or at least not purely Bavadinium but is instead corrupted Atium or a Bavadinium/Atium alloy. There are a couple reasons I think this. First of all, Brandon has mentioned multiple times that red is the color produced by corrupted Investiture. Second, Trellium seems to be able to steal any power, Atium's Hemalurgic effect. Third, we do know their is an imbalance between Ruin and Preservation with Ruin having more unbound Investiture. Even though this seems to be mostly going towards the whole Discord thing, there was lots and lots of Atium in the Kandra Trust, so just maybe there might have been enough Ruin Investiture to siphon off to make the Trellium Spikes. My main reason for this is that, as presented in the books, Trellium seems to be just as good if not better for Hemalurgy than Atium is which to me just feels...wrong. It's been used to steal Allomancy, Feruchemy, and whatever trait that could be put in a single Spike to make the monsters we see in Shadows of Self.
  24. This scene was our first look into the fact that future sight isn't infallible in the Cosmere and while it might be right most of the time, even the most reliable visions of the future can be flawed and exploited. Personally I feel this scene is a good set of world building for the Cosmere as a whole
  25. It's unlikely, otherwise he would have to be constantly renewing his metal supplies. More likely in my opinion is that stronger Allomancers are more efficient and can extract more power out of the same amount of metal
