  1. Is it possible that for the Yolish version, he's only able to manipulate actual things (i.e. smoke, dust, colored powder), whereas the Rosharan version uses only Stormlight?
  2. An interesting thought, but like you said, probably not possible.
  3. The reason Ruin could alter things in books was because he and Preservation created Scadrial from nothing but raw Investiture, so he could manipulate the things that came from that world to an extent not seen elsewhere. Cool theory, but I doubt an Invested book would have done that. There was some form of sentient life there that they had to physically kill and take the power.
  4. I do not think they have the consciousness enough to do either of those, since they're dead. What they're missing, though, is the rest of their Spirit Web that was torn away when their Radiant betrayed the Oaths they had taken (I think that's how that works, correct me if I'm wrong) and it would be nigh on impossible for someone that isn't their original Radiant to revive them.
  5. Yeah, VenDell said something like that in Bands of Mourning. Well remembered, I didn't think about that.
  6. Ok, so when bones heal, they fill in with denser bone, the same way muscles tear and rebuild. Does that happen with gold healing, or because most people don't think about that, the Spiritual Realm healing doesn't do that?
  7. High-stakes thrills.
  8. Mercury doesn't dissolve the gold fast enough to stop a Pewterarm alone from breaking out of whatever mercury container you have them in, not to mention the benefit of Compounding pewter would make it faster for them to escape. Or, he could just swallow his gold- and pewter-minds, then the mercury can't affect them as much while still giving him all of the benefits. He could even just tap his weight and break free of the container. Another issue is getting the amount of mercury needed to keep someone like that contained and completely covered. Mercury is very hazardous, complete with gasses that it gives off at room temperature (another issue with keeping the hypothetical Rashek down). Most people would end up in bad shape after being around that much mercury for long, and F-gold with no Compounding wouldn't be enough to repair that damage unless you've literally been storing for decades. I mean theoretically, if you could neutralize Rashek for long enough to shove him into a massive vat of mercury and keep him there, this would be a viable strategy, but good luck with that.
  9. He kept saying that Odium would never have his pain, which I think qualifies as a flat denial.
  10. Hey. I like it. Reads like a Brothers Grimm tale.
  11. I believe the cube expands the range of the Allomantic effect.
  12. Perhaps Feruchemical Gold's healing.
  13. I kind of want to do it, now that I have a mic.
  14. Can I get a hint? Like what world are they from? There's a lot of characters to sort through. Edit: I forgot this was in the Mistborn area. Gotta be Wayne.
  15. I think this might be verging on a literary trend at this point, with the amount of dead siblings.
  16. I'd say probably, yeah. I mean technically they'd have the same personality even if they alter which cremlings make them up, yeah?
  17. I mean yeah, probably, but I was joking with this idea.
  18. Hoid is going to prank Bavadin and/or Frost with Soulcast instant noodles. That's the only reason he wanted to bond that Cryptic so badly. He just wants his rusting noodles!
  19. Is that where it's been hiding?
  20. Ironically, this might not be a bad thing, depending on what effects Cultivation's storm has. If it makes things grow faster, it would be pretty useful.
  21. Mate, I have no idea what any of this says, but have an upvote anyway because it sounds fancy.
  22. The Shin gave it to him, I thought. He said something along those lines at some point.
  23. I like this quiz. Ironically, I got more-or-less the same results as the other one for the top few. Truthwatcher, then Willshaper, then Lightweaver, then Elsecaller. After that came Windrunner, which was a surprise.
  24. Both Bladesmar and Books & Blades is pretty cool. If you like puns, maybe call it The Tip of the Blade?
  25. Basically what Silva said. Those are the biggest things you need to make it seem right.
