  1. Ironically, that exact scene is was brought this question to mind.
  2. So is what the listeners/singers do on Roshar similar to what Seekers do on Scadrial? If it is, would they be able to "hear" Scadrial like they do Roshar if circumstances were correct?
  3. So what I'm hearing is I need to buy some of the alteration plates too, yeah?
  4. Fair enough.
  5. I thought Dalinar said he respected the "natural majesty of Shardplate," so he had it buffed back to gray and everything ornamental that would come off removed. Am I misremembering?
  6. Fair enough. ngl, I'm just trying to put together a set of armor that I can save for and end up cosplaying Dalinar in full plate
  7. I should have clarified that I meant more like the base designs that users would add to on their own terms, in their own fashions. Fixed now.
  8. How close is this to what y'all picture as default Shardplate? http://www.darkknightarmoury.com/p-16145-black-ice-gauntlets.aspx http://www.darkknightarmoury.com/p-5558-black-ice-helmet.aspx http://www.darkknightarmoury.com/p-16112-complete-gothic-armour-package.aspx
  9. That's what I thought, hence I made the thread and asked. Surely the raw, untamed manifestation of decay that has a physical thing would have that thing decay too, yeah? APPARENTLY NOT.
  10. It's official. I have read and now own all of the published Cosmere books.

  11. 1. Was it ever confirmed how Dusk got Sak/Sak's egg? (if not, is it possible that it was Hoid?) 2. If you brought an egg from another world and raised it like what happened with Sak, would they have a potential for power-granting? 3. If #2 would work, would the power-granted have something related to the natural Investiture of the bird/homeworld of the bird, should that be applicable? 4. Would, say, an axehound from Roshar be able to be raised in such a way it would gain the ability to bestow powers? I feel like I've seen the answers to all of these somewhere but it just ain't coming to me.
  12. Ok, so, theoretically there's enough iron in someone's body to make from it a 3-inch (or something like that) nail. A nail, or perhaps a SPIKE. Because that iron would come from the blood of a person, would a Hemalurgic spike made from that iron suffer from decay or not because it is kind of made of a part of the blood of a person? Also would that bolster the strength of the spike/the retention of the trait at all?
  13. My money is on Nightblood giving Hoid issues at a minimum.
  14. Probably taking it via the heart is enough, but shoving that spike into the heart of a victim might not grant the desired result. Or any result. Depends on how the larkin's sDNA interacts and how they feast, be it a physical trait or other form of trait. I personally do not know what the larkins do with the investiture beyond consuming it (though it seems Chiri-Chiri uses it somewhat for growth) so that would probably have an effect.
  15. Does atium rust at all over time?
  16. Did not know Felt was from House Venture. Thanks for the info!
  17. Which Ventures survived the Catracendre? At least one has to have, since the name continues in Era 2.
  18. I just really want to know why they chose Wings as the curse and I like dragons. :/
  19. There's a curse in Era 2 that is Preservation's Wings. Why wings? Was it just because Preservation was a protective, enveloping thing sort of like an angel, or could it be that Leras was a dragon and Harmony, having seen the history of his powers, knew that and worked it in?
  20. Oh yeah so something more to theorize on. That's what I needed.
  21. Honestly mate, me too. Syl should be happy permanently, for once in Branderson's works.
  22. Wait a second. Does that Aviar have a power that it is actively bestowing? You know the one. If you don't, beware. Clarification under the spoiler cut.
  23. I would say depends on how brutally you broke it and into how many pieces, along with physical location relative to each other and where the stamp is.
  24. We know Lift won't die for some books yet, since she'll be a POV character in the latter half. Dalinar's physical body will die, but at least for a little while he will become a significant enough portion of Honor to Ascend (probably - see the WOB about Dalinar not being Honor yet), Lopen and Kaladin are probably going to die, along with Moash, Shallan won't make it through whole, Adolin will probably continue to almost die but not quite, Rock may end up dead as well, Taravangian will probably die along with Malata and the rest of Vargo's people, Venli will probably get semi-killed but end up Ascending to Odium. There's my guesses.
