Well that's horrifying. Wonder if there's some connection between that and the two factions of the Ones Above further down the timeline? Allomancers vs Radiants, potential spren killers vs people needing spren psychologists.
-
What's happens if you Leech a Shardblade? Or a spren in general, really. Are they protected because it's part of their self, their being, or can you just deprive them of themselves like that?

Do Feruchemists draw from the entire metalmind at once ?
Invocation replied to erarufus's question in Cosmere Q&A
I think that would be a matter of perception both ways, with how much of an impact that has on cosmere magic systems. -
Gandalf's lung cancer is a bigger threat to him than Dumbledore would be.

Steel's speed is countered by bendalloy bubbles, as Era 2 shows. The other solution for a Steelrunner is to checkmate them, which getting them inside a tiny bendalloy bubble would go a long way towards doing by limiting their available space. It evens out.

Inquisitors use close-in weapons. Fists and axes mostly, and if you remember, they kept whaling on her physically. It doesn't need to happen all at once if your enemy is constantly putting himself in contact with someone with an active Leeching effect.
-
Even if they had atium and she didn't it wouldn't matter all that much. She'd have electrum, and even without it, she figured out how to beat atium's power. Even if it were one of the Feruchemichally-enhanced Inquisitors, with Vin having access to Leeching, they wouldn't stand a chance.

Mistborn are compared to armies in one body a bunch of times, and Vin was noted to take that to another level even without cadmium and bendalloy. She was scary normally, but she'd be truly terrifying with the others. I can imagine her zapping a bendalloy bubble around herself and an Inquisitor (Wayne-style), Leeching the Inquisitor's abilities, and then flaring pewter to just kind of obliterate their ribs.

Szeth doesn't have any Breaths at all, that's unique to Nalthis, the world of Warbreaker, but he does have Stormlight, and Nightblood will gladly eat that or any other form of Investiture he can get his blade on.

You can find the full list of the ranks here.

If they weren't true spren, I'd say keenspren would probably be Truthwatcher Platespren, but that doesn't work. Might be anticipationspren or persuasionspren, since on some level Truthwatchers are connected to seeing things and predicting things and disbursing information about those things. Stonewards are probably groundspren or concentrationspren.

He's simply built different. And I mean that literally, since we know he's a robot and all

Under appreciated moments

David making Abraham eat the hotdog tops the list for me. -
It's the opposite of what she was doing to Elend because that's what Elend needed. She isn't like that with Vin, because she's capable of knowing when someone else needs a different path. And we know violence changes Elhokar's mind after the Dalinar incident, so I'm thinking she'd end up taking that route with him, given the chance.

I cannot think of a reason you wouldn't be able to. You can Riot tiredness (to great effect, as Vin has shown) and you can Riot anger. Both of those have direct physiological connections with their effects, there's no reason hunger would be set apart.

"Kurt." "Alec." "Got anything for me?" "Depends." The man looked Alec up and down, taking in the purple gradient suit and glasses. "Did you wear that outfit specifically to piss me off, or was it just a coincidence?" Alec's customary smirk grew into a full-fledged grin. "Happy coincidence, my friend. I mean, we are next to a club. It would be wrong of me not to dress for the occasion!" Kurt's expression, already stern, grew stony. "Then no, I don't have anything for you." Alec clucked softly. "Don't be like that, Kurt." He let his eyes fade to purple just for a second. "I know you have something cooking up in that brain of yours. Fill. Me. In." A pause. "Please." Kurt stiffened, staring at Alec with hesitation plain in his eye. He made a good show of going over it in his head, trying to find any way to not tell the obnoxiously-dressed man in front of him anything, but couldn't quite justify it to himself. He sighed. "Whatever it is, it's not just about the Thread. There's something else here, some other motivation." "I'm not sure that's worth the time it took to get out of you. We're on the same side, Kurt. There's no need to resent me." He laid his hand on Kurt's shoulder. "We should be working together." Kurt failed entirely to find the proper words to tell the man exactly how much he hated being in physical contact with him. "No retort?" Alec smirked. "Go back to watching your charge, Kurt. It's time for me to have a drink."

Only 21? I think he'd probably have enough Bard levels to have gone through every college subclass.- 10 replies

My money is on them melting the iron down and using it for something else.

After what happened with Dalinar? I doubt it. I don't know if she'd need the pewterminds. Elhokar minus Plate would be easy prey for her.
-
She would have beaten humility into him within three hours. I have no doubt.
-
Sounds to me like he could have used a visit from Tindwyl.
-
Yeah, I was looking forward to him becoming a Lightweaver. Mostly to see what his focus was.
