I'd agree on the basis of normal external pressure. Pressure from a Shard is a whole other story in my mind, though. I guess we'll find out what it is eventually.

I'd be willing to bet the magic can survive if the Shard does, especially if there is a Vessel in charge of that Shard that can actively choose to relocate and start giving powers to a different area of the cosmere.

External pressure could be the catalyst that makes his Intent change. You are correct that there is pressure from outside, but if anything, that would make it more realistic that his Intent would change, since Sazed himself is balanced when left to his own devices.

I just want it to be fresh, with Jasnah choosing to be completely aloof from marriage or romance, of her own volition. That's part of what I was thinking, since by all rights, the Ruin half of Harmony should be more powerful than the Preservation half for the same reason Preservation was weaker even before trapping Ruin. Part of that is encased in Nightblood, but I think the rest is either splintered off and forming its own thing (any maybe there's some atium being produced as well).

That's a temporary obstacle. Where I live I can get a pound of Cadmium for $12. By the time Era 3 on Scadrial rolls around, we can see things like that there, much like is already happening with aluminum in Era 2 itself. It's just a matter of time. Granted, that does mean it's a little useless in the short-term, but as time passes it becomes more and more feasible.

Alright, I've got another Talent for Jonathon: Reversal. It's pretty much a retooling of Grandpa Smedry's "being late" Talent, in that it's fairly powerful but quite easily works against him by either sabotaging him or just generally being hard to control. Thoughts?

I wish we knew. Brandon says that at some point he might a conversion thing for the Investiture types, but it won't be for quite a while, if ever.

That might work for the ones that are more artistically inclined.

I agree with Voidus. Some people might be down for it, but not everyone would be comfortable with that or have the ability to do something like that as readily as something like an involved duel on here would need.
