  1. I see a common statement across the theory board that Elend's duralumin-atium gave him a glimpse into the Spiritual. I cannot seem to find a WoB that says this though. Can someone source it? And just a few short minutes after posting this I find what I was looking for. So please ignore.
  2. Ahh, I couldn't remember the Ars Arcanum from WoK so I assumed it had been another Cosmere term drop. welp
  3. Just to have it here for reference, here's a WoB on what a focus is.
  4. It is on the US version. Got my copy right here. It is weird that it made it to print. Oddly phrased, and spoilery.
  5. There were spren on Roshar before Honor, Cultivation, and Odium showed up To me it seems as if Roshar allows for leaks of Investiture into the Cognitive and Physical, giving life to cognitive entities in a way they weren't before, giving us spren.
  6. Forgery alters the Spiritual
  7. The piece of "trellium" is described as
  8. It's probably less "they don't matter that much" and a lot more that they aren't sapient, and so don't get trapped in mind hell when the bond is broken, cause they had nothing to loose. Probably. Edit: Beaten to the punch by seconds
  9. Only WoB's I could find, both through personal searching and checking the Coppermind, never gave an approximate time, just a vague "after". There could always be one though that hasn't made it into the database or referenced on the Coppermind yet I suppose.
  10. I always figured it had to do with the bad alloy filtering the power into something your spiritweb and body can't process, and so it just wrecks havoc.
  11. Is the reason why metals in Allomancy act as a gateway (and filter) for the power related to how infused gemstones glow due to a leak from the Spiritual, and to how atium forming in the Pits of Hathsin, due to a leak, occurred in crystal clusters? (I honestly think I might be overthinking this a bit but who knows)
  12. Yes, TES takes place "shortly" after Elantris
  13. Twinborn Gold, cause zombie virus immunity ftw, plus plenty of jewelry stores with gold just lying around. Would probably get Allomantic steel for the spike. Being able to launch pieces of metal and also watch to see if any metal around you is moving is too useful.
  14. Well according to WoB, there are several Knights Radiant orders that would have been okay with the Sadeas thing For reference:
  15. Going by Brandon's description of it, Cohesion to me seems like it might be the internal forces that hold a thing together in a particular way? Like, making something soft is altering how its internals line up and such. Presumably you could also do the opposite. So Cohesion would sorta be...hardness?
  16. ? I never said anything about whether it was a reasonable conclusion to draw. Just that it can't be held to be a rule, and as such claiming it to be so is conjecture.
  17. Then it's not really a general rule. It's just conjecture.
  18. On this point: There's really nothing to differ over, as Brandon was pretty clear on how the soul affects the body normally (though he didn't touch on how Investiture healing changes this).
  19. While my personal theory is that consciousness/subject experience is a result of the interaction between the Spiritual and Physical, spren always seemed like an obvious exception to any theory like that. I mean, they're living Cognitive entities. They're made of thought-stuff.
  20. You've said before that Investiture has a quantum particle. If an Allomancer were to somehow burn a metal so that only a single Investiture-particle flowed through said metal, would the particle be filtered/altered to become the power for that metal type?
  21. Should probably ask for clarification on that WoB then at some point.
  22. For some reason I read the "both of these strains of humanoids" part as referring to Herdazians and Horneaters. Oh well.
  23. Don't we have a "recent" WoB that implies humans were on Roshar before the Shattering? Found it: https://www.reddit.com/r/Stormlight_Archive/comments/3suo4l/oathbringer_i_think_flashback_dalinar_is_based/cx1nfdk
  24. I'd personally technically define truthspren as logicspren, given that the formal definition of the relationship between True and False is the basis of logic. Also explains Pattern's obsession with, well, patterns.
  25. That doesn't really work, given that Ati was reportedly an incredibly nice person. And Ruin is less generic change, and more entropy.
